This is so crazy but I was at the Masters practice round today. I saw Dana out there working with Viktor Hovland. I thought it was him, but wasnt completely sure until I saw him take his glasses off. So cool to see him! The stuff he’s been teaching you, Jerome, has really been helping me. I would’ve liked to thank him.
Only thing is missing on how the wrist movement on downswing during transition. But overall the video is 🔥🔥🔥 pls have Dana explain it. Thanks guys. New sub
Its been an eye opener for all the stuff I didn't learn 30 years ago and self taught. The one move non-coaches DON'T teach is the trail elbow in and bend. Your driver looks good because the ball is forward. You should ask Dana and try moving the ball forward with your irons so it'll give your club face time to square because your bottom is more forward as well vs being slightly opened, bottoming out early and ball going right. Along with aiming/direction, you'll need to recheck all your club distances as you get better and if you change clubs and or balls. Check 22:20. 4 Swings were feet aligned to the left (a few inches) and not parallel to alignment stick which is good for a fade shot. Be aware of your feet and alignment stick. Some shots went to the right because your feet were slightly left of the alignment stick and club path was down the line, and it fades. If your feet are aligned right of target and club path is down the line, it will draw. Check feet, stick and divot for feedback. Try not to take deep divots on long shots. You'll destroy your wrist sooner. Shallow means shallow to no divots from the tee, unless you need more compression on a Par 3. The compression is for your approach shot and ball placement/movement left to right/right to left on a undulating green. Your practice divots seem too deep and will cause chunking or club face opening. If you aim left and you want the ball to go straight or draw, you'll have to manipulate the club face to close a few millimeters to get it square. Once you take club away, the wrist moves slightly, and you have to move them back slightly. If you stay aligned left of target and swing down the alignment stick line, your target should be to the right, then your shot is perfect. If you align your toes to the right and swing down alignment stick line or to the right, it should draw, and your target should be to the left. This should help you feel good whether a shot was going in the correct direction or not. Fade, draw, straight is the key.
Absolutely love your videos with these experts. I Learn so much from them. You are a lucky man with these lessons. Keep learning, keep loving golf. Happy for you.
Thank you Jerome. Your goal is much appreciated. Curious if Dana recommends any performance aids, for somebody that cannot travel to California., or where the rainy weather and snow has hindered practicing outdoors
One of the best swing coach in the world.Dana is awesome … that lemon spear a lot of time, effort, stress, problems and in the end of the day a lot of money. Thank you guys, everyone who wants to practice proper swing should watch it ,again and again …
Well damn. Right shoulder and hip high in the downswing... Never would of thought that. I see what you mean by feeling like it would be massively over the top, I was doing the same as you, kept tilting and dropping the right shoulder for sidebend. That's what you see in all the videos. Going to try this out and see where it goes.
I honestly feel like the end goal of this lesson is to have a swing that looks like George Bryan's. There were a few of your swings that looked really close to his swing, & that's the swing that we ALL are chasing! Keep it up, J, you're getting closer every day!! Big W
Quick question doesn’t this contradict the first lesson with Dana? I thought he stated do not tilt on the down swing but says otherwise in this one. Can anyone explain?
You're doing great. Training new movement patterns is very hard and if anyone neglects practicing them for just a few days you can slide back into old habits. Progress isn't linear, but you're on the way to the moon.
It would be so awesome to see a video with all the definitions and positions because sometimes when the coaches speaking, I’m lost in what he’s talking about!
Good stuff! My question is? with all of the Elite level instruction you are given are you trying to repeat what is taught by feel? if so can you feel the correction or do you just revert to memory of what is shown? As a fellow Pinoy Im grinding right along with you in this journey. Current Handicap 5.4 for some reason i cant get past a5 lol
For me it’s a combination but mainly the way I learn best is to learn all the technicalities of a swing like why does this happen based on x so that when I’m practicing and I lose my “feel” I just revert back to understanding what Dana teaches me how the body moves and what causes what so I can self correct. Mainly the reason I ask so many questions
Was that lesson in February? Dana said genesis’ week 👀! Why haven’t you posted your best round? Dana’s lessons are the best! I haven’t found a decent coach and I’ve learned more watching these lessons 👍🏻
Hello Jérôme, j'aimerais tellement des sous titres en français 😊 Cette leçon semble parfaite pour moi mais je ne saisis pas toutes les subtilités des conseils.
Hey Jerome, FYI if you pay close attention, in the background you'll notice this lurker behind you and Dana throughout the video mooching a free lesson!!
Free TIP: When you are working on one thing, just work on that thing instead of asking 4 follow up questions about what other body parts should be doing. You need to develop a feel or a thought to do the thing you are working on correctly before moving in to something else. I know your brain is super active all the time and new questions and thoughts just pop up, but you gotta resist that temptation and stick to the task at hand. Hope that's helpful for you.
I agree 100%. I’ve said this earlier about him where he is an engineer so he needs to know the why and is not a feel person. I believe thats why he may forgot the why instruction after he goes on his own and leaves the instructor.
ok, I'm lost now. in previous episodes didn't Dana want You to side bent your torso and rotate your pelvis? And now side bent is bad move? What am I missing?
The way I’m side bending previously was wrong. I interpreted it as leaning back and forcing my side to go backwards rather than stay on a plane that naturally “bends” my side
I agree little confusing because the previous videos he talked about your shoulders tilting back like a Ferris wheel as your hips clear out of the way now he wants your shoulders to keep the angle on it so it’s a little confusing
No geese were hurt in this video.😂 Now I know what they mean when they say "the goose is good for the gander" because they ate that and kept gandering 😂😂😂
Great videos, thanks for putting up all the lessons :). The last few videos have been brilliant as I feel its easy to understand the way jts being coached to you..I've been looking at them and practicing what you have been thought up until this video and it has improved my irons. I was confused watching this when you were told that the side bend after the backswing should not be manufactured by dropping the right shoulder and the shoulder tilt should be kept instead. I was convinced you were told previously to drop the right shoulder as thats what I got from watching the lesson also. I went back and fould the part where you were told to drop the right shoulder for side bend in the below video. Its at 20.33 where its about creating side bend. Is that not a contradiction to this video? Genuine question because Ive been practicing the manufactured side bend as shown in the video below :/ ruclips.net/video/EdHqc7EarD0/видео.htmlsi=JHC0B14dIrnJHkrs
If you don’t mind just keep these Dana videos coming. The apply directly to me!
Don’t intend to stop posting all my lessons for all of you :)

