Nice. I remember winning like 600 bucks once when I was about to lose my 100 I put in. I think I was like 1 or 2 failed pulls away. I was like yah that was lucky and was done. Rarely play slots anyway.
I came here to see if that’s true. Hopefully this video shows at least some decent chance if it’s worth at least a few cracks Edit: this seems like it’s just a scam, definitely not worth the low odds
Lol nobody even watched the video, they see the title and comment immediately. For instance @ 4:47 he says "There is NO winning slot machine system". Yet everyone's saying this video is bull. Its informative, chill out folks. Also, its completely right, there is no such thing as a strategy for playing slots (Other than trying to lose less and playing slower). Every spin is its own event and has no effect on future outcomes. If you poured 900 bucks into a slot then the next person sits at that slot machine hits a jackpot, guess what, it wasn't yours. I can go on forever about RNG and advantages and all that but this guys got it covered. Great video by the way!
Not going to win? No shit. Here’s a tip or two. Set a realistic budget. Walk away when you loose. Enjoy the time. Once in awhile you will win a bit. It can be kinda fun if you can keep your wits and realize it’s basically entertainment.
I'm a casino tech for about 10 casinos. He nailed it, they're computers designed to pay out less than they collect in the long run. That doesn't mean that you can't hit it once and make a huge profit. It means that the longer you stay there, the more you conform to the ~90% payout rate. The entire goal of the casino is to keep you playing, and take ~10% of your money. They'll even give you free drinks, just keep playing that machine.
Same here, I was a croupier and I can affirm what you say. You can´t win if you keep playing and yes, the longer you play, the more you loose. The payout rate is closer to 80% in europe.
I decided to go to the gambling boat January 1st of 2005, I stuck a 20in and on the seventh hit I won $5,400 is the attendant come paid me and I walked right off the boat I didn't even give them a dollar back, I was smiling all the way home, if you win big it takes will power to leave and I had the willpower.
As a designer of many gaming approved slot machines, I can tell you that there are things you didn’t mention. Some machines do not use an RNG for stopping. Scientific Games (formerly WMS) got sued by IGT for violating the Telnaes Patent which uses an RNG on a “virtual reel”. Instead, WMS used an RNG to determine the pay and stops the reels according to the desired payout. The concept of a “virtual reel” or “virtual paytable” makes any “near miss” deceptive. In the case of a mechanical slot game, the physical reel is 22 or 25 stops, but the virtual reel can be as high as 500 stops per reel. This makes the Megabucks jackpot possible. It’s the deceptive electronic equivalent of the mechanical slot days when casinos filed extra notches in the reel drum cam to reduce the chances of stopping on a symbol.
I've won pretty consistently on slots because I play for a few hands, if I get nothing, I move on. When I win a nice amount, I cash out and move on to the next machine. The trick is to play the highest odds and cash out if you win something decent. Thinking you'll win the big pot is a suckers game and will cause you to lose whatever you have won. I've won a little here and a little there and at the end of the day it amounts to a nice amount. It's all random, so luck is the key factor, but if you keep going after a big win, you'll probably end up losing it all. Just saying…
I know for a FACT that casinos DO tighten up machines that pay out too much. There was a machine at Auga Caliente in Palm Springs that paid out consistently for several months. Then suddenly...it stopped paying out period. The casino tightened up the machine to hardly ever pay out, where as at first...for a time..it was paying out on a regular basis.
FACT: In all the visits I made to Vegas, I noticed one peculiar thing: I always won more money playing slots, when I was playing just for the fun of it! When I played with the intention of "making big bucks," I never won a dime.
One of the most informative, if not the most informative video on slot machines that has answered and/or confirmed what I had known or didn't know before. Thank you!
MY UNCLE WORKS AT A CASINO HERE IN MAINE AND THE WAY THE MACHINES ARE SET UP TO PAY OUT IS WHEN A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF MONEY HAS GONE INTO IT BETWEEN $1500-$2000 THEN ITS SET TO START PAYING OUT WHICH IS CALLED A LOOSE MACHINE AT THAT MOMENT SO IF YOU SEE SOMEONE THAT IS WINNING AND THEY GET UP FROM THAT SPOT GET UP AND TAKE OVER AND MAX BET FOR A FEW MINUTES AND YOU WILL SEE THAT THIS THEORY IS TRUE!!! HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE!!
