  • Trying out LOG footage from the Osmo Pocket 3 and very basic grading (I spent one minute on this) in Davinci Resolve.
    This is what UNESCO, who has designated this place a world heritage site, has to say about Nikko: The shrines and temples of Nikko, together with their natural surroundings, have for centuries been a sacred site known for its architectural and decorative masterpieces. They are closely associated with the history of the Tokugawa Shoguns.
    This video was handheld in 4K 60fps with the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 in October 27th 2023.

    nice color grading , has a more cinematic look now with this , mine just came today as well and I am very happy with it so far , low light is much better than Poket 2 , background separation is much natural and visible when filming myself , also I love that you can now use OTG and directly copy the footage with a data cable on your phone , great for contect creation , especially now that RUclips studio suports 4k upload directly from your Android phone

    Beautiful quality. The only downside to having a gimbal is the little bobble as you walk. Not a dealbreaker for me, personally. Most of my shots are static anyway. But this came out very well. Good job

    Wow, I noticed playing this video on Apple TV that it looked odd. It looked hazy for some reason. I then watched it on my iPhone at 2k and there was a huge difference. Very sharp and good contrast and great color. Apple TV was streaming a very compressed version. I’m glad it looks so good because I’m also planning to get this camera.

    Soothing and calming, thank you for the Nikki tour. That lantern corridor is tranquil in winter when they are partially covered by snow 😊. Do you need to ask permission when recording pass the temple gate into the inner area?

    Thank's for the video! I was thrilled to see you demo'ing the Pocket 3 like this. Also the other video with auto settings. I just want the perfect travel cam. I'm not interested in content creation. I wanna see what this device can do with the bare minimum and that's why it was nice to see an unfiltered look at the camera quality like in your other video. I've been interested in the Pocket since the very first one and always decided to wait for the next one. With this one I pretty much had given up any hope. I was this close to just going for the Action 4, then this thing came along and it kinda blew away any and all expectations I had for it. It really improves upon the previous versions in pretty much every single aspect. Price is a bit steep, but there is so much tech packed into this small form factor.

    • @merchinator7405
      @merchinator7405 11 месяцев назад

      That's what I noticed as well. After watching countless reviews at this point, I think its safe to say they simply improved upon the motion handling in general, even when you just use auto settings. So you are not forced to use ND filters to get smooth motion anymore.

    I just got this camera, but I haven't used it yet. I am a little bit worried now that I see this. I have to be honest, I have a GoPro that I hacked to record at 200 Mbps, and the quality just blows away what I saw in this video. Everything looks soft to me, and shadows are all crushed. Maybe this is intentional - I know most creators keep bitching about too much sharpness in videos. They all seem to like the video blurry. So if this video is not intentionally soft, I am worried about my purchase.

    • @TokyoExplorer
      @TokyoExplorer  11 месяцев назад

      Did you watch the 4K version of the video? There's certainly a different look comparing footage from a big sensor to the tiny ones in an action cam. Sounds like your preference is the latter.

    • @CockpitScenes
      @CockpitScenes 11 месяцев назад

      @@TokyoExplorer Yes, I did watch the 4K version. I actually don't like the look of an action cam, that's why I bought the Osmo Pocket 3. I have watched a ton of Pocket 3 videos now, and the quality is all over the place. Some are just outstanding, and some not so much. The GoPro is bad in low light (another reason I bought the Pocket 3), but here are a few samples of what I was talking about in some footage from it: ruclips.net/video/9abFVM1sqUM/видео.htmlsi=DZD6fQ9w3NiPYz8P&t=790 ruclips.net/video/vMbNAihyyc8/видео.htmlsi=nKta3zpskVNOc4_p&t=165
