    I used to work as a service engineer on AWP machines, as they are known as in the UK, so I probably know more about them than 99.99% of people. I would never dream of putting so much as a penny of my own money into one of these machines in a social situation and I have never known another service engineer who would. The guy we worked for, who owned the machines, was one of the wealthiest men in the county.

You are correct, When I saw a book on how to play slots I knew it would be a very short book. Don't play. No man can read into a random number generator who pics in the millions. No hot or cold, it doesn't care if a jackpot was just hit or not in a year, its based on the life of the machine. Cheers and have fun with Fruit Machines.

      Can you be a long term winner at Slots? Short answer no, long answer kind of. Take note of how this guy stresses his play of 'Must Hit' progressives. If you always play the must hit progressives you can be a long term winner. Getting a 8 to 10% edge is not unreasonable if your ONLY playing high denomination must hits close to the progressive. Additionally you would need to know how much of each bet goes into the progressive to insure that your expected loss is less than that progressive. Finding these machines especially in such a state is getting increasingly more difficult. We used to have a $1 machine with a must hit progressive of $1000 if you started playing when the progressive was over $950 it was easy to make a shit load of money. Unfortunately as people began to realize that they wouldn't play the machine unless the progressive was already really high. Those who did not know would often play the machines until being harassed by other players who wanted that jackpot. Needless to say it did not take the casino long to remove it from the floor.

    I will say this, must hit jackpot can be won by figuring out how much you have to spin for the amount to go up. I've spent 300 in a machine to win 800. The unlimited jackpots are completely random. I was lucky enough to hit a $14,643 jackpot on a ,50 cent bet in less than $10. That will never happen again

    He loved to gamble.
    I love to play slots. Even knowing it's all very random luck.
    I fully realize I'm basically throwing my money in for little return.
    My real enjoyment is to just be lucky and play for a decent amount of time.
    Also the long odds of hitting something.

    • @davidowen1506
      @davidowen1506 2 года назад +2

      Yes it is random, but that randomness doesn’t necessarily matter because of the progressive nature of the jackpot. As an example let’s assume a jackpot only machine, with payouts of zero or the jackpot. Let’s also assume the odds of the jackpot are 10,000:1.
      When the machine starts, the jackpot is only 1000$, or an EV of 10% for the player (1$ spin). As players play, the jackpot slowly rises (as progressives do), and 3 weeks later you notice the jackpot pays 20,000:1. Since the odds of hitting the jackpot are 1 in 10,000, your expected value of every play is now 2$ for a price of 1$. You now have the advantage playing that machine.

      Did something like this a few weeks ago on a random Progressive machine that I never played. Hot Hit Max bet was a dollar fifty and I went through about 20 bucks before I went up to $90 on one of the bonuses.
      A few weeks later I go in there and that bonus is up to $98 and the bonus above it went from from 220 to 250.
      I was Max betting on that machine for almost an hour before I hit that jackpot and got 250 dollars. I only spent 50 bucks outta my pocket.
      That was a month ago and I haven't hit anything on that machine since.

First I learn for The interview with Brian that $.10 denominations are better or $1 games or higher are better to play. Then I learned and watch which machines constantly goes to the bonus rounds more frequent than others. Then learned the new method of waiting for the jackpot to get high enough to play before it’s ready to pay out. Sometimes you get lucky and can do it with $200. Now I mostly play $5,000 & $10,000 must hit jack pots. It does work. Thank you for this channel for of great info

    I have learned there are 2 types of casino. One kind sets their machines at an average payback rate and leave them alone most of the time then the other is the kind that changes their payback % on a regular basis usually monthly. One of the ways you make money from slots is through high amounts of free slot play. Say you get $300 in slot play a week then you make $300 from it, then you take half and try again and keep the other half. About half of the time you can double or more that half you play back especially if you know when to go. The casinos are usually better around the 1st week of the month due to disability and social security checks coming out and most of it going right to the slots from those old geezers with nothing else to do. Now if you live somewhere with 10 casinos like i do and you get free play like i just mentioned from only 3 of them and do the math that would be an average of $1200 a month from each casino times 3, that comes out to $3600 from FREE PLAY. Thats how you win at the casino.

