I’m going to document my progress that I make until I completely learn this piece. Session 1: Learned everything from the beginning to 0:25 (18 March 2023) Session 2: Learned how to connect everything together and to perfect the rhythm. I also learned a small amount after the intro (19 March 2023) Session 3: Learned how to play with both hands after the intro. Although it was not very much. (23 March 2023) Session 4: Learned a ton in the second row. Just need to learn how to connect it with the intro (5 April 2023) Session 5: Learned everything in the second row and how to connect it together (7 April 2023) Session 6: Learned a bit in the third row. Also spent some time to connect it all together and got pretty good at doing the transition from the first to second row. (11 April 2023) Session 7-9: Learned everything in the third row and connected it with everything before. (14-17th April 2023) Session 10: Learned the left hand of the entire fourth row (26 April 2023) Session 11-14: Learned the entire fourth row, played a bit of the fifth row and second page with the right hand. I’m almost at my favourite part at 1:12 and I’m so excited for it (29 April - 6 May 2023) Session 15: Finally learned everything on the first page. Just bought the pdf file for 10 bucks to learn more. (15 May 2023) UPDATE: I’ve not stopped playing. It’s just that it was the end of school so I didn’t have much time to practice. I’ve just kept playing the parts I know the few moments that I’ve gotten the chance. School ends in a week so hopefully I can dedicate more time to this masterpiece (2 June 2023) Session 16-23: These have been short sessions so I’ve not made a ton of progress. I did however, learn the entire first row of the second page which is proving to be insanely hard (7-22 June 2023) Session 24-27: I kept learning past the first row but I have been not been really motivated so far. I have however regained my motivation and hope that I can make some fast progress (27 June - 4 July 2023) Session 28-30: I’m honestly just learning how to play the song all together. I’m pretty proud of myself for not giving up. It’s really hard to not give up but I’m trying to stay focused. It’s better to make more progress than to admire your past progressions. (6 July - 11 July 2023) UPDATE: It’s December and I’ve been very busy studying and making new friends at my school. I can still play much of this piece and do so from time to time and may even continue at some point. But I’m not sure when (December 2)
I gotta be honest. That's some good will power right there. This music is kinda hard to play by the book. Personally I just learned the overall concept and improvise at some parts (I'm still learning, but I'll probably never play exactly like the video tho) If you want some advice, I find it better to understand the music and it's patterns first so I can basically "predict" what comes next. It's easier for me to remember and play this way.
I thought this was beautiful. Attempted to try to play this, thinking it was going to be very easy. on the first 3 notes I realized my hands can’t go from c to e like that :/

i love this lullaby so much and really want to learn it, my issue with piano was that my hands were always too small to properly reach the keys and i'd accidentally hit the neighboring key while i was at it, but i recently got back into it after a few years and really wanna learn this song
