Next time you eat soup dumplings, stop picking up the dumpling itself. Lift up the parchment paper underneath with your chopsticks or hand, and then just let the dumpling separate itself and fall into your spoon. Seeing you lose soup almost every soup dumpling video is painful
I was thinking the only way he could save those soup dumplings was to lift the entire parchment up and deliver it to his mouth. But your way seems more civilized 😝

I believe he has to manipulate the close-up on the camera tho... A lot of the food vloggers use a one hand eating technique when doing the close ups. Check out Tim Lee, same thing. He even mentioned it too.

They are mostly bottom dwellers and in today's oceans, their organs are filtering all sorts of toxic products esp. metals. While the muscle meat remains mostly unscathed the organs retain a lot of these filter products. You put so much effort into maintaining your health I just wanted you to know.

soup dumplings seem like theyd be better if they had a thicker base that thin wrapping is just too fragile you miss a lot of the hardest part of the dumpling :( but man are they still great :D or served in a oiled spoon that can be steamed ? idk

Fancy places are well and good, but I think Mikey is in his true element with mom n' pop joints and street food, because his enthusiasm is just electrifying at times like that.
and the solution is.....put individual papers under the soup dumplings so you can slide the dumpling onto a Chinese spoon, lift to your mouth and make your pinch opening without losing a drop. There, done Thank me latter!
Chicken broth is more delicate and mild compared to pork or beef in my opinion. So I see why the chefs used it, so that the flavors don’t fight each other but complement each other.
