Marlene I’m obsessed with Selfie Mode since seeing your pics from vacay! Now that I’ve seen your review, even more obsessed!! If you had to pick a Raquel Welch color closest to BT Shaded Oatmilk Blonde R, which would you choose?

Shaded Biscuit varies quite a bit from style to style as well. Sometimes you get a nice light and bright and cool application and other times it’s dark and warm. I just ordered this in shaded iced latte macchiato for the first time ever 🤞 trying this color because a friend of mine wears that all the time and she said that this is a really good application of that color as well. Apparently that color varies from style to style as well. I also feel like Wavy Day is a very light application of the hilighted shades in general. My Wavy Day in Shaded Biscuit is probably one of my lightest and brightest wigs in that color, except for Stroke of Genius. I think that is my lightest application and coolest application of Shaded Biscuit. I’m so excited to get mine and yours looks gorgeous on you, Marlene I love this shade on you with your skin tone.
Thank you so much for this review Marlene! I appreciate you telling about the permatese and density. I only have 2 RW wigs-Portrait Mide and Simmer Elite. I’ve recently tried BelleTress Lux & City Collections and I’m obsessed with them for their density, texture and color. I thought for sure I was going to order Selfie Mode after some reviews I had watched but after seeing yours, I may rethink it. It’s a gorgeous wig, but I’m not sure I want that level of density. Is there another wig that’s a similar style you would recommend that is lower density?
Hi Melanie, thank you so much for visiting. Honestly, in these longer styles (especially this length), the density is usually a bit higher than some of the shorter ones. For a bit lighter density, take a look at Jon Renau Lites Collection. Make sure the style has LITE in the style name such as Rachel Lite. The Lite collection have hand-tied caps, no permatease, and the density is on the lighter side. These are not heat friendly but the fibers are long lasting and beautiful. I have a review on Rachel Lite, and it's still one of my favorites although not as long as Selfie Mode. In this style and length, London High Tea by Belle Tress is also one of my favorites since the density is a bit lighter. However, London High Tea has a bang. I have a review on this one as well. If you see a style that you like, feel free to ask me about it. There's a good chance I've either reviewed it or had it in the past and will be happy to let you know before you purchase. xoxo Marlene
Same! I was buying RW but just recently bought a belle tress and omg!!! Obsessed as well! Soooo light and feels so real and so much better! And the colors are waay better! I don’t see me going back to RW now after the BT collections❤ I bought Beverly Hills. Looking to buy Laguna Beach and Chloe next🥰 Chloe is still $$$ though lol

Hi Marlene... i was just reading through the comments, you had mentioned jon renau racheal lite... i bought one about a year and a half aho and the fibers were horrible. (After the pandemic i have found the fibers all ALL wigs 'human and synthetic' to be really poor quality. Can you tell me if they have improved at all. Thanks❤

Honestly, I haven't found any difference in the fibers even though I've reviewed/worn just about all new releases from all brands since 2020. Not sure why yours are different. Did you purchase the wigs from a retailer or were the wigs purchased from a buy/sell page (where wearers sell their wigs)? If it was just the Rachel Lite that felt different, perhaps try Henry Margu, Estetica, or Tress Allure. Their fibers are silky and soft while Jon Renau typically feel a bit drier in comparison. xoxo Marlene
