Hannah Barnes Well, arent you the little hypocrite! Do you realize that your first comment could have been answered with the exact same mean comment you just gave to someone?
Hannah Barnes it sounded like a rude comment to me. How did you intend it to sound --- " I didn't ask" was what you wrote when some kid was simply chiming in. Oh my gosh , that's so great! I loved my cat Hanna that looked almost exactly like yours. Mine had a bit of a mustache on her though that I liked but mostly I just loved her because after all she had been through in life she still showed me love and kindness. I rescued her from the shelter about 7 years ago and gave her about the best life any cat could have. Thanks so much for the kindness yours gets too.
I guess it was meant for us to meet like this as I have something that will make you feel a bit better I hope. I struggled for so long about why they live such a short time and then it came to me and was so terribly clear. God made them live a short life to point out to all human beings that our turn will come soon as well, and get our lives in order while we still have time. I gave Hanna a wonderful, great life, and she taught me tons about being a better human being. Because of her...I now have two more and I take care of 6 feral cats that I feed up to three times a day....every day without ever missing. I care for them like they're royalty just like I try to do for people as well. I only hope they get the rewards they deserve and up in heaven because to be honest....I think they deserve it more than we do but....I hope to see Hanna and one day maybe we'll meet there too......(I hope many many years in the future.) I'm sorry about your loss, but there is much good that can come out of it too and I know Muff will be happy seeing you again one day.
As elementary school band goes, this is not bad at all. There are always a few kids with natural talent or the advantages of already having a few years of private lessons. It's kind of rude to compare them to the majority of children who just started that year.
Hey Denny! This is Eeyore and, of course, an awesome cat as well! But not as cool as those green eyes Hanna had. I always hope I'll see my pups and cats after I die. Man, that would be excellent. Even if I don't see them, they'll always be in my memory. :)
It's definitely the song Wipeout, just played way too slowly, the rhythm and tempo is all off. This guy was supposed to be a music teacher and can't read sheet music.
@@jeffburnham6611 Nah, you know that's typical for an elementary school band arrangement to slow things down. That's probably considered "fast" compared to most stuff they get to play and likely the most challenging piece in their repertoire.
Look at her face at 1:50. The count is "One, two, three, four, GO." She's wondering what he did with the down beat. What a sweetie. I would have been rolling my eyes at that age. She'll go far in this world.
she kept it together with a flailing concert band.I can tell she was ready to bust loose and kill it but the rest of the band just faded on their job.still..she held it together.thats called being a pro
shes good but orchestra a nightmare! Thought it was a pisstake and it would all stop and theyd started being in tune and she'd start drumming really fast :)
i think i was on the sax or bass (not guitar). i tried a few instruments and didn't like it at all. i've played guitar for many years but never serious about it. i still suck somewhat.
Phaedra Backer - Marbles for keeps. What can I say? It was mid 1960's. 4 channels, no computer, no video, no cable, the boob tube was all tubes - not solid state and black & white. The era where kids were outside from morning to night, playing & getting dirty.
Phaedra Backer .... Mmm good point. Made me laugh but then I couldn't afford instruments anyway. Was more into gymnastics and dance and drama. But I get your point.
Phaedra. Couldn't agree more. Having played lower Brass in Elementary School, 3rd grade up to 12th grade (Slide and Valve Trombone, Baritone, Tuba and Sousaphone and 1st Chair from 9th grade on) being taught by Mom (she played Trombone) and having taught my own son's (Trombone and Trumpet for oldest, Tenor Sax and clarinet for the younger), I can say with some authority that most elementary school bands are the worst of the lot. But having said that, these kids did a commendable job with an Grade 3 IDiOT for a TEACHER. Elementary Band is for learning the basics of the instrument, and trying to make sounds without squeeks, squaks, or making the instruments not sound like 300 elephants farting a very loose diet! Not playing Gershwin, Bach, Dave Brubeck, or any of an enormous base of talent that wrote and played professionally. But easy stuff that doesn't tax the capabilites of the students. A Planned concert with a piece that WASN'T practiced? What kind of MORON does this and expects the kids to sound even 1/2way presentable. The tempo at 1/2 speed is unconsionable, and the key was wrong. The Girl drumming should have been allowed to do what millions of kids did back in the 60's. Play it solo and at the right speed. I was bussed to a Catholic School in 1964 when this came out and we would have contests on the bus to see who was best. Beat on the top of the metal bar on the seatbacks with bare hands, and some of us would go so far as to play it on our desks in class, much to the displeasure of the Nun's. As for the rest of you goofballs. If you played and have kids in bands you can criticize, as you know the problem, otherwise keep your CHEAP SHOTS to yourself. The Girl was embarrassed enough by a classic Grade 3 IDIOT who couldn't get enough of listening to herself that probably had a TIN-EAR, andprobably couldn't carry a tune with a briefcase. Here's a