Fun fact: Akuma was actually in Street Fighter 2 the animated movie. If you watch closely to what's actually going on while Dhalsim is fighting and senses a power after Ryu is already in the vicinity. It wasn't Ryu he was sensing. It was Akuma.
@@Wrekkshoppe yeah back when street fighter didnt really know what to do with itself. in the story we didnt even know sagats ties to shadaloo other than hes the 2nd-to-last boss. and his endings gave the indication he's only with bison JUST to fight ryu. in most media he was just a straight villain. sf2 takes place AFTER alpha 3 (the canon midquel between 1 and 2) which gave context to wanting to rematch ryu, realizing that beating ryu alone wouldnt fix his pride, leaves shadaloo and is now in sf2 seeking a clean fight with ryu. all of that was in the alpha series, well after sf2.
But done right with no rushed and edited sloppy art scenes , it's like I give the creators props for creating great characters but at the same time they play them at their wrong natural position
I don't get why people insist on calling Akuma "evil". Bison is evil, a pure psychopath. Akuma is just a dark force of nature, but he has honor and principals. Nothing evil about that.

This is what breaks Akuma being Ryu's dad. If Ryu was his son he would've been already at the dojo of gouken. Not left there on the steps of Gouken's temple. It would've been said Akuma's girl left him there. But it doesn't. Ryu is not the son of Akuma because of that part. But. It IS the most liked by fans for akuma to be Ryu's dad.

Street fighter and Baki need to have a cross over, and specifically akuma vs yujiro and akuma learning ki n stuff, even tho they would have to take base akuma because that’s the only akuma that’s weak enough to go toe to toe with yujiro who is basically just a human on steroids😭, but I feel like base yujiro would beat base akuma, due to him being able to copy everything akuma knows and master it perfectly(including the satsui no hado), and him knowing every martial art in human history and having stats that are roughly even
