Crippled by anorexia for 15 years and not knowing if she might die in her sleep, Nikkola Mathews has gone from living off half an apple a day, to the 2021 female age group champion of Nutri-Grain IRONMAN New Zealand. Nikki epitomizes the term #AnythingIsPossible and although she has fought to turn her life around, her battle is never won.

i just watched this and from this day forward Nikkola is one of my real life wonder woman 🤘🤙 i deal with celiac disease from 2018 but before that (in 2017) i already decided that i want to do an Ironman one day. It took me 2 years to recover from the damage and from 2020 i am back on track