      Hey actually the fact is... USUALLY after a machine pays out a "hand payout" on a winning slot machine, the odds get remotely changed within the legal limits. This "change" done by the casino remotely definitely gets monitored and recorded by the gaming commission so that the odds to win are still within a legal range. There's some more to it, which Im not going to get into now, but hope that helps figure out why they take the machine offline temporarily...(in case you wondered) I love slots and do very well...but mostly, it's exciting and fun..

    Steve/Matt... great questions. The old saying that a sucker is born every minute is still alive and well. If someone were winning lots of money from slots then, the following would probably stand out: 1) A nice house/mansion.. not a studio apartment with a cramped room and a computer. The distance from his books to the monitor tells you he has a very small room. 2) $10k is a lot of money.. why not offer it for free and pay back the money that you WILL win? 3) The website looks like one of the scam websites that i've seen over the years... where are the testimonials? 4) Why go to a gaming conference and tell them what you're doing and then sell your method to people? It doesn't make sense. I got a good laugh out of the interview and the claims. I just hope that people think long and hard before handing over $10k. Take that $10K and learn to play poker.. at least you will have a hobby that you could make money at in time once you learn it. I don't know how the guy can even talk with a straight face without bursting out laughing. I thought someone was going to jump from beside him and say.. "got you.. you've been had!"

    Advantage Play is well known in table games and lesser known in slots (but casinos are well aware of advantage slots players). Essentially, you must be able to see that as the player, that some form of equity is available on the machine. Most known, this happens with progressive jackpots (but not just any progressive will do). Also, seasoned advantage players will take advantage of casino promotions (loss based and freeplay) etc, to improve the equity. I could go into great detail on how this works, but for obvious reasons, I'd rather keep the masses in the dark if they aren't willing to do their own homework.

    Interesting. I don't recall hearing about time. If it truly is 8% returns on slots (which are fast to begin with), I imagine it doesn't take nearly as long as card counting. Of course I'm skeptical and not personally interested, but a good question would've been... What is the average time commitment to be a successful player?

  • @MechEngDommo
    @MechEngDommo 5 лет назад +1

    This guy is right, but there's a few details that you need to konw. On a lot of must hit games (ainsworth ones for example), every bet advances the progressives. If you estimate RTP at around 90%, then count out the amount advanced per $ bet, you can calculate it. For example suppose you've got a progressive worth $500, if every $1 bet advances it by a penny, and it's currently at $495, you know that it would cost you $500 to guaruntee the win. Realistically, it wouldn't cost you that much because you're going to have some winning spins in there and it could go off at less than the $500 must hit. So if you sat on it and put $300 into the machine, and you won say $200 on it (lost $100 of your stake), then hit a progressive for $498, you'd have a net profit of $398. For a lot of games like that you can work out where the profit mark is. For a game like just described it's probably about break even around $490, but at like $495 it's a guaranteed profit. On higher denom slots that have higher RTP, that cut off instead of being at like $490, might be at like $485 or something. However this rule really only works well for games that add to the progressive with each spin.
    Some other games can also be calculated like quick hits, but those are a lot more unreliable and harder to win because most of those progressives are banked machines and because they are dependent on the progressive reaching a certain value to be profitable. This can be estimated by getting the par sheets for those machines. A quick hits game that say starts the big prize at $5k, and has a second prize of $1k, might be a +EV game if the big jackpot gets to like 10 or 12k and maybe if the small one gets to 2k. It just depends on the machine. Now these machines, while technically +EV plays are not reliable money makers in the long run.
    The last ones are ones that advance the progressive based on your wins (e.g. WMS games like the G+ series). These also have a profit point because they usually advance the progressive by a penny for every two dollars in wins. The problem with these games what makes them harder to reliably make a profit on, is that they rely on wins to advance the progressive. This means that if you get unlucky and run into an ice cold machine, even advancing a progressive that's at like $497 on a $500 must hit could cost way more than the progressive. These are still +EV plays, but you need to have a fixed budget when you attack them. For example, if you're chasing a $500 progressive with perhaps a few dollars to go, you might bankroll an amount equal to the estimated progressive prize. They're still worth doing, but the trick is to keep the bets small so that you're more likely extend your play and more reliably advance the progressive.

