- Finally, the sought after Selfie Mode made its way into my hands and onto RUclips for a review for you guys. I am loving the waves on this style but does it live up to the hype?! Gorgeous!!!! I have to eventually get this wig in shaded bisquit or sand.
Selfie mode is my favorite wavy style right now. I bought my first one in SS iced latte macchiato and loved it so much that I thought I would branch out and get in biscuit instead of shaded biscuit and I love both of them. I wear my iced latte macchiato very casual and close to the head and I wear my biscuit big and bold and fabulous and I love both of them. The fibers and the hairline are amazing.
And thank you for the effort. I can tell you invest a lot of time editing your videos, but they are unique and most entertaining. I certainly enjoy each one.
My Aunt is a retailer and thank goodness I got her for only $198 and not the ridiculous high cost she is selling for 😮 but to me, she is definitely NOT worth the hype everyone is going on about her (nor for the cost)! She is absolutely gorgeous 😍 but I have ALOT better Raquel Welch wigs! I would have rather bought another hand tied RW than this one 😢 but as I said, she is absolutely gorgeous! I got her in SS Shaded Wheat, and she is gorgeous... But she does tangle super easy, so keep your wide tooth comb w/you and your detangle spray cause she is super bad to tangle!!! I use simply silicone spray it helps extremely well
🤎 your honesty! I knew someone who worked for RW wigs & she said their hf fibers were the lowest quality on the market! So 😢 sad with the cost.
I agree about RW wigs “Perfect Hairline”.
I just realized that is why I don’t automatically reach for them!
I guess I'm the Lone Ranger here. The other comments all love this wig, but not me. It looks too much like a wig. I would feel very self conscious wearing it. It reminds me of wigs from years ago where they never looked realistic and everyone could tell it was a wig. Sorry, it's a no go for me.
I agree. It looked 100% like a wig to me. I would spot it a mile away.
Maybe it was just way, way too much hair for a fine boned, slim face. And/or, the coarse looking thickness of the actual ‘hair strands’ not ringing true next to the baby fine delicate eyebrow hair. That massive wig hair just doesn’t seem possible on a fair skinned Caucasian. Obviously many fair skinned, fine boned woman do have thick coarse hair, but…
Then there is the unrealistically smooth, even, shiny, perfection, of all that long hair. So many things make it look like a wig.
But on the right person, and styled carefully, it would probably look amazing.
I agree. It's like a longer version of Wavvy _______?. I don't like permatease. Too much hair.

@@dragonbone5000 I think this color doesn't do it justice. I've seen another RUclips review from RealWigFun and it looks so much better in the blonde shades she chose.
I have loved my Selfie Mode! I bought her in Iced Cafe Latte for a change from my love of Shaded Hazelnut. When I got her, I truly felt overwhelmed with how long and how much hair there was. She was truly gorgeous, but I felt it has been made for a younger person. I am 52 with significant hair loss from gradual female pattern baldness and then a serious illness this last summer and fall that made huge bald spots. That began my wig journey. Now that I've said that, I wanted to keep Selfie Mode because the cool colors matched my skin tone and she really is stunning. I got to work changing her by cutting the length to just past my shoulders. I then thinned her out considerably as no one was going to think that much hair would look natural on me. I also carefully flattened the permatease. I am not a fan of it and don't prefer the height it gives my wigs. She is very heat friendly and I make sure that I use heat on her at least once a week. Since I cut a considerable amount off of her length, I restyled the waves and curls using steam and a curling iron on 275 degrees. She is easy to keep out of your face by curling the hair near your face away from your face. I wear her all of the time now and get so many compliments. She was worth the money! I am a 60+ practically full-time wig wearer. Lucky for me, with hair, I do look at least 15 years younger! (Without a wig, I absolutely can't say that... I do wear shoulder length and longer hair, as at my 5'10"+ height, it looks best.) I want to wear longer styles for as long as possible, being it just is something I adore; my husband also never wants to see me in a chin length hair style, at least that what he says now. ALL HEAT FRIENDLY STYLES NEED HEAT AND MAINTENANCE. I easily maintain 20 inches of length on many wigs. It does get to be a pain on hair 22 inches long and beyond. I have a petite/ average head and find proportions ate very important. Recent purchases include "DAY TO DATE," "FLIP THE SCRIPT", "READY FOR IT", AND I just ordered both the NEW GABOR DESIGN SERIES, "ALLURING LOCKS" AND "SELFIE MODE" which are both in the color 19/23, BISCUIT. I will use ALL of these styles for special occasions, picture taking/ filming, datenights, etc. I usually wear GABOR, BELLE TRESS, AND SOME JON RENAU SHOULDER LENGTH STYLES. I save Jon Renau, Raquel Welch, Gabor Design Series, Ellen Wille, Tress Allure for more glam. I don't mind PERMATEASE when it supports the style, so long as the volume is NOT overdone. Do I love permatease? No! The more stylish hairdos need structure, and support. Have you ever purchased a wig that flops in your face/eyes all over the whole style? Less, is more, that is so true; but 'adequate' makes it all work.

First of all, you are absolutely gorgeous ❤As a full time wig wearer due to losing my hair to cancer, I do not care for Selfie Mode at all. If i saw you on the street, I would immediately know you were wearing a wig! I don’t know if it’s just me, but she seems to have an unflattering heaviness right above the jaw line. For many women, that’s the heaviest part of the face so no additional bulk is needed! Also, she looks rather dense… I’d say maybe medium density with some primates. The color in SS Mocha even looks very drab to me. If I had to wear her, I would choose pumpkin Spice. Thank you, Amanda, for educating us and for your creative and interesting reviews. Omgosh! 😄 Love Selfie Mode - I would add bangs to this and it would be perfect for me - and the color (don't get me started, lol) - is absolutely gorgeous! She is so pretty and this style and color looks so good on you! It does look like a lot of hair, but most likely will be a great piece for some updos or ponytails! ❤I really do love Selfie Mode, but I know from the many wigs I have tried - I do need bangs, lol - it would help with this hairline as well (just my opinion). It's so funny that this one doesn't look poofy or dense to me but just seems kind of natural with some pretty waves; it probably looks and feels like more volume and more hair in real life, I imagine. Anyway, I think the color really brings out your eyes!!

thank you so much for reviewing this. I purchased selfie mode and have been working on it. I found it a bit too long so I trimmed it roughly 2 inches. My frustration is this…
I wear my hair back 99% of the time with a mask and glasses so the hairline for me is really important and thank you for addressing it. I can’t get enough of trimming with light wisps or baby hairs on wigs as it’s a dilemma for most of them so with that, I will continue to work on it and add your tidbits of how to work it thank you again!!!!!

It's pretty, but it has way too much permatease for my small sized head. It's not a wig I would buy. I appreciate your reviews. You've helped me determine what colors and what wig styles I like most.

I love it BUT…. It is a lot of hair. It is constantly in my face but she is so beautiful. She is my date night or special occasion hair otherwise she would drive me crazy!!!! Lol
Ok my very first impression was No. I thought well maybe she'll part it or brush it or do what you do. I'm almost 90% through the video. I still say No!! It looks like a wig. Don't know about the hype but it doesn't look as good as I've seen others on you.
It tangles so easily = cheap fibers.
