I'm 21 weeks pregnant with a 18 month old and I'm feeling exactly the same as you. To be honest I am finding following you very comforting at the moment because I know that no matter how hard it gets, other mums have survived it too 😂🎉 Solidarity!

Can I just say, G is amazing and so adorable. I have a 3 ( nearly 4) year old. Watching this reminds me of that two year old stage, it was adorable but of course very challenging at times. You’re an amazing mum ❤

I just discovered your channel! I love it. I'm due in March with number 6 and I'm in the USA. What a sweet boy you have! And congrats on being pregnant 😍❤️ three more kids you have, the crazier yet easier it gets.

I have a 2 and 5 year old. I let my 5 year old ride her scooter to school today and my 2 year old push her dolls pram. The stress was real 😂 one too far infront and the other way behind. It can be a struggle but I think your older one learns to be more patient and your second born doesn’t know any different.
Two is defiantly more stressful but seeing them together makes every bit worth it.
I had a buggy board but hardly used it as my daughter always wanted to walk but I know people that love them.
Like you my firstborn qualified for the 30 hrs free childcare when I was on maternity. That defiantly helps.
I found my second child easier as I knew what to expect (it didn’t hit me like my first).
Everything will just be a new normal in no time.
You are a great mum, I can’t wait to watch your family grow ❤
    X

I became a mum of 2 in October and my eldest is a few months younger than George. One thing I wasn't prepared for was the mum guilt I felt when I brought my youngest home and I saw how much it was affecting my eldest. He was excited and loved seeing him in hospital, but the reality got when he came home, and he realised his life had completely changed and all the attention is no longer purely on him.
Try to get him involved as much as possible with his sibling, such as asking him to pass a nappy, choose a book to read to him and things like that. Also prepare him for the fact his sibling will cry, and cry ALOT. My eldest got so upset when his brother cried, and he thought he'd made him really upset the day we brought him home and was inconsolable. The jealousy is real! I know not all children are the same, so George might be fine, but mine got so jealous and demanded a Cuddle from whoever was holding his brother, even if we passed his brother to another person he'd then turn to that person for a Cuddle, just be prepared for that.
I still haven't mastered going out with them both on my own, it always ends up in tears all round. I've tried my youngest in a pram and a baby carrier, a double pram and it has always been hard work. Maybe get some advice off someone on how they do it, because I still don't feel confident taking them both out on my own and with you being alone alot you will really need to be prepared xx

Sorry I've painted it like it's been an awful experience, it's not. My eldest loves his little brother, and seeing him Cuddle him and saying hi to him when he sees him really makes it all worth it. This is the hard part, but it will all be worth it when they're a bit older and are best friends.

I've got a 6 year old, 4 year old and soon to be 1 year old.
I was an only child for a while (until I got a 3 year old step brother at 8) and I remember feeling like that.
My 4 year old starts school in September(which feels mad!) And I'm so excited she'll get to play with her sister and have lunch with her sister.
The Donna or carrier comes in handy at the start, it's definitely an adjustment at first but slowly it all fits together and you find your new way and you can't remember a time before them.
    You'll be amazing x

I will say "terrible twos" are hard but so cute, but 3 threenager is something else...my four year old is coming out of it. My first was pretty easy but when she hit 3 its the independent stage where they want to do and control so much more and they "back chat" more it's definitely tiring. My 4 year old is in the right and wrong stage so she's telling us lots of rules and really changing out of that little kids phase. The 6 year old turned into an I'm a really big phase and knows everything like a mini teenager and she was actually harder than the 4 year old at times.
It definitely ebs and flows parenthood.
Our nearly year old is in a really sweet spot as he's not walking or talking yet 😄
But all ages have good and bad parts, they make you want to pull your teeth out and make your heart burst with happiness.
I will say rest rest rest rest rest as much as you can when baby is here and cuddle them as much as you want as they are teeny for so short a time.
Buggy board is so handy, double buggy is great occasionally but probably not worth the cost unless you can get cheap one