My highest amount was $19,000 in two hours on one machine. Now, I can't win anything. Machines are much tighter and I am playing the same way. Not sure what is going on, but I keep trying.

    This guy is correct. Some games have "pools". In some cases as the pools build up, the RTP goes above 100%. If the game is a small banked game (2-3 games together) and not wide area - or the game is stand alone, you can definitely win on these machines. You have to play the machine until you win - or in the case of a bank of machines, you have to play them ALL until one of them wins - meaning you have to have a team or players. One company I worked for recalled a game like this. The game still pays the correct RTP, but when the pools are just starting (reset to "zero"), the RTP is much lower. The RTP slides up as the pools get higher. The casinos did not like the "vultures" waiting for the pools to go above a certain point so they could play. So they just removed the title.

      No - it's not really a jackpot. It is some game mechanic that stores a pool. Some pool number grows - and when the corresponding "jackpot" is triggered, you win the pool. If the pool is large enough, the overall RTP of the machine goes above 100% until the "jackpot" is paid.

    I've played slot machines for year's. The old Red White and Blue machines paid well. Wheel of fortune has paid me very well on a max bet jackpot. 5x 10x machine has paid me very well on a max bet jackpot. My rich uncle Ben machine paid well. Lots of the old machines have been removed and replaced with newer computerized motherboards and the reels are number generated individually. So a jackpot is straight luck nothing more. You can push a button or pull the one arm bandit your odds are the same only thing different is the timing, and timing is a virtue playing a slot machine. I've sit next to a woman that hit 28.000 on on a progressive wheel of fortune. She said she has played for many year's and never seen over 1400 on a jackpot. My opinion and experience never give back your profit. I've hit jackpots not expecting to hit sometimes I go just for fun with friends to get away. If I want to play a slot machine and don't feel like leaving home I play my own slot machine in my home. Good luck to anyone that plays the one arm bandits because Luck you will definitely be needed.

    This pro slot player is right. That said, it's way too much work to tabulate when the odds will favor the payout vs money spent probability. Furthermore, you have to have a huge bankroll because the odds of winning are still low. So it could easily take you a year or two to win a jackpot...if at all. Just like the lottery when it hits $500 million. The odds may be less than 1-500 million to win, but still...just because the odds favor you doesn't mean YOU'LL be the one who gets the winning ticket. Same thing with progressive slots. Better to stay away from ALL SLOTS.

      In the state of Washington the slots work differently because the games are more like electronic ‘scratch’ ticket games which use a finite number of tickets with a predetermined number of winners and losers. The same is also true for casinos at racetracks in New York state. Those are the only two states where I believe the machines work in this manner. There many Indian casinos that offer Class II slot games, but those are all based on bingo.

    You can win at slots and you can lose at slots. The odds are never in your favor. But all casinos have some that " attract players " with a higher percentage of payback than others. The trick is to find those machines and try to get an advantage. But we all know even on a 95% payback machine... You're in the hole on every bet and the payoff is smaller. Just more often. Slots are for the fun of it. You absolutely have no control over win or lose because they are based on "random number generators... " and very payline is equal to a number which determines what you get. You can count cards, you can't count random numbers!!

However if I had $10,000 for this gentleman to come see me for 3 days that I could be a winner. What a let-down. You shouldn't be discouraged. Anybody can win on slots. You just have to get lucky. Peter, however, is promoting a system to be a long-term winner. I have dabbled with "must hit by" slots and I know that it will work if you find machines that have a high enough jackpot before you sit down to play. However, it is difficult to find those high jackpots. Peter's system is a bit different because he seems to concentrate on large progressive jackpots rather than "must hit by" slots. Enjoy your trip to Vegas and, hopefully, you will get lucky and win at the slots!

    Other videos. This is way over the "top". Sorry guys I had to share this disclaimer.
