FOR THOSE WONDERING HOW TO PARRY YOU MUST TAP FORWARD RIGHT WHEN THE ATTACK HITS YOU!!! I DONT EXACTLY KNOW THE FRAME DATA ON THE THING BUT TAPPING FORWARD IS HOW YOU PARRY!!! YOU CAN ALSO PARRY IN AIR AS WELL!!! HAVE A GOOD DAY AND HOPEFULLY ONE DAY YOU CAN DAIGO PARRY!!!
"Parrying" is the name Capcom gave it outside of Japan. In Japan, they call it "blocking", which is why the basketball bonus games in the Japanese version notoriously show "Let's BLOCKING" before it starts (elsewhere it's "Let's Practice PARRYING"). As for the "Tech" reference, basically it's just bonus tech points for doing something special against a move. In the SFZ or SFA series, give or take Marvel crossovers, you'd see this when you stop or soften a throw.
it says Tech in SF3:3rdStrike as it counts towards the post-fight scoring system in the Tech category. other Techs are things like countering a throw or performing a QuickRise on knockdown.
Denjin is actually 5 hits if you charge it fast enough by moving the dpad around. Edit: yup, just went into training mode with denjin ryu. Moved the dpad around really fast and he did 5 hits.
@@chungboislim2061 idk, it's the same as mashing out of stun I think. I saw it from japenese Ryu players. They usually hit low or high and cancel a hadouken into denjin. The fast charge is used so they can get that sweet stun combo.
This is good for learning how to parry projectiles but if you wanna learn to parry ur opponents normals you gotta just go online or find a buddy to play with and make attempts at it
I like this for starters but you should use remmy instead and add low sonic booms for low parry as well. I've noticed a lot of people don't know how to low Parry and all they have to do is press down instead of forward.
For new comers, to parry you TAP forward at the moment an attack would hit you. If its a low attack TAP down at the moment of impact. The timing is hard to get used to but play in training mode to get used to it. Yes this video didn't help me either.
if there weren't so many sarcastic dicks in fighting games when it comes to someone asking how to do something such as a specific move as help maybe the fighting genre would have an overwhelmingly outstanding amount of people playing them like they do cod and all the other games out there. that's why I take the liberty to teach people how to play. its the community that hold the fighting genre back. maybe there would be more people to give these hands to.
I guess you are using the 30th anniversary version I heard bad things about it Things like "you can't config buttons,it has bugs, bad port to play,no online player" are they true I'm a beginner with a bad pc and sf3 looked interesting to me I failed using an emulator but I still want to play it also steam requirements say you need a 3.0ghz cpu minimum is it true mine is only 2.4ghz
Thank you guys for helping this blow up, I hope you all learned something and enjoy my other content. Stay safe and go parry like Daigo 2.0!
Sorry for the crazy mic audio btw, I've upgraded since this
Can you tell me how you have a training mode in sf3 and a pause menu?
@@theozzyshow937 i have arcade version
@@lbad_2568 I’m so sorry it’s almost been a year that I haven’t replied but it’s because I play on the 30th Anniversary collection version

Don't forget crouching! In order to parry crouching you must tap down before the attack hits you!
Your comment ia what the video should have been about. Thank you so much for your crystal clear explanation!

So if western parrying is blocking in Japan, what is western blocking called in Japan?
@@whirl3690 Blocking (overseas) is known in Japan as guarding.
Yea I never knew what tech meant
Been recently playing 3rd Strike again & I've always struggled getting the parries down. Thank you very much for the tutorial

I didn't know that, is it just the control stick or are you supposed to mash other buttons too?

Could also save when you get to the parry game and keep loading it back
The taunt idea is such a cool and smart one
I didn't understand the point of the taunt, is it to mixup the timing?

Well done the next step would be all red fireballs and try to red parry them crounching and standing.
Got it👍

What button do you push while holding back to parry ?
You gotta go all the way forward
@@theozzyshow937 so parrying is moving forward and regular block is moving backwards
Forward press is for parrying standing hits and pressing down in time is to parry low attacks.
