Lucky you, that’s awesome. Singapore is a great City. My uncle is buried there in the Kranji War Cemetery. He died there when Singapore was invaded in WWII. My wife and l visited his grave, took pictures and showed them to my dad. I think it brought closure for him in a way.

It isnt Taylor Swift 's concert. Its Taylor Swift"s Carnival! Never had I seen a concert that gathers this amount of excitement in Singapore. IMHO, Singapore has indeed "brought Asia" to her.

OMG Josh!! I was laughing and felt bad for him being in pain at the same time. When you said to him "do you want to go for a walk" and he said "I would love nothing more" as he's hobbling I just bursted out in laughter. I hope his shins are better. Little hint - ditch the sandals and wear tennis shoes (with socks) especially when walking so much. Glad you had a nice trip.

We were in Sydney, Australia last month and Taylor Swift was performing there for 4 days. Unfortunately, we didn’t go to the concert but Swifties were everywhere!

The Taylor Swift Mania was probably because she doesn’t tour that part of the world often; I think that fact that this tour is in Asia right now and there’s such a mania is a testament to her global reach.

YAYAYYAAYAY how fun!! You deserved it! On the first flight I thought HOORAY no jumpseat. oooohhhh spoke too soon! One of the funniest things I noticed in Singapore was how obsessed they are with being the "WORLDS TALLEST" "THE 3RD BIGGEST" "USED TO BE THE FIRST BUT IS NOW THE SECOND HIGHEST" etc on, like, EVERYTHING. 🤣

If you've got Tiger Balm from Singapore, it will be the best balm you will ever need for aching muscles from too much walking. Its available at supermarts, Chinese medical shops or provision shops near to train stations.
That was entertaining, felt like I flew across the world and saw her in Singapore as well lol. I would be too tired/lazy to do that though. Glad you had fun. Still can’t believe Taylor has so much energy and able to pull off a concert like that every single night and travel around and not be flattened by jet leg or sore vocal cords etc. She is truly amazing!

From Kentucky myself, small world. I love east Asia; I'm glad that you got to visit Singapore. And, yeah, LAX is hot garbage. I always try to reenter the US someplace else, e.g., Honolulu, Chicago, Detroit. Do you and Josh have Global Entry? It comes with Pre-Check as well as NEXUS (for travel to Canada) or SENTRI (for travel to Mexico) if you want it. GE is usually a lifesaver for me when reentering the US (unless at LAX).

You need to come back to Singapore and visit Arab Street, Haji Lane area. It's really a cool place and IG worthy. Also how could you not try Singaporean Malay food and experience its culture? Something that definitely you're unfamiliar with.

On accommodation, Singapore public transport like bus, Grab, taxi and MRT (subway) are safe and well connected, any decent hotel around the island should be okay.😊….. less pricey too.
Staying here a few days more will be wonderful after travelling all the way here.

I absolutely love that you went to Singapore to see Taylor! I went to the UK in 2021 to see my two favorite bands and a favorite musician comedian, because the stars aligned and they were all touring the UK at the same time. It warms my heart when I see others traveling to go to concerts.
That was a fun trip. To be young again & have all that energy. You looked so cute in that outfit. Taylor is from my hometown in Pa. Remembering her live at our local radio station singing & playing the guitar & our baseball stadium singing the national anthem. She sure has come a long way. Never saw her in concert though. Sell out too fast & really can’t afford the tickets either. Debbie 😊