That’s completely wrong and typing in all caps doesn’t further your point. Games that give prizes to kids can be set up that way but slot machines are not.
Excellent video. I guess the only ones who can verify or refute your research are the programmers who work at the machine manufacturers. Your research seems plausible. Thanks for presenting the official narrative.
Awesome video and very knowledgeable. I am about to travel to Singapore and expect to visit the casino since it is not available in my country. Now I know that it is a machine that guaranteed to make you lose, I'll probably going to use it for foods and souvenirs somewhere else.
The sure bet to win is to not play slots in the first place. Casinos are a for profit business not a charity. Anything you win is an investment by the casino to reinforce addictive behavior (impulsive behavior) such as prioritizing the immediate payoff instead of worrying if you have enough money to pay your bills because that dopamine hit is powerful.
That's why first and foremost people must consider this an entertainment and not a stream of income. Some people just test their luck, and it pays off, but most people will lose. Of curse you have people coming in with huge bankrolls and playing low denom machines like quarter machines, i.e. $5k-$10k bankroll, so they are putting the machine through far more spin trials than someone playing a few rounds. That won't change odds, but technically you are using more trials. Imagine if you had a bag with mostly red balls and some white ones, and you were to pick ONCE. Imagine you were asked to pick 1000 times, odds are eventually you might pick the white ones. But do most people have large bankrolls, nope, and even with a large bankroll there is no guarantee, and you are likely to lose it all, as you keep playing anyway. So your best bet is NOT to play machines, SAVE your money instead and build a nest egg, even with market conditions, in the long run you will profit.....With a slot machine you WILL lose, and your odds of being LUCKY and hitting that big jackpot are slim - Even if you do, calculate all that you have gambled before, how many can say that they are in profit ? Thank about it.....Statistically majority of players are at a loss. So all those bogus youtubers who shill casinos, and flash their jackpots, are they telling you how much they spent TOTAL all sessions combined ? Not really, they list tell you how much they spent in their CURRENT session!!! If you are going for fun times and testing your luck that's fine, you might hit big and go out in profit, BUT it's when it turns into an addiction and people use machines as a stream of income that things become problematic.... If you go to casinos you will see some frequent players, the same ones, you see them day and night spending money like they do not know what to do with it, probably spending their 401k and all life savings down the fucking machines.
I have really paid close attention to the slot machines, or pokie machines we call them here in Australia, it always seems that when you happen to get lucky on these machines and win a large amount of money , it seems as though if you played on the chances of winning anymore is very slim. This is why if I make a profit from what cash I use in a particular machine, I then collect my winnings and move away , I do believe that if the machine does win you a reasonable amount of money then it won't furthermore continue to keep winning on the same machine. It almost seems that the machine has a payout for a winner that there may well be some type of electronic device mechanism that acts like some kind of sensor that it locks up for sometime a while that perhaps won't allow the machine to keep the machine on any continued winning momentum role that it was on before any winnings , therefore it sucks people into continue to persist with the particular machine and retrieve the money back into the machine so it's not at a loss. It is something I have always noticed when in the past played on after a good win and also watched many win up to almost 7 or $800 and by the time they could have left 800 profited , they play on until they have lost the entire amount they 1st initially had won. I'm probably wrong but I see it so many times
so true, I actually won tonight and tbh i win quite often, 2 majors within 10 minutes, 2 different machines.. I usually don't spend more than $30 in any machine, if it doesn't give me a feature i move onto the next, usually i wont play anything when the major is below $580 (means it payed out) I also never bet higher than $1.50 lines. Tonight I went in with $40 and alked out with $1.7k. I also set a budget, very strict and dont spend more than $80 in one night and only go once per month at the most. I have stuck by this rule for 15 years and never really lost more than $50. Some people just sit there feeding the machine money thinking that the more the put in the more it will pay out but thats not how it works. Another good trick is to watch someone sit down, if they dont get a feature and walk away, ill sit down and usually get the feature shortly after, saves me from putting my own money in to try get the feature first.
As somebody who is learning to work in the pokie area of a pub here in Aus, it is clear to me from the insanely tough fines and legislation that no such thing occurs. The chips are all locked away behind tamper proof seals. These are checked by auditors from olgr. Huge fines if anything isn’t up to code. It wouldn’t be worth it for a venue to play around with these chips. If there was a kind of conspiracy it’s government level and I don’t see the incentive for a government to increase the profits of a pub at the detriment of gamblers. Hope that helps!
