I took an examining look at the work behind the shots. Really, 8-10 were done with real people. Close up of marching Orcs in Isengard, in Amon Hen and Helm's Deep; The Close up of the group of elves and Rohirrim defending the wall; The Orcs doing a haka (or war taunt)... The list basically goes on! It took hours getting all these people ready with their make-up, but the result is amazing!
If you have they CD box set that showed the making of this, the casting for this scene was terrific. Lots of Uruks ( real Guys) used in that first scene. The mob was getting so into their parts they started chanting and heckling the elves like it was a premier league futball game.
"But my lord there is no such force." Seeing this in a classic theatre, I was actually terrified and excited at the same time on the battles ahead. Such a good transition to such a good movie.
For those of you who are wondering how the Uruks were "created" it's not what you're thinking, they aren't just dug up from the ground like potatoes. Orcs, Uruks, Golbins ect. are born naturally just like any other species. Of course this would've been difficult to show as in the books, Saruman already had Isengard built with many foundries, forges and houses for his armies. Saruman cross bred Orcs, Goblin-Men, Half Orcs and Men to create the Uruk-Hai. When Gandalf visited him, Saruman had everything covered up using props and/or magic. But in the film we see otherwise and now come to why the decision was made to have the Uruk-Hai come from the ground. According to an old Manuscript of Tolkien when discussing the first creation of the Orcs by Morgoth was that, they were created from the Slime and Muck of the Earth. Then was later retcon to be that Orcs were once Elves as Saruman described to Lurtz.
Tolkien was a devout Catholic and filled his work with Christian metaphors. I always felt that Elves represented Angels while Orcs represented Demons, because when Satan fell from Heaven a third of the angels fell with him- just like certain elves being corrupted into orcs
Tolkien was never really satisfied with the origin of orcs, although they are on of his greatest creations. Created from Slime and Muck they could have no fea spirit and handling on their own, could not have a real life as that came only from Iluvatar. He neither liked them as corrupted Elves, that sort of would demean his concept of Elves. He could have avoided it by going biblical with a touch of prometeus as the snake de facto steals the knowledge of good and bad from Jahweh and hands it in the form of fruit to mankind, or like prometheus stealing the fire from the gods, could have Melkor steal the gift of life from Iluvatar.
@@kamion53 a degraded materialistic humanoid, devoid of the divine spark; from the dirt only. Also, I think one version of orc grows from spores in the ground.
@@kamion53 I think the corruption of Orcs from Elves makes a little more sense if we are talking biblically. We can see Elves as the lesser angels of Gods creations. Therefore if Morgoth was Lucifer and Sauron more as an anti-christ that rebelled against God and so too with a 1/3 of God's lesser Angels then those Lesser Angels became demons, thus if we then go back to Tolkiens world the Orcs being demonic versions of the Elves does make sense. At least to me, or what Tolkien was trying to make.
Wizards are not humans in the Lotr universe, they're immortal beings just like the Elves, disguised as old men - and also a kind of demigods. They're Maiar, the same kind as Sauron. All of them do not have the same morals or lieges, so they are fallible, but then there's ones like Gandalf and Radagast. Also, orcs are not as dumb as not knowing which humans they're allied with.
Saruman wanted the Ring for himself. Saruman sided with Sauron thinking it as a way of survival. In the meantime Saruman was building his own Army loyal directly to him. His Army was also bred physically stronger, and more intelligent than the typical Orc of Mordor. - I think Saruman overestimated the power of his force, and also felt rushed due to a lack of time between finding the Ring, and Saurons strength growing, and growing every day. Saruman knew time was shortening, and needed to quickly find the Ring. Yet, Rohan had already proven to hinder his efforts, and because of such they needed to be destroyed. Yet, Saruman was obviously too hastily ambitious, and perhaps too Cursed from the start. - He would have done better perhaps continuing in strengthening his forces. If he had not marched his Army on Rohan his Army would have easily destroyed the Ents. He would have survived atleast for abit longer. Probably long enough to march with Sauron at Gondor. - Or to secretly attack Mordor while Sauron is distracted at Gondor. Either way. It was a chance towards something else.