Description of IDIOT GRADES (or Levels.) [An idiot, dolt, or dullard is a mentally deficient person, or someone who acts in a self-defeating or significantly counterproductive way.] (Wiki) Standard Idiot. The standard idiot is to the human race what pigeons are to city streets. Irritating whilst simply being themselves and individually harmless whilst large concentrations can prove deleterious to health - mental health, that is. An endearing characteristic of the standard idiot is that once the outward manifestations of idiocy are pointed out, and this may require some patience and the boiling-down of simple concepts, the standard idiot will usually grin in understanding then endeavour to improve themselves. The fact that they were born an idiot generally precludes spectacular progress but the process has a faintly charming quality nonetheless. Danger level - minimal. Type I Idiot. The Type I is as above in many ways but lacking the kindly nature and slightly guilty manner when confronted with evidence of its own idiocy. The Type I is usually either obnoxious or overly friendly, the latter requiring most caution as those unskilled in spotting the more exotic idiot forms may realise somewhat later than is comfortable to tell the offender where to go. Occasionally a vestigial form of learning ability still exists in the Type I and, with extreme stimulation, a punch in the face, perhaps, or telling the offender precisely what you think in good strong language, this recessive attribute may briefly spring to life and exact beneficial change on the individual concerned. Danger level - low to moderate. Type II Idiot. The first of the dangerous varieties, Type IIs are predominantly masters of the over-friendly method because all doorways to the human world would otherwise be closed without this vital coping tool. Mild pity may be taken on examples that combine stupidity with idiocy though these are rare - the majority of type IIs are reasonably intelligent but lack the closed loop linking self-observation to the learning and behavioural-modification centres of the brain. This cerebral short-circuiting is best observed in the Type IIs frequent and expeditious flight into a huff condition when faced with the conflict between idiotic self-recognition and the absence of an innate mechanism for rapid behavioural modification. Patients exhibiting these symptoms are at serious risk of spiralling into the Type III regime of heaping spectacularly stupid acts one upon the next in an orgy of self-defeat. Another seldom-encountered evolution of the Type II is the intelligent / obnoxious variety where the cumbersome matter of outward friendliness is dispensed with in place of learning, researching and accumulating vast tracts of knowledge with which to impress and regale other idiot types and weaker subjects. It should be noted that all Type IIs are dangerous due to a typical inability to modify their stance regardless of how utterly defeated, outgunned or proven wrong they may be. Extended periods of mental hibernation awaiting the trigger that will start them off all over again is typical and may give others some respite but the Type II has a single redeeming feature elevating it above the Type III, this being its modicum of low cunning and on rare occasions the Type II may see a vision - a vision of themselves as others see them - and, although unable to publicly acknowledge this epiphany, they will usually drop from sight at this point never to be seen or heard from again. Danger Level - moderate to high. Type III Idiot. The Type III is to the human race what syphilis is to sex, it represents the highest functioning idiot life-form formally classified by social science. There’s good reason why words do not exist in the English language (nor probably any other) to fill the disbelieving silences left in the wake of Type III activity. Type IIIs are the true masters of the over-friendly technique and with a penchant for overdone pleasantries they make smarming headway through the social orbit of their victims with a desperate need to please and a love of mummy that would make Oedipus blush. True Type IIIs are serial losers with little to show for their stay on the planet, their calling requiring the sacrifice, faith and lifetime dedication of a monk. Career-wise, they find themselves endlessly returned to square-one due to an inabilty to work with anyone, finally achieving middle-aged stagnation when claimed either by premature redundancy or a weak-willed and last-ditch attempt to work for themselves. But what really sets the Type III apart from other idiot species is their staggering determination to heap one fantastically stupid act on top of the next leaving observers intrigued and dumbstruck in equal measure. The Type III doesn’t rest for a moment - forging relationships that live and die like summer moths it slithers through society like diarrhoea, afflicting many but making no friends in a transitory universe utterly beyond its grasp where only family and other idiot types can tolerate long-term association. Like cancer, two discreet forms exists. The benign form is often found in bureaucratic circles making preposterous rules that no one can understand whilst the malignant form grows as an ugly, unwanted tumour within a social group spawning poisonous platitudes that, due to an inability to learn, alter little with the passage of time.
@@Geoff790 After the band ran out of notes, there was a LOT of "Wipeout" left ... they should have let her pick up the tempo and PLAY THE DAMNED MUSIC. This little chick is certainly paying her dues.
she did really well. Just the fact that she played that solo and did not speed up was very impressive. natural tendency would be to speed up because the song was such a slow pace.