Have been fascinated by them since I was allowed in Casinos. The old-fashioned ones in Harrah's in Reno went thru unmistakable "cycles": you knew when they'd pay out (usually only 50 bucks, but hey, money was worth more then)
You can't go into a casino and expect to win millions of dollars. It's tough enough to win $5.00. Set your limit, and plan to leave when you've lost half of that and try to get a free drink. Enjoy yourself, have a good time with friends. Watch a game on the surrounding tv's and get a bite to eat or see a show. It's that simple!
the long term payout is 85 to 95% the long term payout of putting your money in your sock drawer is 100% whenever you are tempted to goto a casino, take the money you planned to spend and put it in an envelope and forget about it. In the long run you will have beaten the odds at the casino, you would have been payed back 100% every time - you CANT LOSE At the end of the year, take the envelope out and say JACKPOT! look at all the money I WON! Then go buy yourself something nice
@@gaboguason1 this is 5 years ago he probably doesn't work there and he means he works there by getting a paycheck that's how it gets the money 😆😆🤦♂️🤡💩
@@trevortat I consider the casino not winning my money winning. It's the act of resisting the temptation to play that manifests the battlefield in which you win over the casino.
I noticed a lot of machines the newer ones and higher betting ones glitch often or even seem to re trigger a extra sec of turning n totally pass a win. Where as before the spin would have won if it stayed the same as past spins. I’m not talking about bonus ones or just bonus ones, I know some slow down or speed up to get the player excited or something. I’m talking about it must get hacked or something can control if u win or lose which is happening all the time lately.
I used to date a casino floor cashier. She told me employees are not allowed to gamble at the casinos they work at because they become aware of the "hot" machines which were always being moved around to different locations within the casino, so she would get together with other employees from neighboring casinos and they would share the location of the hot machines with each other. On her days off she would go to one of those hot machines she was tipped off about and she would fearlessly pump up to $2000 into the machine knowing confidently that the machine was set to pay her $6000. She was bringing home an extra $3000 to $5000 every week!!! As long as they were smart and didn't get greedy the casinos were none the wiser.
NO NO NO! The true story that u are not allowed to visit the casino you are working is because if u win BY LUCK customers will say that u won because you working here. and Ofcourse if u lose they wont say anything. Thats the only reason.
Please don't listen to this person. If you feel the urge to gamble just go to your toilet flush all your money and look in the mirror. This is how you will feel after returning from the Casino.
Not sure it's a good idea to flush your money down the toilet! We'd rather have some fun with it in the casino. We only gamble with our "entertainment" money. We play the games offering us the best odds and we know the best strategies for playing them, plus we take advantage of some of the benefits offered to us by the casino, such as free rooms, free food, free shows, etc.
Hi Steve. I am wondering, after watching a lot of your advice videos, if the amount of the bet... High vs Low... improves the chances of winning a jackpot.
that's right...the best way to win is to get the most enjoyment for your money...so even though playing penny slots gives you the least chance of making a profit, if you lose $30 playing penny slots for a few hours, but feel you had $30 worth of fun, then you really didn't lose, you just paid $30 for some fun with a slight chance of making money.
Just remember when you walk into a casino it is a business and like any business its there to make money not give it away. If you are running low on money and you think you can go to the casino to make some extra money the chance are 90 percent against you of doing so. Never go into a casino and play with money you can not afford to lose. I would recommend if you go take you credit cards out and do not take them with you and only take the cash you plan on losing.
I am very, very lucky! I ALWAYS max bet and I NEVER use my slot card!! I'd rather win a jackpot then earn enough credits for a free buffet, any day!! I believe also it's having fun, having a positive energy and not dropping each "coin" with regret. Relax, have fun and your time will come.
@@JaegerMatthias because it's believed that the slot card tracks everything you win, so if you win a lot of money the card tells the next machine to take the money back.
Luck or not, if I’m playing a slot machine, how would you explain why the slot mostly always gives me a few “break even” wins on my last couple of pulls (when money is about to drop to zero) … it’s there to give me back some hope enough to feed another 20 bucks through - happens almost ever time - no random generators going to do that.