Fake! Uruk-Hai were Saruman's great work to bring the orcs back into the light, turn evil back to good. He was building a city where orcs and men could live in peace. He even tried to invite Hobbits, but the hobbits were rude and started hacking off arms of his orc messengers. The orcs lost their temper and tried to force the hobbits to see peace and love and the rest is history.
The libtards don't understand that history is written by the victors. Orcs were really nothing like the unfair depictions of that liar JRRT. Orcs were peaceful, peace loving peaceniks with a beautiful culture until they were betrayed by the racist elves. They tried to defend themselves and fought bravely but had no tools to fight elvish lies.
3:25 Looks like those arrows were left in maggoty bread for three days. Even if you live the puncture of a body part you'll get a terrible orchish infection. Poor Boromir.
One credit Saruman has is the ability to be able and overcome any obstacle in the major battles. Here Helm's Deep had an enormous wall: send an army of 10,000 Uruk-Hai and early explosive bombs. Battle of Minas Tirith: have a massive army attack and bring forth Grond to breech the city.
Seeing the orc pits make me once again ponder as to what was the actual process of making an orc if there were no female ones lol. Did Saruman just drop some goblin blood, elf blood, man blood, baking powder into a pit, stir and just let it marinate for two hours lol?
in the books the Urak-hai are the result of Orcs raping human women. it is referenced multiple times and i theorize they were under a spell or were bred into it like cattle super fucked
If you thought about it, Saruman made an army even BETTER than the ones in Mordor. If he stayed on Gandalf's side, the war would be over in days, orcs fighting orcs, while the main characters are laying down a hill, eating popcorn.
While the Uruk-Hai were certainly superior to the regular orcs and even the black Uruks of Mordor, Sauron had many more orcs than Saruman. Like at least several tens of thousands more orcs. Plus, Sauron had the Olog-hai, fellbeasts, and most importantly the Nazgul. If we're comparing human allies, Saruman only had the Dunlendings, mere bandits and armed peasants. Sauron on the other hand had Easterlings with their war chariots, Haradrim with their mumakil, and the Corsairs of Umbar with many ships. The military of Mordor far outclasses the military of Isengard.
They shall be my finest warriors, these orcs who give themselves to me. Like clay I shall mould them and in the furnace of war forge them. They will be of iron will and steely muscle. In great armour shall I clad them and with the mightiest guns will they be armed. They will be untouched by plague or disease, no sickness will blight them. They will have tactics, strategies and machines such that no foe can best them in battle. They are my bulwark against the light. They are the destroyers of Humanity. They are my Fighting Uruk-Hai and they shall know no fear.
Uruk hai's are a formidable foe to encounter, their brute force, beastly nature and stamina are enough to tear apart the middle earth if were developed further by saruman.

Are you serious if you think that your not old enough to watch the movie
Satcasm requires a kind of intellect. Sorry, you don't have on.
The wall around Isengard just got 10 feet higher then

Theoden’s reaction is priceless...serious W.T.F.???? PS great vid, thanks!
If the old man didn't fire first maybe they would of left.
Maybe... they just came to put a display 😅😂😊
This was a masterpiece
6:53 the Olympic torch.
Matthew Stretch imagine if the uruk hai had a team.
Matthew Stretch the ref makes a bad call in fencing and gets choked out.
Best trilogy ever. Change my mind. You can't.
Holy shit this movie is well-made!
I love the eye color of the Uruk-hai. Creepy , badass looking but pretty too
in blackest night and crimson dawn shall they be clad in the mightiest of armor and deadliest weapons they i call them the uruk-hai!
Amazing special effects ,I mean you could not just watch one..it was all or nothing..ha..loved the movies...
6:08 FIRST BLOOD
Overkill!
That's enough . Now I have to watch the trilogy again after 12 years
I always liked that kamikaze torch bearing orc haha
04:43 damn he’s got some powerful pipes. Think the Uruk-hais dudes in the back row heard what he was saying 🤔
“And so it begins” dude your old ass archer started this
I literally said that!😂😂😂 I was like, "good job dude".
Yea like they r not gonna fight after marching all this time
Little does anyone know that someone later after the battle late at night would sneak in and dismantle dismanlte the old mans respirator.
Rlly loved all these movies
3:25 Looks like those arrows were left in maggoty bread for three days. Even if you live the puncture of a body part you'll get a terrible orchish infection. Poor Boromir.
I have watched this film 10 times. It is very popular film for me.
What was with the audio on the suicide bomb part?
Remember seeing this movie in the theater. Bad ass experience.
Well i guess there are female ones
They mine them
in the books the Urak-hai are the result of Orcs raping human women. it is referenced multiple times and i theorize they were under a spell or were bred into it like cattle
super fucked
The fact that the war happened at night and we can still see everything. Game of Thrones were pointing at YOU
What is it with lotr saying
"MORRRRDORRRRRR"
"SAURRRRRON"
"SARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUMAN"
Lol
+FalloutRain Maybe he's just slurring because he's drunk xD
@J. Professional s8 is trash
@J. Professional season 8
TO WARRRRRRRRR
Lol never noticed really, but it does sound cool
The Uruk-hai were so intimidating. The growls and snarls they made 😅
If you thought about it, Saruman made an army even BETTER than the ones in Mordor.
@@johannchin6431 Thank you, this explained a lot
They shall be my finest warriors, these orcs who give themselves to me. Like clay I shall mould them and in the furnace of war forge them. They will be of iron will and steely muscle. In great armour shall I clad them and with the mightiest guns will they be armed. They will be untouched by plague or disease, no sickness will blight them. They will have tactics, strategies and machines such that no foe can best them in battle. They are my bulwark against the light. They are the destroyers of Humanity. They are my Fighting Uruk-Hai and they shall know no fear.
3:36 I used to be an adventurer like you...until I took six arrows to the chest
3 actually
R.I.P Christopher Lee😘😘
0:32 what is the name of that theme,i want to listen to all of it
Isengard Unleashed
Omg thank you so much
Uruk hai's are a formidable foe to encounter, their brute force, beastly nature and stamina are enough to tear apart the middle earth if were developed further by saruman.
that dude saying "and so it begins" like.dude you start it
the director of these trilogy is so genius
Saruman: Whom do you served?
Lurtz: I am Groot
saurmon's - lurtz speech is one of the most epic scenes in movie history