Just for u all that dont know PLAYING DRUMS IS VERY VERY HARD. THE ENTIRE BAND OR ORCHESTRA DEPENDS ON THE DRUMS. and if the drummer phucks up it all goes to hell. We are not just pounding on the drums. like saying something 3 times fast. its that hard!
I did this in 4th grade also. Wow she has 6.7 million views too. I'm 43 years old now. Gotta love youtube. I hope she keeps playing & nobody steals her dreams. She has the talent already to move on. The sky is the limit & I hope she keeps reaching!!!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
How old are the people commenting here ? The drummer is a 4th grader and the band is made up of 6th graders. THEY ARE JUST LEARNING, and I believe the director said they had very little or no rehearsals. THEY DID VERY WELL. BTW. The recording wasn't done professionally either . . .
If you listened to what he'd said then you'd know that they practiced with the 6th graders, but they're only 4th graders themselves. I agree with what you said about the orchestra, this was entirely the conductors fault. Didn't give them practice time but still made them play it whilst also giving them the worst count-in of human history. Truly pathetic and from what we've seen he doesn't deserve a place teaching music; however sadly he appears to be all these kids have...
Exactly !!! THEY ARE JUST LEARNING ! In 4th grade they are just learning how to play their instruments let alone play together as a band ! Go to a school and listen to a 4th grade band practice. Try being the teacher of these students just learning these instruments !! Then see how great your skills are making them sound better !! Rant over !!
Kris Thomas The band is 6th graders, they practice. The drummer is a 4th grader chosen for this performance. According to the description she practiced a little with SOME of the orchestra. Hopefully the ones that were playing.
Awesome! I remember going to concerts when my daughter started playing her clarinet. EVERY performance was ART in my heart 😊❤️oh how i miss those days, her clarinet is still locked in its case in bedroom closet. Shes 31 now. Lol. Im proud of these kids. And the parents and especially the music teachers. 😊🥁🎼🎹🎷🎻🎺🎸
She should fire her whole band, they were sooo Ssslllooooowwww and out of sinc. She shold have done a solo:I know she was only 4th grade and all but her performance was poor, she needs a great deal of practice!
The look on her face, poor thing...but it was said that they had not rehearsed..gotta hand it to her, she played on even if the others were alittle lost and out of tune.
Having to sit through years of band and strings you find there are some truly talented individuals in this world. This girl my dear is one of them! Cheers Terry
Bless her. She is so nervous. I remember when I had to play in front of my high school when the band Blaze hired me on a Wednesday and we played my homecoming dance the following Saturday nightwhen I was a junior in high school. I was scared to death the first 2 songs but I was better at playing guitar than I was a dancer so it turned out great. She needs to play a set to get over the stag freight and she will have a great time. She was very brave for doing this. I had an awesome band to blend in with and she was in the spot light. Kudos to the little angel!
Who was the brain-dead moron who thought brass was a suitable accompimant to Wipeout. She's good, the band was nothing but bloody painful! Give her time and practice, she'll be great.
Ronnie Baker ** i did not see stage fright. What i saw was "" lets get this going"" Also its very odd to start out with out the drums first because its the drums that set the pace. DRUMMERS ARE NOT FOLLOWERS...THEY ARE LEADERS! she was put in a stupid position by fools that did not know what they were doing.
People, Junior High bands actually sound like this. But here's a tip: CLICK THE TOOL SYMBOL on your player and increase the playback speed to 1.25. The drums will play at the right speed, and the band wont sound as bad. ;) You're welcome.
Lainey Lou our middle school orchestra and band only had 1-2 years of experience but we’re extremely good and play high school level music IN TUNE (I know this cause we have gotten perfect or near perfect scores in concerts)
To preclude all of the speaker's stage-struck waffle, the girl starts playing at 1.50, okay? Strewth, I can't be doing with long, drawn-out, boring introductions! The so-called orchestra are atrocious but the girl has potential.

I hope she sees this video and updates us on what she's doing now. I sure hope she's still playing the drums!
Once she began drumming it helped the orchestra to keep a better beat. This was just great. I smiled through the entire performance.
They shouldve just let her play the drums.
Very cute little girl..sadly the band is not playing"Wipeout ", sounds more like the Batman theme from the 60's t.v. show..
It does sound like Batman...oh my. Lol
It's definitely the song Wipeout, just played way too slowly, the rhythm and tempo is all off. This guy was supposed to be a music teacher and can't read sheet music.
You can actually sing Batman over Wipeout.