It's all random and you just think there is a pattern. Burton G. Malkiel - American Economist, said: “Human nature likes order; people find it hard to accept the notion of randomness. No matter what the laws of chance might tell us, we search for patterns among random events wherever they might occur."
He never answered the "How to win" at slots question! Lucky for anyone that may see this, I got yall! It's..... wait for it..... start your own Casino!!! Yay!!!
Actually, very little has changed since this video was first posted. However, we did make an update to this video, which noted some minor changes since the original was made, and you can see it here - ruclips.net/video/hkhjZ00rsHQ/видео.html
My favorite machine at any Casino is the change machine. I've never won anything but it always give me all my money back no matter how many times I play this machine.
Number on rule, anything that is online or computer based can be programmed to function a certain way. Aka meaning imagine playing cards with dealer that can pick and choose when you win or lose
This guy looks like he has both a full Dungeons & Dragons LARPING level 99 Dark Mage Costume and a hot pink Gimp Suit with assless chaps, and zippered nipple and mouth holes! I don't believe I want any part of any of the types of parties he partakes in.
6:50 The "new" technology he mentions is now very common. Almost all slot machines 'call home' for their payout rates. It makes for easier bookkeeping for the casinos along with more control. That said, rates are still rarely changed and a casino, at least where I live, MUST tell you the payout rate of a machine when asked.
Casinos are not rigged to cheat you. They simply pay you less than the true odds on all of your bets and that's how they make their money. And, by the way, casinos are one of the most highly regulated industries in the world. All the casinos want you to do is to continue to play because if you do that long enough you will end up a loser. It's just a simple matter of mathematics. There are some games where the player can get an advantage, such as blackjack and video poker, but most people don't have the bankroll, nor the knowledge needed to beat those games.
Hi Steve, I want to say I thought you did an excellent job on this video. The greatest part of the video I thought was when you actually gave the references of the public reports about gaming payouts, because most people just claim the information they are giving you is fact, but they never give you a actually way to fact check them on your side. My only question to you Steve is when someone is playing a slot machine at $1 a spin if you change the denomination to $5 a spin does the random number generator chip inside shift and change the payout percentage like you said in the video the higher bets will produce more payback percentage, and second when you do switch the denomination does it switch to another random number generator within the machine? I wasn't sure if slot machines had multiple random number generators inside of it or if there is just one of them that controls all payouts. Thank you for your time, hope to hear back from. Thank you again.
We have not been able to get a straight answer on that but we believe so. Many states now have the paybacks for multi-denomination machines in their own category so it is hard to tell what part of those numbers are from what denomination on the machine
Do you understand what random number generator means? "a device that generates a sequence of numbers or symbols that cannot be reasonably predicted better than by a random chance." there is no such thing as "different" random number generators lol
Don’t go Casino.. specially don’t play slot machine.. it looks beautiful with their jackpot price. People get more attached and eager to win but in real it’s terrible.. All slot machine are set up.. if you want to play for fun.. it’s different case.. but if you want to play for win, at the end you will keep losing your all money.. it leads you depressed and financially crisis .. better keep away from casino.. save your money and spend on what good for you.. I do have personal experience. In casino how much you win, you need more... And when you lose your money then you want your money back.. somehow you keep losing your all money, time and sleep.. Enjoy your life.. be happy always.. keep away from gambling.. it’s really bad.. when you get addicted then it will be very late..
I feel bad for the people who are on here defending their gambling addiction because it's not their fault, it's these big companies that own all this sh*t and force "The big win is possible" narrative.
In 2011, I played max bet on a quarter slot machine and I kept winning. Every friday after work, I'd go and kept winning $300, $600, $900, $1200 jackpots. It was paying out so much, and so frequently, I really thought there was something wrong with this machine. So I kept going back every friday for a whole year in 2011. I was $5000 ahead by the end of 2011. Suddenly, everything changed. No more jackpots over $200 ever at all. After a year of hitting big jackpots over and over all year long on the same machine, there suddenly were no more jackpots over $200 at all...EVER. I was playing with house money, so I kept going back til the whole $5000 was gone and then some. So don't tell me they don't 'RESET' the payout on these machines. They do.
Keep in mind this was posted in 2009. He hinted at some technologies that were on the horizon at that time that may very well be in play in 2021. I wonder if the answer to any of those good questions has changed between then and now as well.
