I've BEEN AT IT SINCE SEVENTY SEVEN ALOT HAS CHANGED I'M 63 ABOUT TO RETIRE BUT I'M NOT SURE I'M GOING TO BE ABLE TO SERVIVE WISH ME LUCK AND SAY A PRAYER 🙏👍🙏👍🤣🙏 🙏🙏
Thank you brother for all the miles and sleepless nights. Keep the rubber side down until you get "Somewhere over the Rainbow". Just cleared mm 63 myself brother. "Eagle Claw" on the side.
I ran 2.5 million accident free miles in the northeast. After 27 years I gave it up in January of 2022. There r days I miss it , there r days I miss it more. After 3 months of being retired I went back to work , this time as a yard jockey. I can’t believe how this new breed of drivers cannot back up.. they r clueless , they dress in pajamas , crocks , n sweat pants n I honestly feel disbelief that these new drivers represent us old school irreplaceable drivers who have left the profession.
Drove OTR 11 yrs. 21 till 32. The whole time I was with US Xpress. Loved it till about yr 10 then I felt I wanted to do something different. Went to nursing school. Now a travel RN and make way more money and have way more free time. But I sure wish I loved nursing the same way I did trucking. But trucking changed with the amount of foreigners, electronic log book, etc. I'm 49 now and will probably change careers again to something I want to do and money won't be such an issue. But, with that said, this coming week I will be getting my 2 yr physical done because not giving up my CDL. I still get out there every now again with a buddies log truck.
@Nicholas TV Funny you should ask. I'm driving a Volvo tractor, bobtail, to Washington from Arizona. I gotta pick up a trailer and bring it back. In the mean time I'm waiting for a nursing contract to come through in Phoenix.
Grew up an Air Force BRAT, my family and I have driven the Cardinal Points of the Campus both Stateside and in Europe. I did 9+ years in the Marine Airwing. Went to Truck Drivers School in 1988 and covered most of the Country until early 2017. Thinking about going back out on the road. Guess I still have the urge to keep moving around.
I'm no trucker, just a military brat, but I love traveling, and we traveled a lot and seen a lot, but not as much as truckers, especially those that pull long hauls. These photos as absolutely breath taking.
Trying to get my cdl I drove truck my family been truckers good money but long time away from the family in Missouri you can own your own rig and drive 90 miles radius and don't need cdl