I believe Viktor is working with Grant Waite.
@@craigg2058 well I at least saw Dana talk to Viktor for a while in the short game area and in a golf cart with Viktor’s caddy.
Glad they have helped!!
I saw him on the range with Viktor.
@@braedenlane no doubt, I’m just saying Viktors coach is Grant Waite.
finally it looks like a golf swing , and not trying the swing your arms as fast as possible. Excellent!!

Good progression! You are trending! 📈
Another epic lesson.
I found this to help my swing and contact the best.
Damn!!! Idk if it’s because of Dana but your changes at the top is giving me Drew Cooper vibes!!! Swing looking good my guy!!!!
Wow well done
Top coach!

How did you get your knees square by P5 (left arm parrallel on down swing) so easy?

@@JeromeRufin Yea notice he has to pull the reigns on you with the swing thoughts. Sometimes keep it simple stupid is the best way. but I get it 100%

California! 9 in the US

I swear he had a different explanation of side bend 3 videos ago
i see a mark!
How much money have you spent on lessons ? Just curious cause it’s gotta be a lot
Knowing what some other similar prestige coaches charge, I'd guess he's dropping between $350 and $500 an hour.
Okay so like I thought he’s spent atleast 10k or up
I wonder how long Dana is going to ride this pony?
Until at least this pony gets to scratch or dies lol
Too many things to think about
whos the coach?
Sweep the club Daniel Son.
If by 12/31/24 I don’t get a hole out or hole in one, I’m unsubscribing Jerome!! 😂
Haha I believe !!!! Let’s go
"I should of shot 79 but I got 87"
Classic golfer haha. I deserved an 87 lol
How much did all these lessons with him cost you, please be honest
ducks are too close damn
😂😂
First
GSnap man….
They say golf is not a game of perfect but man, you sure have to do a lot damn near perfect to play this game consistently well....ugh
I see you name drop Bryson but don't name your coach...
stop with the bullet points, super annoying
Is it me ? Or does your club face look closed at top of swing ? Compared to the fleetwood fella.