The information in the video is still accurate. In the U.S. it is estimated by gaming industry experts that less than 10% of the gaming machines use a server-based system. Since this video was first released there are now some pick'em bonuses that are pre-determined. We made an update to this video where we talk about this issue and you can see it here - ruclips.net/video/hkhjZ00rsHQ/видео.html Also, there is usually a way to tell if the bonus was pre-determined and it is discussed in this newer video.
Here's the deal.. If you win on slot machine's it's totally by chance. I literally watched this very video while I was at a casino and won nothing. You have better odds playing the tables or really just investing your money.
Obviously this man is talking for the favorite of casinos, ofcourse it's predetermined no matter which symbol you pick, it'll always give you the lowest bonus possible, also about changing the odds of winning or the pays out percentages isn't a difficult job as the manufacturer who installed the machine from the first time can still set up any pays out he wants, those who use to play slot machines before lockdown know what I'm talking about, used to hit the jackpot atleast once or twice a week, now it's almost impossible to get even a nice line up or big bonus.
I make my living with statistics. Thank you for such a succinct and accurate presentation about how regulated casino gambling works! I see and hear so much nonsense that ends up harming players financially.
Glad to hear you liked it! Also you don't have to completely avoid the slots as they can still be good fun, just don't use your entire bankroll on them
I thought this was going to be some kind of "win at slots" scam so I clicked on it for my own entertainment. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that you were just giving people the facts. I think most people who can't wrap their heads around this stuff are a lost cause but maybe you can dissuade some from losing their money to these machines.
I live 20 min from Hard Rock Tampa and I hit and LEAVE lol. I take those little 100$ wins meant to keep you seated and get my ass up and go home.Yeah some days NOTHING hits but plenty of times I leave on profit
I think what he forgot to mention was that the "90% returns" includes the 1 in a million person who wins the jackpot. So you may never see any of that 90%... but some lucky person will get 90% of your (and everyone else's) money.
That was such a great explanation on how slot machines work! You did a great job explaining. I learned a lot Off Of You video thank you so much for posting
Hang on did anyone else read the comments sections and people say rude stuff to him and I realized his rebuttals are like mine concise and he gets his point across as well as checking them on being rude I love this guy rebuttals and comments
I’ve never met anyone luckier than my mother in-law, she’s been playing for years and everytime she plays she always wins the jackpot! She doesn’t play a lot though just whenever she goes out to dinner she’ll have a little play, lucky lady.
This works for me every time. Take $100 to the casino. Watch someone play a machine for a long time and not win. Think, "Boy, what a sucker!" Walk away with your money. Works 100% of the time.
Bravo! Fantastic bit of research and this video! I have heard all of these theories about slot machines through the years from my friends and family. Mathematically, logically, and practically, none of these ideas made sense to me but I had nothing to counter their statements. At least what I had figured was in fact the reality of how these machines worked and how the industry is regulated turned out to be correct! Thanks again.
If this video is from 2009 im sure the technology is different... And the bottom line is folks.... If you dont have the money to lose... Dont keep playing waiting to win back what you spent... Or more... No doubt it is fun to play... But.. "know your limit and play within it"👍people lose mortgage money/rent ...bill money... Etc... Take care of your responsibilities first! And if youve got some play money left... Good luck! But everyone has to use self control😁
Interesting. The video highlights the common fallacies associated with slot machines. I remember taking my wife to a casino and we played the slots for a little while, but she was more fascinated watching other gamblers losing their money, especially on the roulette table, which is the fastest way to lose money I know! Fortunately I'm blessed in being the unluckiest person when it comes to gambling. If there was a two horse race my money would be on the one with three legs. So, I don't gamble unless it is with matchsticks or buttons! It is just as much fun. I suggest anyone hooked on slots should buy their own machine and treat it as a piggy bank to save up for things they really need. Have fun and when visiting a casino leave the plastic and check book at home!
