In a lot of installations I've seen, the wiring (and connectors) is nowhere near matched to the size of the alternator or winch. Pretty easy to get a 10% drop in voltage to the actual winch with too small wire and cheap/dirty connections.

So have you done any extra wire upgrades under the hood because if you haven’t your taxing that stock charge wire to much

Good video yes you have a 250a alternator but at ideal rpm the alternator is not put out a full 250a . When your wrenching give it some gas bring up them rpm’s.

Did you put an amp meter on the alternator to test the actual output? Trusting a sticker isn’t smart

Get demonstration, I'm looking to upgrade the alternator in my LJ too. I see it less as "you only want to winch faster" like some people say and more thinking worst case scenario, winching at night, light are on, fridge is going, heat is on because it's 0° up in the mountains, do you really want a stock winch in that scenario? Not really.

I really didn’t grasp how pathetic the factory one was till I upgraded. This is almost a necessity for these vehicles. I agree with those scenarios, and that would be ideal conditions for it. Thanks for watching.
