Madness and insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results the union between saron and saruman is actually the opposite... But then again...u humans rake leafs just for them to fall again ... How about we just cut down the tree and rid u of your stupidity

They had to be different since the orcs from the lotr were from a different area than the ones in the hobbit but yes the lotr orcs were scary as hell
@Donavon Howard too much cgi in the hobbit trilogy. LOTR even now after 18 years looks so good and is so enjoyable. CGI is good but too much is just boring
Landon Oja i agree but i think in the story The Hobbit trilogy should be before LOTR .
the thing that freaks me out most about Uruk hai is not because their terrifying or will kill no matter what. it's the fact that they sound like FREAKING COWS

I can't imagine anyone better as Saruman than Christopher Lee. Maybe Charles Dance would be equally good, but Lee has so much more power in his voice.
Clancy Brown, maybe... Or Patrick Stewart...
Uruk-hai armor is badass. However, for the Orcs of Mordor I wish the Jackson film let them keep the helmets with the red eye logo on it.
For those of you who are wondering how the Uruks were "created" it's not what you're thinking, they aren't just dug up from the ground like potatoes. Orcs, Uruks, Golbins ect. are born naturally just like any other species. Of course this would've been difficult to show as in the books, Saruman already had Isengard built with many foundries, forges and houses for his armies. Saruman cross bred Orcs, Goblin-Men, Half Orcs and Men to create the Uruk-Hai. When Gandalf visited him, Saruman had everything covered up using props and/or magic. But in the film we see otherwise and now come to why the decision was made to have the Uruk-Hai come from the ground. According to an old Manuscript of Tolkien when discussing the first creation of the Orcs by Morgoth was that, they were created from the Slime and Muck of the Earth. Then was later retcon to be that Orcs were once Elves as Saruman described to Lurtz.
Tolkien was a devout Catholic and filled his work with Christian metaphors. I always felt that Elves represented Angels while Orcs represented Demons, because when Satan fell from Heaven a third of the angels fell with him- just like certain elves being corrupted into orcs
Tolkien was never really satisfied with the origin of orcs, although they are on of his greatest creations.
Created from Slime and Muck they could have no fea spirit and handling on their own, could not have a real life as that came only from Iluvatar.
He neither liked them as corrupted Elves, that sort of would demean his concept of Elves.
He could have avoided it by going biblical with a touch of prometeus as the snake de facto steals the knowledge of good and bad from Jahweh and hands it in the form of fruit to mankind, or like prometheus stealing the fire from the gods, could have Melkor steal the gift of life from Iluvatar.
@@kamion53 a degraded materialistic humanoid, devoid of the divine spark; from the dirt only. Also, I think one version of orc grows from spores in the ground.
Tolkien was devout. The Uruk Hak were dug up like potatoes. Haha I'm Scottish/Irish and a massive Tolkien fan. That saying has made my Monday.
@@kamion53 I think the corruption of Orcs from Elves makes a little more sense if we are talking biblically. We can see Elves as the lesser angels of Gods creations. Therefore if Morgoth was Lucifer and Sauron more as an anti-christ that rebelled against God and so too with a 1/3 of God's lesser Angels then those Lesser Angels became demons, thus if we then go back to Tolkiens world the Orcs being demonic versions of the Elves does make sense. At least to me, or what Tolkien was trying to make.
What struck me was that Grima, once a man of Rohan, cried at 5:03
Like: "I only wanted a place of wealth and my own, not see my people slaughtered by these...monsters..."
it's true, he didnt want that, he only wanted a better life, to have Eowyn and a fine home to have with her, he never wanted a bloodbath.
Grima: I want a nice home
Genie: say no more...
Then why did Grima tell Saruman that the Rohirrim will take the path to Helms Deep, smirking that there will be women and children? What the Grima think would happen?
@@MrKingYuji Who knows.
@@MrKingYuji change of heart maybe..
That moment when Saruman steps out the balcony to address the Urukai is one of the most badass moments in film history. That Horn is haunting! TO WAAAAAR!!!
Fun bit of depth for 5:40
It is likely that besides the fellowship members no man had seen an Uruk-Hai before
Taller than any Orc or man
More formidable and standing strong
This was unlike the bent angry squable of the orc
And here they were in ranks & divisions mounting a strategic assault
The men in helmsdeep were tired & likely had family and friends in the keeps and knew they were outnumbered and just to be slaughtered without mercy to an enemy they didn't even know existed
So the sounds of slamming pikes and beating chests and Uruk-Hai sport warshouts and taunts letting all to know it was a matter of time
And one Archer just can't hold a second longer and a lone arrow comes flying off the wall and tags one of these monsters clear in the throat
You can see a look of interest and relief pass over the men & stoic elves
They weren't invincible
They fell to that wound and the others could fall too
That was the moment of hope
This enemy is new & capable
But the age of Rohan won't be ended tonight
Your analysis is stronger than the Rohan itself :D I really like it
Kadajliger100 the uruk hai are the best on lotr not on all middle earth if you see the hobbit you should notice that the gundabad and dolguldur orcs are better than urukhai
Rohan would of most certainly fell were it now for Gandalf and the Rohirim.
Thus meaning the death of Isildurs heir and eventually the death of all men.
And thats why i always wanted revengo on free people i certanly slaughter every good faction in bfm2