85% to 98% would be correct. You can see list of actual payback percentages at various US casino jurisdictions, here - www.americancasinoguidebook.com/slot-machine-payback-statistics.html
I believe if you are playing machines with large jackpots, it may feel this way even more so. Everyone is paying towards that jackpot which will eventually hit and contribute to the average 80-95% payback
Gamblers fallacy also applies in the reverse. Despite the odds being 85-98%, the vast number of bets that slot addicts play means their cash stack quickly dwindles to nothing. Let's say your bankroll is 100$ and you're betting your entire stack each spin to simplify the math After spin 1 you're expected to have 85$ After spin 2 you're expected to have 72.25$ After spin 3 you're expected to have 61.41$. 85-98% sounds like a lot, but 15% house odds is ENORMOUS
I call BS on near misses not being allowed to be programmed in. How many times have you seen the big jackpot symbols line up below or above the pay line? I have seen this MANY times. If it really was not allowed, this would have the same odds as landing on the pay line. Totally programmed in. No doubt about it.
Certain games have their reels weighted - they do this to make the math work. Three reel slots for example. Some video slots are weighted too but the actually math - the RNG pull - does work for either type of game. The teases you speak of might have to do with the limited amount of stops on a three reel game - it's common for progressive symbols or multipliers to land right above or below the Payline only because the blank or other symbol that does land on the Payline is weighted to land more frequently.
Chad Kandaris Have to agree, I've seen many machines that run through pre-programmed teaser patterns, near misses. Things like gamble / collect and nudges etc aren't random either. Certainly not in the UK
Chris Longley Humans are amazing at detecting patterns and if there are three or four of the same in a row we assume that is is programmed. The easier explanation is that randomness sometimes delivers streaks that appear predetermined. Slots are amazingly random - simple math and programming dictates this. I've had the privilege of speaking with several of the mathematicians from WMS and Aristocrat. These games are highly tested and regulated and outcomes are nothing but random.
Slot Machine Videos by DProxima If it was random I don't see how people like yourself could create "How To Beat The Slot Machines" material or how the casinos would vary the pay out percentage?
also, The bonus round where you pick is sometimes predetermined. Most of the time where you have to match 3 it is predetermined. Only sometimes it's not. It's based on when you stopped the rng. Most of the time only mini or minor are the only winning combinations on those.
Yes.
Yes you are exactly right when I was set Bal to mirror a had the security door open and I had a few seconds should look and sigh then there is the mother board in are that controls every single with shape you are 100% correct their dirty
If you take $100 only to play the slots and you only spend $100 rather it takes all night or 30 minutes.. it's no different than any other form of entertainment. If I have a budget to spend $100 to $150 out on the town on a night out, anywhere I go.. be it dinner and drinks for two a club.. or a casio.. and on that night out my budget is $150 or even $500 .. that's all i spend, no matter what.. period. it's all about discipline. . If you are at a casino and spend beyond your budget, the casino did not take your money.. you just willingly gave them money you did not have to spend! Its entertainment! You should spend your budge at a casino and leave just like you do with any other form of entertainment.. it's the same as a restaurant.. you dont keep ordering food when you have no money left and you are full just so you can taste something better.. you get your ticket and check out when you are done. It does not make slots or casinos crooked if you spend beyond what you allow yourself to spend.. it just makes you stupid for doing it..
Exactly, we just try to teach people ways for their money to last longer. Because if you spent $100 on a ticket to a concert, wouldn't you feel much better if the concert lasted several hours rather than it only lasting 30 minutes? Same goes for gambling.
Thank you for this - unfortunately some people are totally unable to comprehend how an RNG works as is evidenced by this VERY ACCURATE video having a "much too high" dislike ratio.
I won $1,250. my first time playing a slot machine on the third pull. I immediately cashed out and have never played again.
Nice. I remember winning like 600 bucks once when I was about to lose my 100 I put in. I think I was like 1 or 2 failed pulls away. I was like yah that was lucky and was done. Rarely play slots anyway.
Went my friends birthday i never gamble but said I would spend 40 my last spin on my last 20 I won 1200 cashed out and was done
😂

Step two. Go to work.
Step three. Profit.

The Law of Averages (or "Sooner or later, pigs get baked or fried.")
they no longer give free drinks
Not true my friend... Not true at all... They are are going to take 10percent of your money... They will take ALL your money...
I spent more than 300 bucks in one hour at one machine and never won anything back fuck the casinos it's the devil's play ground

The whole video is just really outdated.
My partner hit a 724 dollar mini last night after spending maybe 50. Made her cash out and pick a new machine lol
Thank you!
Thanks!
Ur uncle is addicted to heroin
I am watching this because currently I am at a Casino right now and i don't have a clue wtf I am doing so here I am right now
You win bruh?
