Battles of Stefan Lazarevic: Battle of Nicopolis 1396 (Documentary)

After the expedition to Wallachia, despite his defeat, Ottoman Sultan Bayazid came out of it stronger. Bayazid conquered Vidin and Nicopolis. He also annexed the leaderless Serb provinces where the descendants of King Marko and Constantine Dragas were not allowed to consolidate their power. Vuk Brankovic was punished and his remaining possessions were seized (most notably including Pristina) by the Ottomans. Still, the victory at Rovine greatly boosted the morale of the Christian nations. All of Western Europe was impressed by the deed of Voivode Mircea and prepared for a Crusade against the Ottoman Empire.