@@jeffburnham6611 Nah, you know that's typical for an elementary school band arrangement to slow things down. That's probably considered "fast" compared to most stuff they get to play and likely the most challenging piece in their repertoire.
@@blebhan8213 LOL OMG you're right.
She looks so uncomfortable
Looks very scared. But deserves applause!!
I would be uncomfortable too if I was the only one playing right. The tempo is way too slow.
The 'band' at 9 or 10 years old you nute..... they are young and just started learning.
Wouldn't you if you had to play with such a horrible band, out of tune and tempo way off. She should have been better off playing solo.
The drum kit is too small for her size and wasn’t even set up to at least compensate for reach. Any drummer would be uncomfortable playing that.
Fkin terrible band drowned her out..very poor who ever organized it. Band to loud..she was he star. IMO
Next time let's just have the drum solo.
Look at her face at 1:50. The count is "One, two, three, four, GO." She's wondering what he did with the down beat. What a sweetie. I would have been rolling my eyes at that age. She'll go far in this world.
Rob Bourassa I think you have to be more aggressive when playing this song on the drums it would sound A LOT better
You are right but It's hard to be aggressive when you're having to play the song at half the tempo to accommodate the orchestra. She'll do fine.
Rob Bourassa d
Rob Bourassa i
Dennis weaver
she kept it together with a flailing concert band.I can tell she was ready to bust loose and kill it but the rest of the band just faded on their job.still..she held it together.thats called being a pro
shes good but orchestra a nightmare! Thought it was a pisstake and it would all stop and theyd started being in tune and she'd start drumming really fast :)
wakinunu she can follow her dreams and everything she need to use rudiments no hate though
O
Better than Lars Ulrich
Keep her, and get get of that shitty band I agree!
Just awful band. She must have been embarrassed.
She did great, but even she knew how god awful the rest of the the orchestra was. I'm actually blown away by how bad they were
This precious young lady is a prodigy. Don't ever stop playing!! You're a STAR🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💞🤗💞
Good considering the band's age group. What were you playing in 4th grade besides yourself?😎
i think i was on the sax or bass (not guitar). i tried a few instruments and didn't like it at all. i've played guitar for many years but never serious about it. i still suck somewhat.
XDDDD
Here's a Description of IDIOT GRADES (or Levels.)
[An idiot, dolt, or dullard is a mentally deficient person, or someone who acts in a self-defeating or significantly counterproductive way.] (Wiki)
Standard Idiot.
She needs to hold auditions for a new band.
I bet as she gets older, she will evolve into one heck of a drummer. Good for you, I love your drumming :)
I went to kindergarten in that school and grew up in that town. My parents lived one block from that school for 50 plus years. Kudos to her!
too slow. I think the drums would be even harder to play in that scenario so major kudos to her.
A+ , she did great! Performing in front of people is hard and I applaud her. Great job!!
couldnt wait for the teacher to shut up
the teacher killed this video. he wanted to take credit for the girl's talent.
Nor could I
Editing software?
What's that?
Same I was like stfu and let the kids play lol.

I believe the presenter did not need to mention that the “band” had not practiced this song previously.
I feel like the band and the tempo were holding this poor girl back. She's capable of more, and her eyes just looked like she wanted to go faster.
Rick D
Because she..... And we know WIPEOUT!
That tempo was slow as frick
@@Geoff790 After the band ran out of notes, there was a LOT of "Wipeout" left ... they should have let her pick up the tempo and PLAY THE DAMNED MUSIC. This little chick is certainly paying her dues.
Aww, good for her ! She did very well under difficult circumstances...
"1, 2, 3, 4, GO !!" ???
Well done, young lady !
Its quite ambiguous count from the lead.
Difficult is putting it mildly!!!
she did really well. Just the fact that she played that solo and did not speed up was very impressive. natural tendency would be to speed up because the song was such a slow pace.
She didnt know everyone was applauding for her! I hope someone told her.
The girl drumming is fantastic. Love this video.
the girl is fine but the band???????
But the band ......needed help.
The band suck. What a simian music the played...garbage! The pretty girl has talent.
Maybe the band was 3rd graders.
Well that “band” is orchestra so maybe you guys should do some more research :)
Is this a video about a guy that can’t shut up or a drummer?
Classic🤣🤣
All school band directors are like this!
she's the only musician in the room, should have refused to play with those pud lackers..she'll live and learn..
Probably the worst orchestra I've ever heard but I loved every minute of it
Just for u all that dont know
PLAYING DRUMS IS VERY VERY HARD.
THE ENTIRE BAND OR ORCHESTRA DEPENDS ON THE DRUMS. and if the drummer phucks up it all goes to hell.
