Since Marko's departure from the band, Floor has taken over his parts as well and made it her own. Yes, Floor was speaking German to the German audience. She speaks Dutch, English, Swedish, German and some Finnish. You might even call her an over-achiever. ;-)😁😂
She has taken German lessons because she participated the German version of "Beste Zangers" Sing Meinen Song, last year. And most songs she did in that show in German. And the other artists, all German, gave her also the compliment of speaking very well in German

As people have already mentioned , Floor is doing double duty in this song , thats why you hear the harsher vocals ( marcos parts ) to the operatic ( tarja , Floor) . Anyway fantastic request from whoever it was ....thank you !!
Planet Hell has a major portion that Marco used to sing and at high vocal level. People miss the part that Floor actually deepens her voice to sing Marco’s phrases. Just an amazing singer and high energy song from Nightwish.
And Floor speaks excellently german. She recently appeared here in a TV show. Over several days. She has refreshed her German language skills especially for this purpose. The song is actually sung by Marko and Floor. Now that Marko is gone, Floor also sings his part. You also hear that because the tonality changes again and again. You should watch the same song again with Marko. Floor can speak many languages and I personally think it's great that if she is able to speak the language of the country in which she has a concert and she does.
Have fun saterday during the concert. Monday November 28th I'm finally going to see Nightwish and I'm pomped already. Next year May 3th I'm going to see Sabaton in Amsterdam. You can imagine how trilled I am.

Seeing Nightwish with thousands of passionate fans is beyond amazing. It is like a spiritual experience. A shared celebration and ecstatic out of body sensation.
I can share the feeling you get from this one, how they can take your heart beat to the roof and having time of your life. By the way, there is a lot concerts in Europe in december and hopefully tickets to be available. So, once in the lifetime to you two, a little bit of travelling and experience this magic. I have my first tickets to NW concert for the next year.
Wow.. Floor did an amazing job with this "golden oldie", since she had to sing Marko's parts as well. So the back and forth dynamics between the two great vocalists are missing, but still the song rocks hard as h3ll! The title reminds me of a quote, attributed to Aldous Huxley: "How do you know that the earth isn’t some other planet’s hell?". Don't think it played a role at the time this song was written by Tuomas. The association becomes interesting tho, with NW's "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" album, bcz of the close association between Darwin and the (social) Darwinist/eugenicist Huxley family. A little something perhaps abt the lyrics & the message. Theme is that Hell on Earth is self-inflicted, by ppl following belief systems that promise hope which always lies beyond the horizon (e.g. life after death, martyrdom). The first verse testifies to ppl fighting because of the hope offered and thus live their lives in strife. The observer (Tuomas) is witness to this never-ending mess and just wishes to escape from it all. Biblical allusions hint at this self-deceiving system of hope with high standards put on mankind (don't throw the 1st stone), which are hypocritically upheld as they're cast aside. The Greek mythology reference to Charon is about choosing death as an escape. This song is utterly defeatist and 100% despair. I believe "My 1st cry never-ending", is about the first cry at birth upon being thrown into "Planet Hell". I believe the song was written by Tuomas when Nightwish was a band in deep trouble, sort of a micro-version of self inflicted hell. The atmosphere had been very dark for years already, culminating in the inevitable firing of their 1st songster. That event, a PR failure of epic proportions, backfired to such an extent that Tuomas had to come up with a masterpiece (The Poet and the Pendulum) in order to not cash his penny with Charon in real life. /rant 😁 Great reaction you guys. Trivial info, in finnish, Pluto is Pluto. Goofy, is Hessu Hopo. So, Tuomas Holopainen got character to finnish Donald Duck comics, mr Hopolainen. Nightwish, appeared there too, "Yövissy". Night, is in finnish "yö", and "wish", well, sounds bit like vissy, soda drink.

This a great song sang by Floor. When you think singing the songs of this concert alone, it needs a lot of effort to do it. This song was released 2004, sang by the first leading singer Tarja Turunen. It would be nice if you could react that version also.

And I never was very comfortable with Tarja's vocals, so I really wished to hear this song performed live with Floor and Marco, but then they performed it after Marco left... 😢 I get that probably they wanted to prove that Floor can sing for both of them, and there is no question, she can do it all, but for me it is not the same song...
