Will a blepharoplasty get rid of my hollow eyes?

- Hollow eyes are common and can occur due to genetics or due to the aging process. In this informative video, Dr. Anurag Agarwal discusses the use of fat injections (fat transfer) as well as injectable dermal fillers to treat hollowing of the eyelid region. Volumizing this area gives a rejuvenated appearance.

Fillers are only for 12-18 months. It's not a good option.
Doesn’t fat transfer around the eyes get lumpy since the skin is so thin?
It is always a risk as the skin in this area is unforgiving, but fortunately an uncommon complication. Some ways to reduce the risk include injecting very small quantities, keep the injecting cannula rapidly moving to avoid depositing too much fat in one area, and making sure the harvested fat particles are not too large.
How much does it cost and where are you located please?
Under my right eye, it looks like it's completely sunken in.. I saw something similar called silent sinus syndrome..
Hello doc,I am 24 i have severe under eye line ,sunken eye and dull looking eyes .I don't think anybody in my family has this severe sunken eyes .Is there any permanent surgical way to treat this
Lower blepharoplasty can help it says it's permanent and can get rid of sunken eyes. You could do both top and bottom or just one of those.
@@karla9260 hey i think bepheloplasty is for puffy eyes and fat grafting for Hollow eyes
Can you use PRP to fill the hollows instead of medical grade fillers?
I don't have experience injecting PRP but I don't believe the filling effect would be significant for hollows. It may help lighten the skin color slightly.
Be careful getting PRP/PRF under your eyes as a WOC. It can cause bruising/skin darkening. It made my undereyes sooo much darker than they originally were.
What is the safest technique? Thnks
For hollowness without excess fat, some type of volume augmentation is generally used. Injectable options like in-office dermal filler or surgical fat transfer carry some inherent risk to vision. I have never seen that happen, but it is a well described risk in the literature and there have been numerous case reports. There are techniques to minimize the risk, such as using blunt tipped injection cannulas, using a rapid back and forth motion, injecting small amounts of product/fat at a time, etc... However none of this is risk-free. Although I have no experience in placing infraorbital rim implants, they do not have the risk of blindness. They are permanent but as with any procedure, they have other potential problems, like visibility over time, etc...
I'm 28 and got hollow eyes after rhinoplasty. I'm 2 months post op and worried if my eyes will become the same on their own.
This is an unusual thing to see after rhinoplasty. I would discuss with your rhinoplasty surgeon, who can examine you and give you proper guidance,
In injecting the fat tho, would that be permanent? Or will that act similarly to a filler?
Supposedly it's permanent
@@PhilipClyde I see… the worry now would be if the fat is able to survive
@@adenielle2331 Yeah I think that in most cases it does, and doesn't dissolve like filler does. Might lose a little bit as you age, but shouldn't be too much
@@PhilipClyde fair enough
I've found that fat transfer to this area lasts about 3 years on average, but does dissipate over time. I generally recommend planning on having either additional fat injected or dermal filler injected after about 3 years. But some people get longer out of it.
Cheek lift ?
If the cheek has descended with age and exposed the lower orbital rim, then a cheek lift may help
No... I answered that question before he even started because I just had blepthoplasty and it did help with hollowness
Did it really help?? I've been thinking about blepharoplasty too, but most people on the internet are suggesting this for puffy eyes and eye bags rather than hallow eyes. Injections require maintainece and recurring cost so I was thinking of a more permanent solution like surgery. Please suggest.
@@pranayaveer6921 I didn't have hollowness but a droopy lid