So how was it HAHA
Hitting a button is complicated
There is a system. Leave when you're ahead.
no - better dont play.
It's that simple!
the long term payout is 85 to 95%
the long term payout of putting your money in your sock drawer is 100%
whenever you are tempted to goto a casino, take the money you planned to spend and put it in an envelope and forget about it.
In the long run you will have beaten the odds at the casino, you would have been payed back 100% every time - you CANT LOSE
At the end of the year, take the envelope out and say JACKPOT! look at all the money I WON! Then go buy yourself something nice
I make money ALMOST every time I go to a casino because I work there : )
What do you need to work in a casino, I mean, what studies or experience you need to have or what they need to teach you to work in a casino?
@@gaboguason1 this is 5 years ago he probably doesn't work there and he means he works there by getting a paycheck that's how it gets the money 😆😆🤦♂️🤡💩
The best way to win is not to play period.
But then you don't technically "win."
Christina something tells me you are not very smart
Just remember folks--This video is 12 years old so what happened 12 years ago doesn't necessarily apply today.
You are right
They make a lot of new videos..... Also dad is pretty sassy now 🤣
I used to date a casino floor cashier.
@Charles Pieters please tell me why?
Please don't listen to this person.
If you feel the urge to gamble just go to your toilet flush all your money and look in the mirror. This is how you will feel after returning from the Casino.
Not sure it's a good idea to flush your money down the toilet! We'd rather have some fun with it in the casino. We only gamble with our "entertainment" money. We play the games offering us the best odds and we know the best strategies for playing them, plus we take advantage of some of the benefits offered to us by the casino, such as free rooms, free food, free shows, etc.
If you people don't like gambling why are you watching this video 💀 salty as hell
No you go to play casino money not yr own
Gee i laughed hard after reading that. sooooo true.
Hi Steve.
I am wondering, after watching a lot of your advice videos, if the amount of the bet... High vs Low... improves the chances of winning a jackpot.
You just have to be smart about it, put in the amount of money you would be okay with losing, you either win or lose that’s all.
that's right...the best way to win is to get the most enjoyment for your money...so even though playing penny slots gives you the least chance of making a profit, if you lose $30 playing penny slots for a few hours, but feel you had $30 worth of fun, then you really didn't lose, you just paid $30 for some fun with a slight chance of making money.
You can become a millionaire playing slots of you are a billionaire.
They already do that with the stock market
Just remember when you walk into a casino it is a business and like any business its there to make money not give it away. If you are running low on money and you think you can go to the casino to make some extra money the chance are 90 percent against you of doing so. Never go into a casino and play with money you can not afford to lose. I would recommend if you go take you credit cards out and do not take them with you and only take the cash you plan on losing.
now you can pay thru apps i will leave my cards and my phone
A lot of the newer machines are not adicting and the payouts are cheap. They have lost me as a player. I save a lot of money now. Thanks.
Don't use slot card? Why not?
I'm with you on this, its annoying to the gut.
@@TheJackpotGents nah this Pat guy is right. I saw it happen. It's also not hard to program something like that into a gambling machine.
He never answered the "How to win" at slots question! Lucky for anyone that may see this, I got yall! It's..... wait for it..... start your own Casino!!! Yay!!!
he did, the answer is "you dont"
And yet he wrote the book…🤷♂️🚮

This was a great video- until I realized it was 10 years old. 😂 I would love to see a newer versions accounting for the new technology. 👍🙏😀

wow! u still respond to comments on a video more than 10 years old.
The easiest way to leave the casino with $1000 is to arrive there with $2000.
I got a pacemaker back in April and have noticed a little extra "luck" since then.
you can win if you are lucky, thats it . there is no another thing....GOOD LUCK evryone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not an expert at gaming or slot machines, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express.
This was so informative. I don’t go to casinos but this erased all my preconceived notions about slots.

Enjoy your life.. be happy always.. keep away from gambling.. it’s really bad.. when you get addicted then it will be very late..
no
I feel bad for the people who are on here defending their gambling addiction because it's not their fault, it's these big companies that own all this sh*t and force "The big win is possible" narrative.
A lot of people were disappointed when his advice to win is to simply be lucky. Some people actually think there is a system to slots.. Poor saps.
Not disappointed, but it confirmed what I've always believed, LUCK.
