I'm sorry but changing a Mazak to metric mode is not the same as a Fanuc. You have to change a lot of machine parameters to do that. This machine was setup by Mazak from the factory as Imperial inches.
@@mazatroltipsandtricks6816 sir thank you but please explain in your own words make your own drawing on radius , turning, and threading and grooving just to know how to program in mazak smooth because I need your help sir iam getting very difficulties while making a program iam from India sir please help me it's my humble request to you sir
Your video's have helped me greatly I have a t32-2 qt 15 and have never run a cnc lathe before and with your help it's been awesome . I did find some stuff useful on my own that may help others with a limited 3 phase power supply, one is adjust machine parameters on the sp19 from 300 to 2500 as then it won't over voltage I run mine off only 40 amps with my phase technologies 10 hp converter . And as for the tool eye the B63 parameter just keep on adjusting until it cuts to what you program the machine for . I do have a question though as my machine doesn't have the EIA option or it's not turned on do you know how to add it ? Thanks again for your great videos .
Sir. Please help me understand how to find the centre point for a part that starts on Z13(mm) and ends at 33.1(mm) The outside diameter is 168.83 and the radius is 35. I have tried using the centre points 98.83(168.83 - 70(R35x2) and the centre on Z 23.05. The radius does not fully form!
Great presentation, but the designer won't give that kind of drawing to the floor..where in the SPT -Z and FPT-Z of the R.125 is not visible on the drawing, so the Qc will be having a hard time in checking part.
my method is always the same move the g54 outside the piece so you can work "air" do the finishing pass with the "wrong" utensil (rough pass) and write the "x" points, based on max turning pass that utensil can do then you have already the coordinate for rough the piece yes im in the wrong place since is auto-programming on mazatrol but i think this type of programming is too difficult and "slow" compared to normal programming on screen ^^
Hi Phil thank you for your time could you please make a program how to plunch into the inside diameter with a boring bar please? (Like nice taper then straight cut with a radius) if it make sense...
This was just a practice part. Many times a CAD drawing will just show the location of the center of the radius but not the end points. I was trying to use a common example.
@@mazatroltipsandtricks6816 if you know how to work out that formula with out a drawing package of the (4.00) please share it will be helpful as most drawings is very limited on details...
My machine was made in Japan back in 1986. This machine does not have a traditional turret. It has 16 tools all of which can be either static tools or live tools or a mix of both. This machine is the predecessor to the Integrex. Achilles heel is the tool changer does not like stringy chips. They will get wrapped up behind the tools and cause issues.

the first radius becomes slightly pointed in the large radius, there needs to be a radius between the large and the small to become tangential

Didn't get the 4 inch dimension center of radious and the right and left explanation of the same .
The 4 inch dimension is the center of the radius as a diameter value. Left and right arrow shows where the radius intersects the line.
@@mazatroltipsandtricks6816 if the radious is 1.25" shouldn't the diameter be 2.5" I'm sorry still a little cloudy for me !!
@@frankalsterful No. The 4 inch dimension is where the center of the 1.25 radius is located in space.

does this apply to 640 control and matrix too ? ?or are those completely different ?
It should apply to those controllers as well. Mazatrol turning is essentially unchanged since the beginning. It works on the newer Smooth controls.
