The Rotenflue is a mountain in the Swiss Prealps, located east of Schwyz in Central Switzerland. It is part of the range surrounding the valley of Alpthal, culminating at the Gross Mythen. The Rotenflue is a popular vantage point over the Lake Lucerne region.
The new and legendary Rotenfluebahn leads from Rickenbach on Rotenflue. The panorama while driving is spectacular: In the background are enthroned the two myths. Panoramic view of the Prealps, Lake Lucerne and Lake Lauerz.
Located directly at the mountain station of Rotenfluebahn, the restaurant Gipfelstubli offers a wonderful view of the Schwyz and Glarus Alps.
