    Loong long time ago when the people of the world lived in africa, and they began to moved to other location, some people went to asia, middle east and europe, some cross the siberia and then to asia, they move on to alaska, canada and at last to Greenland. That why there are semilarities between asian and Greenlander. Those who challenge them self moved to cold climate where there no easy food, and they have to plan the food they gonna need in the future. And clothing they have to find ......

    Wow that's amazing I have never been to Greenland but I think I may have flown over it when I went to New York. I wanted to watch this video because I am fascinated to know what Nuuk looks like. I like to travel a lot and I came up with an idea of going to Greenland for a holiday. I am planning on seeing the Northern lights and doing some whale watching in Greenland. Flights do seem quite expensive but apparently you can fly from London to Denmark or Iceland and fly from there to Nuuk. Apart from shopping what else is there to do in Nuuk?

    • @1958newboy
      @1958newboy 9 лет назад

      HI Daniel yes your flight patern is right, u can also leave from montreal Canada, use to with non stop to Nook anyway, I fished there for 3 summers, leaving newfoundland in may & returning in oct, would take us about 7 days steam, But the people r very friendly & most talk English, if u get there go to Daddys, not sure if that's the real name, but we called it that lol, but it's a pub & grill, u will get the best burger u will ever eat,

    I heard that 13% of the population is European and not native. So among the remaining 87% native Greenlanders I heard that there are also many white and mixed Greenlanders, Can someone tell me more or less what how Native Greenlanders are racially? In the video I see Inuit predominance but quite a significant white and mixed presence

      Matejko MC workington Ja sam poreklom iz Beograda, živim u Švedskoj i sa tim pasošem mogu da živim na Islandu. Na Islandu sam živeo sve dok moja devojka nije našla drugog momka i onda sam se vratio za Švedsku. Bio sam i u Torshavn i mogu ti reći da je prelepo ali ljudi su mnogo loši. Sledeća destinacija za mene je Nuuk sada preko leta. Inače sada radim ovde u migracionom servisu pa ne putujem stalno, ali odlučio sam da do 30 godine moram proputovati celu severnu Evropu. Karta za Island iz Švedske je koštala 2120 kruna (220€). Tamo sam upoznao dosta naših Balkanaca, a sada je počela sa radom Yugoslavian School u Reykjaviku jer u tom gradu stanuje oko 450 naših Balkanaca

    Great video. If you have any still shots you wouldn't mind uploading to flickr without copyright restrictions, I would be happy to upload to wikimedia and post them on the wikipedia article on nuuk center. the wikimedia entries will credit you as the photographer. Cheers!

      siw therese johansen Greenland is geographically in North America, not in Europe. Politically is European because it's a Danish colony, it's original inhabitants are Inuits a.k.a. Eskimos, like in Alaska and Northern Canada. Greenland is located between Canada and Iceland.