You’ll be fine with two! I had the same logistical worries but it’s great to have a buggy to carry all the ‘stuff’. My son loves the buggy board - more than he liked the pram. I thought I’d need one with a seat but he just loves cruising and chatting to me.
I have a 2y5m gap and a dog and we honestly love our park trips and dog walks together. I totally understand what you mean about giving them pockets of time when they feel they call the shots. Honestly, two is an adjustment but it’s also nice to not have all of your focus on just one child. I find that I don’t sweat the smaller stuff so much because there just isn’t time!
Good luck Shan, you’ll love it x

Totally agree. I'm a mum of a 3 year old and a 4 month old. I use the sling alot at the moment and that helps so much. It's so worth all the lack of sleep when you see them together It's the best thing ull ever see. I try and my life as easy as possible and prep for the next day. Sometimes u just gotta have a pj day and Disney and reset lol. So excited for you all 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥳🥳🥳🥳

I can totally sympathize with being a working mum and having to take time off work when your child is sick, similar to you my partner works away (military) and with no network of support or family I end up stuck when my little one is sick and have to take time off. Do you take it as unpaid leave? Or annual leave? I feel such guilt too and worry about loosing the career I’ve worked so hard to build but we really have no choice as lone working mum’s. You are such a comfort and inspiration.. please make more ditl videos they are the best, so relatable ❤️ xx

My oldest was 2 yrs, 3 months when her sister was born. We had both a buggy board and a double. Buggy. I’m so grateful I had the double, we used it daily! Still sometimes use it now and they are 2 and 4. My oldest was okay on the buggy board for short trips but longer walks and days out hated it. So I totally recommend a double buggy (love my Baby jogger city mini double, still easily fits my 4 yr old) xxxx

The first two months are difficult but 2 but it gets so simple after awhile. My hardest part was my youngest is breastfed and I didn’t like feeing out in public but now she’s 14months and I don’t care. We have icandy and it’s really good which came with buggy bored. It’s a really good to have the second seat as an option. My eldest daughter is 4 in march so I know she won’t be using it much more. My girls have the same age gap as yours will be. It’s nice ❤️ you’ll do it..all the best x

You will find your on grove with 2 but it is daunting the thought of it. Mine are 3 years apart and I knew my 3 year old wouldn’t sit in a buggy that was meant for her so I bought the buggy board which she loved for a month or so but doesn’t like anymore however I always take the baby’s buggy and a wrap out with me so if she gets really tired on walks she can jump in buggy and I wrap the baby however I would say she doesn’t always want to go in but will if I say I can’t carry her. I would personally only buy a double buggy if you know George would sit in it but maybe a good alternative is the ones like bugaboo that you can adapt depending on the situation

There’s 21 months between my 2 and you honestly find your groove so quick and what works for you, in the beginning I used the baby carrier and a stroller, then I ended up getting a double buggy, I try and limit going shopping with just my youngest whilst eldest is at nursery it’s just so much easier 😅 xx

@@HomeWithShan Yesss. Another recommendation for the Joie Evalite here. It's brilliant! I thought we could make do without a double buggy when we had our second (2 year 8 month age gap) but it's my biggest regret because I felt stuck in the house for many months with the baby and toddler after many instances of toddler refusing to walk and really struggling to get us all home! (Novelty wore off with the buggy board very quickly. It's useless when their little legs are genuinely tired). The double has been a god send already with my third 😊 They both love it Xxx

We have 3 and our youngest 2 have a similar age gap to what yours will have. We were the same not wanting a double buggy and thinking about a buggy board but once baby came we bought a double buggy within weeks haha! It is SO much easier especially on days out as our now 4 year old still won't walk all day and we would end up carrying her around. You'll be surprised how quickly they slot into your life but it is HARD. Ours are 4 and 2 now (girls) and the fights already I was not expecting 😂

I didn’t on this day - honestly I tend to take Molly (dog!) out for a walk on my lunch breaks from work when I’m working from home and when George is at nursery as it’s so much easier. Other times, we all go out in the evenings after George is back from nursery and I’m finished work. Much prefer weekend walks when my husband is around though!! Xxxx
