    I don't understand all the hate in the comments. It's his car and he did the work himself so why is it dumb? I get the comments about making molds but it's his show and he did it his way. Not a lot of people can say they built their own CF wide body kit for their car in their garage.

      @@eurokevin Some people just start to hate because they wish they can do it themselves but they can't. They don't even know where to start and in the end as long as you like the results of what you built yourself that is all that matters.

    Some people don't understand why it's better to do it yourself rather than buy ready made parts or pay someone else to do it. It's the sense of accomplishment, the fact that it's one of a kind and that you did it! Plus the skills you learn along the way 👌 great work 👍👍

    • @Horsenb
      @Horsenb 3 месяца назад +1

      Professionals start somewhere. If everyone just bought their parts there would be no one to make them. The ones who say go buy it are consumers, They either have no ability no creativity or they are lazy and they know it so they have to beat down anybody who wants to do it themselves.

    Damn, those are some really cool looking custom fender flares.
    I like the overall look with the oil sealed surface rust and minty green paint.
    Mint, brown and black really go well together. And that custom front bumper, so dope. I like how it has a "fisheye" effect at all times.

    So, let me understand this process:
    Foam on
    Shape foam
    Hard putty filler?
    Sand down
    More putty filler?
    Lay 1st fibre+resin (release compound needed here?)
    Remove from car
    Clean foam residue off the piece
    Paint a primer coat?
    Then finish with another layer of carbon fibre over that?
    Finishing
    Mounting
    What else I'm missing from these steps?
    Thank you in advance

    • @morpheon_xyz
      @morpheon_xyz Год назад +1

      Gonna agree. I don't mind keeping stuff original, but if you don't plan on selling, why stay boring and with the whole "mold" society wants you to be in? I got a 2005 MK1 Velociti, one of the first ones that came out without the round shape in the taillights, and boy ain't she good. Still original at the moment, but I'm planning on making her look good and give her some customized options too, and instead of spending money on buying a new expensive stock car, I can use that money to make her my own, which could even be better and beat the living daylights out of an original stock car. That's my preference, but to each their own I guess. I dunno bout you, but "stock fanatics" are just boring people who's working their arses off just to pay off debt for a "faster new model" instead of sticking with what they have and making it better. I dunno, I'd get my hands dirty on a project instead of wearing a suit to pay off debt 🤷‍♂️

    Nice I love them but if you would of just taken one more step you could of used them as plugs and made multiple kits, I thought that's what you were doing because that the route you took once you pulled them off and cleaned them up you just needed to stiffen the mold up and then seal it and you could of laid the carbon inside of the plug not on top and you would of kept those nice lines you created. Hey anyways it doesn't matter what you created is very nice I was just surprised because that's the way I thought you were going either way you did great and the panels came out amazing I am sure others will want to do the same as it looks so nice keep it up bro!