In 2011, I played max bet on a quarter slot machine and I kept winning.
Every friday after work, I'd go and kept winning $300, $600, $900, $1200 jackpots. It was paying out so much, and so frequently,
I really thought there was something wrong with this machine. So I kept going back every friday for a whole year in 2011. I was $5000 ahead by the end of 2011.
Suddenly, everything changed. No more jackpots over $200 ever at all. After a year of hitting big jackpots over and over all year long on the same machine,
there suddenly were no more jackpots over $200 at all...EVER.
I was playing with house money, so I kept going back til the whole $5000 was gone and then some.
So don't tell me they don't 'RESET' the payout on these machines.
They do.
Victor Murat for a whole year? Come on man
Keep in mind this was posted in 2009.
Well I bet nobody has interviewed more people than this guy

@Thomas S Prize
I don’t even know why I’m here. I don’t even like casinos, but this guy makes this a lot more enjoyable
you are waiting to see if he survives out there, I think.
Right you’re absolutely right
Thanks now I can feel comfortable gambling a whole pay check lol
Because the casinos are built on paying off winners🤣
A good tip , always remember that the money you have in your pocket is probably more than what you going to win anyway.. unless your extremely lucky!!
The house alway win !!! The slots in iowa more money put might win !!! Before they pay out !!!
I make my living with statistics. Thank you for such a succinct and accurate presentation about how regulated casino gambling works! I see and hear so much nonsense that ends up harming players financially.
Such great information. I just wish I believed it.

New machines can be adjusted remotely and instantly. They are tracked in real time.
Thank you. Very informative. Visiting Vegas next year and now I know to swerve the slots.
Last week I play in vegas, 15.00 and I won 400.00 and I walked out right away. Take money home.
It seems to me that your best bet is to just go to the buffet. At least you get something for your money.
Eric Larson lol that's right. Its the only win- win situation in a casino.
It would be interesting to know how the payback algorithm interacts with the RNG in order to ensure payback percentages?
It's all random. The theoretical payback percentage is based on the pay table of the game you play (assuming maximum bets and perfect play).
Small Bill's, stick and move. Win a little, cash out. Keep your ticket. Use cash for the next machine

once you hit a bonus round, play it and walk away. otherwise you will lose all

How to win at a slot machine? Don't Play.
How they work: They take your money and don't give it back.
How to win: Don't play them or touch them.
Saw a guy win 40k in a slot machine
Saw a guy win 70k in a slot machine.
Saw a guy win 75k in a slot machine
I don’t believe the slots pay back is 85%-98%. No way. Ask anybody who’s ever became a slot machine addict. The return is usually a 20%
85% to 98% would be correct. You can see list of actual payback percentages at various US casino jurisdictions, here - www.americancasinoguidebook.com/slot-machine-payback-statistics.html
Also jackpots can now be 'malfunctions'.
Let's say your bankroll is 100$ and you're betting your entire stack each spin to simplify the math
After spin 1 you're expected to have 85$
After spin 2 you're expected to have 72.25$
After spin 3 you're expected to have 61.41$.
85-98% sounds like a lot, but 15% house odds is ENORMOUS
you guys are dumb he is right all slots have around 85%-98%. its calculated through like a millions of spins over time
I call BS on near misses not being allowed to be programmed in.
Chris Longley
Humans are amazing at detecting patterns and if there are three or four of the same in a row we assume that is is programmed.
Chris Longley
I would never produce any material like that because playing a slot machine is always statistically a losing proposition.
The way to make a small fortune at the slot machine is to start with a large one!
also, The bonus round where you pick is sometimes predetermined. Most of the time where you have to match 3 it is predetermined. Only sometimes it's not. It's based on when you stopped the rng. Most of the time only mini or minor are the only winning combinations on those.
Yes.
I been playing penny slots at Boston Encore (Wynn) for 2 years, and I have a 99% losing rate.
Are you bragging or complaining??
I always thought people are watching from upstairs and they pick who wins lol
Me too lol
Yeah, they especially don't pay if they see an angry sucker dumping in a fortune. lol
It's still just entertainment
Thank you for this - unfortunately some people are totally unable to comprehend how an RNG works as is evidenced by this VERY ACCURATE video having a "much too high" dislike ratio.
Probably people who work in the industry and don't like his honest approach.
