- In this tutorial I will show you how to crochet this really sweet square for blankets and afghans. The pattern will look amazing when joined up!
It’s similar to my other square but a little smaller and only 3 rounds.
You will need DK yarn and a 4mm crochet hook.
Although you can use any yarn or hook to make these.
Have fun with this one! Nora 🤗❤️

Oh dear! I would need to follow you step by step! But it would be worth it. Thank you for a great job of teaching this clever square.
You’re absolutely welcome! You can slow the video in play back options. Where I may sound robotic 🤣but you can take your time.
I would like to see one more Round. I make these in cotton for dishcloths.
Hi it’s exactly the same as the last round. All you need to remember is the corner colour is always the same and you will have 6 more dc of the side colour
Thank you. It worked fine! Love these patterns.

How do you join with one color? I am glad I found you on RUclips!
With the above colours I would join the cream sides first then the caramel corners ❤

Very beautiful pattern. I’ve just have a question on how you particularly join your squares.??
Hi thank you! Im afraid a bit of work involved. But I joined my
Corners using the darker yarn with a needle then joined all the cream in one go. Using the whip stitch. If anyone can suggest any other ways that would be helpful ❤
Hmm caramel and cream colours! Makes me think of eating chocolate, yum!
Caramel swirl cheesecake? 😆
@@CrochetByNora caramel swirl cheesecake - sounds delicious but my favourite is French vanilla. I love your granny squares, they’re so different to the usual granny square. Are they all your own design? You’re so creative! Thanks for sharing! ❤️😊
Precioso!!!! Disculpe cómo se unen? Gracias 😊
🤔any ideas anyone? I was thinking maybe a whip stitch aand join all the side edges first? If you put 4 squares together in a square and sew all the sides then in the middle join the corners in the corner colour? ❤️
Has anyone tried this with worsted weight ? And has anyone tried making the squares bigger? How big?
I’ve made several of these. I’m not sure how to explain this, mine are a little wavy looking. I’m not sure if it’s caused by the yarn. My stitch count is the same as yours. Also I haven’t blocked them yet so maybe they will flatten out and lay correctly. Could my stitches be too tight? Wish I could post a picture.
oooh im not sure! wavy? could be when you are carrying the yarn through you have pulled it too tight? try and keep a looser hand and see if that makes any difference? good luck
@@CrochetByNoraThank you I’ll try that.
Mine too .
If you continue too long with carrying the yarn instead of cutting wouldn't it waste yarn ?
I think for the small squares there’s not much wastage. If you are doing a larger blanket and continuing then yes cut the yarn. Plus you don’t want to drag it so far corner to corner. However there will be more ends to tie in. X
What is the finished size? I need a 3 1/4" square.
Hi mine measured about 3.5 inch. But everyone’s tension is different x