The Orcs - You’re made of man flesh
Saruman- ...
Yea hes not a man fool
Looks like meat is back on the menu boy!
Lol they wouldn't stand a chance against Saruman. Orcs automatically respect any Mair who wants to command them for the will of evil.
Wizards are not humans in the Lotr universe, they're immortal beings just like the Elves, disguised as old men - and also a kind of demigods. They're Maiar, the same kind as Sauron. All of them do not have the same morals or lieges, so they are fallible, but then there's ones like Gandalf and Radagast.
Also, orcs are not as dumb as not knowing which humans they're allied with.
@@Elaini-Gaming true, but his flesh might as well be man flesh. Also, it’s a joke.
10k Uruk-Hai had lined up in formation right out of the tower and Grima hadn't heard or seen anything. He must be relatives with Alfred from the Hobbit who didn't notice the army of the Elves coming to Dale.
I was thinking the same too . They do slightly look alike . And have the same qualities . Both serve someone and end up turning slightly good but also end up dying . Never thought about the army of elves and uruk hai comparison though lol . Made it more real .
They might be in the those mine and complete formation after
I took an examining look at the work behind the shots. Really, 8-10 were done with real people.
Close up of marching Orcs in Isengard, in Amon Hen and Helm's Deep;
The Close up of the group of elves and Rohirrim defending the wall;
The Orcs doing a haka (or war taunt)...
The list basically goes on!
It took hours getting all these people ready with their make-up, but the result is amazing!
This is why these scenes actually look real and raw as opposed to scenes that look strictly from a fake video game.
What a voice Christopher Lee has! All the different enunciations and tones he delivers are outstanding. He was the perfect cast for Saruman.

Uruk hai is orcs and humans mixed
@@beliarek4595 - In the book, the Uruks and the human/orc hybrids are very different species. The goblin-men were used as spies by Saruman, and could somewhat fit in human "lower" society and mix with human brigands. The Uruks on the other han are full blown orcs/goblins (same thing) used by both Sauron & Saruman, and are bigger than regular men.
Randall Flagg - I thought it was uruks are just man sized orcs while most orcs are usually smaller.
@@gujwdhufjijjpo9740 thats actually very accurate
Saruman wanted the Ring for himself. Saruman sided with Sauron thinking it as a way of survival. In the meantime Saruman was building his own Army loyal directly to him. His Army was also bred physically stronger, and more intelligent than the typical Orc of Mordor. - I think Saruman overestimated the power of his force, and also felt rushed due to a lack of time between finding the Ring, and Saurons strength growing, and growing every day. Saruman knew time was shortening, and needed to quickly find the Ring. Yet, Rohan had already proven to hinder his efforts, and because of such they needed to be destroyed. Yet, Saruman was obviously too hastily ambitious, and perhaps too Cursed from the start. - He would have done better perhaps continuing in strengthening his forces. If he had not marched his Army on Rohan his Army would have easily destroyed the Ents. He would have survived atleast for abit longer. Probably long enough to march with Sauron at Gondor. - Or to secretly attack Mordor while Sauron is distracted at Gondor. Either way. It was a chance towards something else.
Right
When Saruman yells "To war!", I almost feel like marching on Helm's Deep myself!

Yea like they r not gonna fight after marching all this time
Little does anyone know that someone later after the battle late at night would sneak in and dismantle dismanlte the old mans respirator.
Fake! Uruk-Hai were Saruman's great work to bring the orcs back into the light, turn evil back to good. He was building a city where orcs and men could live in peace.
He even tried to invite Hobbits, but the hobbits were rude and started hacking off arms of his orc messengers. The orcs lost their temper and tried to force the hobbits to see peace and love and the rest is history.
The libtards don't understand that history is written by the victors. Orcs were really nothing like the unfair depictions of that liar JRRT. Orcs were peaceful, peace loving peaceniks with a beautiful culture until they were betrayed by the racist elves. They tried to defend themselves and fought bravely but had no tools to fight elvish lies.
