Thanks! Last question: should I wet the excavator sand a little to "activate it" and then let the humidity air out before I ever put the desert iguana in there or is that not necessary?

Can they mold the excavator sand into burrows even if it's dry? I've read you're supposed to minimize humidity for desert iguanas (being from the desert), so I probably wouldn't want to mist the substrate if I can avoid it.