We are not just pounding on the drums. like saying something 3 times fast. its that hard!
This young lady has talent potential for being as young as she is.
poor thing looks terrified... does a decent job with the song...
Girl comes ready to rip it up on the drums, hears the rest of the orchestra..
"My god...."
Yeah and with that long winded introduction, her solo was all that kept me awake. She did good though😎
That was not what I thought it would be. It was worse than clickbait
I did this in 4th grade also. Wow she has 6.7 million views too. I'm 43 years old now. Gotta love youtube. I hope she keeps playing & nobody steals her dreams. She has the talent already to move on. The sky is the limit & I hope she keeps reaching!!!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
how about starting the video at 1:40. Nothing before that necessary. Talented young lady😊
How old are the people commenting here ? The drummer is a 4th grader and the band is made up of 6th graders. THEY ARE JUST LEARNING, and I believe the director said they had very little or no rehearsals. THEY DID VERY WELL. BTW. The recording wasn't done professionally either . . .
Terry Russel It’s hard to believe that the Orchestra/Band are 6th graders. The 6th graders can’t sound that bad! They sound like 4th graders to me.
Kris Thomas
The band is 6th graders, they practice. The drummer is a 4th grader chosen for this performance. According to the description she practiced a little with SOME of the orchestra. Hopefully the ones that were playing.
Terry Russel , exactly my thoughts. Thank you for saying that which needed to be said.
Hope they finished school cause music was or never will be they're strong point bunch racket..
Why do music directors always talk so dang much during these performances.....it's like commercials after every performance.
Should have edited him out.
They like to hear themselves talk and virue-signal at the same time.
Way too slow you could tell by the look on her face
She should fire her whole band, they were sooo Ssslllooooowwww and out of sinc. She shold have done a solo:I know she was only 4th grade and all but her performance was poor, she needs a great deal of practice!
The look on her face, poor thing...but it was said that they had not rehearsed..gotta hand it to her, she played on even if the others were alittle lost and out of tune.
She looks so disappointed
Alex the lion prolly cause she’s playing in that band lmao
Having to sit through years of band and strings you find there are some truly talented individuals in this world. This girl my dear is one of them!
Cheers
Terry
What i saw was
"" lets get this going""
Also its very odd to start out with out the drums first because its the drums that set the pace. DRUMMERS ARE NOT FOLLOWERS...THEY ARE LEADERS! she was put in a stupid position by fools that did not know what they were doing.
They're in 4th grade. I'm sure all of you were excellent musicians at 10. lol
😂She’s the only one who can play anything there.
I play guitar thank u very much
If the band is also 4th graders, then they did pretty good!
When I was in fourth grade I couldn’t get my underwear on in a timely fashion
People, Junior High bands actually sound like this. But here's a tip: CLICK THE TOOL SYMBOL on your player and increase the playback speed to 1.25. The drums will play at the right speed, and the band wont sound as bad. ;) You're welcome.
much better at 1.25..thanks1
I thought she was excellent, A very precious young lady.
This was an elementary school band. Most kids likely only had 1-2 years experience. Don't be hatin'.
Lainey Lou our middle school orchestra and band only had 1-2 years of experience but we’re extremely good and play high school level music IN TUNE (I know this cause we have gotten perfect or near perfect scores in concerts)
That may be but maybe you had a better conductor than they had. I just think it's sad that people are being so mean to these 9-10 year old kids.
Brave girl. More talent than the entire orchestra put together, too.
I gotta say I love the teacher's saying - We're going to go out on a limb because that's where the fruit is. Good on him.
2:57 wtf is that orchestra..... holy shit they were awful(girl was good tho)
Rob Con kids trying are making the effort.
It was an elementary school band. Cut 'em some slack. Most probably only had 1-2 years experience.
The american school system
Lainey Lou one or two months is more what I’d guess. 4th-6th graders? Gotta love ‘em for giving it their best while probably nervous as hell.
They are kids in the 6th grade LEARNING. Give them a break and don't call them awful. How rude.
Ouch. Rehearsals are good things.

Notice how well her rolls on the Tom's were soon as them other clowns stopped. You could instantly see her relax. Good job!
To preclude all of the speaker's stage-struck waffle, the girl starts playing at 1.50, okay? Strewth, I can't be doing with long, drawn-out, boring introductions! The so-called orchestra are atrocious but the girl has potential.
This is what a tooth ache sounds like.
LMAO, dude!
earache in my eye rocks.
I laughed way too hard at this comment!
This is better than what I can do
Thumbs up for her 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
she was the best of them all and for a timid little girl she was dam good
