I know someone who looked at pr0n0graphy for many years and when they finally went to confession and repented, the trauma and scars and effects were still there. She literally couldn't look at men or women without those intrusive thoughts plaguing her. She wished that people could go back to Jesus' times and wear large cloaks and tunics because she didn't get those thoughts when people dressed like that. Wearing long jackets or skirts to cover one's backside is really helpful to people like that. Sorry to say, but pants can show too much, even jeans. Wearing a long loose Shawl, Pancho, T or Cardigan can also help out.

The Bible tells us not to be a block for our neighbors stumble, but Jesus also say that if your eye makes you to sin, pluck it out. If this woman is having these thoughts so gravely, maybe she should seek help, therapy, spiritual counseling, and prayers. I know I've been there, but I learned that with time and work it gets better. Don't avoid the inner work by frowning on your neighbors ways. The world is not going to adjust, the way is hard, leaving the world behind is hard, He said it would be.
Yes I agree, Many women and men don't practice modesty anymore not even in church. Women wear super tight jeans that show everything and men wear tight pants and Tshirts to show their muscles. Although anyone can fall into vanity, I'm especially concerned for the young girls. Most young girls do not have God fearing women in their lives to set a godly example for them on how to act like a real woman according to God's holy word. They are not taught anything about the great women of God in history like Queen Esther, Ruth, Deborah and the blessed mother of our God, Mary. I agree that women can wear jeans but not to the point where they are super tight and showing their buttom. As a women myself, I like to wear long blouses and long cardigans that cover my buttom. As follows of Christ we shouldn't call for attention because that comes from the evil one. Even when family members come especially men, I like to cover up. We should follow the example of Mother Mary. The more you focus on external beauty the more attractive you become, the more attractive you become the more people you will attract, the more people you attract, the more attention you will get. The more attention you get, the more important you feel. The more important you feel, the more important attraction becomes. You now stand on Satan's territory called Vanity.

As a male who is also a late bloomer (puberty) my default in public around women is look down, and focus on the ground. I usually use music to divert my attention from women dressed immodestly. I also find myself being highly scrupulous (I have OCD). So I have fallen into the trap of "testing", what I mean by this is if I accidentally glance at a woman who is dressed immodestly, my mind goes on the fritz and I'll think, did I just glance at her accidentally or was I willingly lusting after her. I dress modestly, especially in church, but I personally like to keep practicality in mind however I dress. I sometimes wear yoga pants around the house, but I don't leave the house in them. Also, I don't think bathing suits are immodest as long as they are not bikinis or ones with halter necklines. I personally wouldn't want to wear long sleeve swim tops and swim pants because of wet sleeves or pant legs, because of sensory sensitivity for me.
When our Lady appeared in Fatima she told the children that many souls would go to hell because of fashions that would come out and offend our Lord gravely. What happened 20 years later..... Bathing suits came out. A good holy priest once said a good Catholic does not go to the beach. Why? Well all the sin that there is at the beach with how people dress and act.

Quick question what do you do if you still like clothing that is has the connotation of being immodest? i wouldn’t wear them immodestly but i would layer up. Am i being immodest for even wanting to incorporate “immodest items” in my mind i feel like these items are being redeemed because i am wearing them in a way where they look beautiful and not lustful. Is this just wishful thinking on my part, because if the Lord can redeem us can’t the things around us also be redeemed to show its true beauty? I still don’t know how I feel about what it means to be modest especially when no one can agree on what that looks like. I like wearing bermuda shorts but there are people that would say it’s immodest because you can see the shape of my legs. I wish the Church would speak more about this topic especially contextualize Pope Pious XI guidelines on modesty for today’s norms and culture.
The best thing to do is pray for them and set an example for them. A lot of priests avoid certain topics such as modesty because some people find it offensive. But just like scripture says God didn't gave us a coward heart/spirit. Ask the Lord to help you and to see if it's your place to say anything, because priests are the ones that should say.
I don't know but I remember one time this girl in church wore a very short dress like almost underwear length but a hint longer. Anyways the priest refused to give her communion😅

No. Historically and culturally that was normal and would not have been cause for objectification due to it being commonplace. David, on the other hand, lusted after her which was the sin that began the whole escapade. So blaming Bathsheba for bathing on the porch is missing the greater point - David's lust was the sin, not public bathing.
I had an old hermit once tell me (I was wearing jeans and a shirt, but this was a TLM in Poland) re. my dress that women should be covered, had skirt/dress and head covering... I remember being surprised, but we had a great conversation and he asked me for a prayer for him, I did, but I still remember him from time to time in prayers and say a Hail Mary for him. I personally was grateful for him telling me bluntly... but that's how I am, I know there are women that are very sensitive and emotional and get easily offended ... I personally rather someone tell me as I'd want to know and we can have a talk/debate on it.... but that's me (although I think people should tell someone if something isn't appropriate e.g. I'm pretty sure women wouldn't be allowed in a mosque if they weren't dressed well). The best way is to change everyone, most women want to fit in, so if most women are modestly dressed, more want to follow suit as they don't want to feel weird.
One day while I was in high school (many moons ago), a girl came up to me while I was in the lunch room and suggested that I reconsider what I wear to school because of modesty. I thought she was pretty brazen, but at the same time I appreciated where she was coming from.

Im neither Christian nor Muslim but I’m not someone who wants to show a lot of skin, and I find you’re right about Muslim girls having steeper modesty standards. I usually follow them for inspo for that reason- esp if you follow Muslim women from hotter climates, you’ll be able to find a great selection of warm-weather covering pieces.

It depends on your heart, your impulses, your reaction and decisions. Some of us have the peace of our Lord to overcome many things. The body was created by our Lord and original sin perverted them and our view on it. But Jesus Christ can heal our hearts.

How can a guy deal with lust at the gym? Speaking as a teen at college going to the gym on a daily basis.
