Just found these guys, and as a sometimes sound guy, I thank you for the shout out to the audio guys! Just wish I wasn't listening on my laptop right now. Cheers
These guys are flying at a Little Feat/ Tedeschi-Trucks level. They put tears in my eyes, make the hair on my arms rise up and praise the sky. Thank you Winnipeg. Ya done good.

Little Feat meets Hall & Oates OMG why am I never heard of this group. Incredible incredible musicianship first of all. And Ariel Posen WTF he can rip. Blessed mercy.
Just got turned onto to this band during lockdown and I can't stop listening to them. Need a "LIVE" fix soon please.......Screamin out the window, wishin you coulda fixed me......epic.
My last name is Landreth, too, but I can't for the life of me figure out how we're related. I understand three brothers came over from Scotland/England way back in the 1600's or 1700's. Rumor is they landed in the Middle Atlantic states (Baltimore or Philadelphia?) and one went north, one went west and one went south. I'm from the southern branch.
Saw these guys live at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville. John Oates from Hall & Oates offered to be their opening act. Pretty spectacular night.Bought the “Let it be” LP and I still listen to it often. Smooth grooves great harmonies solid guitar and bass work.
I lived in Winnipeg from Feb 2014 to Feb 2016 and didn't even know these guys existed. I'm so sad that I'm just discovering them now. I'm now at peak obsession. So damn good. Joey is playing in Ottawa next weekend at the NAC and I'm totally in.
Dave and Joey are killing it! Just saw them in Calgary. I'm an instant fan. Who it's keeping them from hitting the big time? The sky's the limit for these guys. Hold on for the lift off Brothers!!! 👍👏🦅
A recent discovery for me. Enjoying this very much. "Let It Lie" is a Great Song!! Great band and very tasty playing and vocals, letting the songs be songs instead of guitar showcases (despite the amazing guitar chops between Joey and Ariel). "Let It Lie" jumps out at me, and is, imo, in a class of all-time great songs.
Come on guys there are Riding Mountains, Duck Mountains-- not what most people think about when they hear "Mountain" but CERTAINLY not flat. Beautiful areas and you didn't mention the many lakes in Manitoba. Fly-in fishing, big game hunting. Fishing pretty well anywhere you want to really. Starting to wonder if Joey ever set foot out side of Winnipeg, Manitoba's city limits!! Manitoba has a wide variety of different landscapes. Lake Winnipeg-10TH largest fresh-water lake in the world. Prairie to the west, Canadian shield to the east with countless beautiful lakes and forest, salt water ocean to the North, etc.
both fender stratocaster... not sure about the main singer's, because it doesn't say fender on the headstock, but it's a strat shape anyway... with unorthodox pickups indeed, no clue what they are... then he switches to a duesenberg, as the other guitarist uses a lap steel guitar (also a duesenberg i believe) and then a gibson ES335 at the end.. as for the bass, it looks like a fender precision bass =)
the further north a culture is the more polite you are. learned behavior from generations gone by. the guy who was an ahole got kicked out of the cave and froze to death. in warmer climes you would just go eat some berries over the next hill.
Audio/musicianship is wonderful. Video would be much more enjoyable if camera didn’t jump/change images so often. Sort of dizzying and not sure what purpose it serves? Also, really miss not seeing full view of person playing instrument. All the “face only” shots and closeups of “one hand only” on guitarists diminishes the awesome show that you captured.experience. Just one opinion. Thanks for creating and sharing!
RadioSkipsHD seriously..... what a serious crappy comment. Is it so difficult to enjoy and respect an amazing band and amazing musicians. I highly like and respect JM, but who should give him permission?
I like vinegar based BBQ sauce 😁 These guy's are good but a little to tame and white bread for my taste The musicality is there no doubt though Good stuff
Audio Engineer deserves much credit!
Just found these guys, and as a sometimes sound guy, I thank you for the shout out to the audio guys! Just wish I wasn't listening on my laptop right now. Cheers
Shame they don’t mention his or her name.
I came here to say this. I'm a sound engineer myself. I'm really into this mix. Really adds some shine to a really good performance.
Agree
Incredibly punchy. That snare...
Those harmonies are sublime. Superb musicianship all round.
Ariel Posen on guitar also? Awesome
It's cool to see Joey and Ariel playing together. Two monster players!
I would love to see them playing together again
These guys are flying at a Little Feat/ Tedeschi-Trucks level. They put tears in my eyes, make the hair on my arms rise up and praise the sky. Thank you Winnipeg. Ya done good.
Yeah! Joey mentioned that Derek is one of his big influences and you can hear a little of that come out during his solo here. Great sound!
Lot of Lowell George in that voice, awesome!
Yeah these guys are freaks....so good! Great songs, great over the top vocals and musicianship.....I hope we have them a long time
Love the birdland quote! How did I not catch this performance long ago?!!!

Thanks for the track listing (the fish & chips saga was pure filler and skippable) but the show was otherwise excellent.
O incontornável "Tappin' on the Glass".
@@isaacbras7894 estás por aqui?
Can't believe that I've only just discovered these guys.....brilliant!
Right??!!
The sound quality of an album with the unquantifiable magic of great musicians playing together. Fabulous.
Can you imagine being so good that Ariel Posen plays rhythm guitar for you!!!! Wow!
I had the opportunity to ask Ariel "How many of those Bros Landreth Licks did you write?" He answered as humbly as he could;
"A couple."
Awesome on every level. Great playing, great songs, band are on it, sound is spectacular, passion in spades. Love em!
This is a masterclass.
Little Feat meets Hall & Oates OMG why am I never heard of this group. Incredible incredible musicianship first of all. And Ariel Posen WTF he can rip. Blessed mercy.
What a great band
As Ian noted three years ago, these guys definitely have a Lowell George/Little Feat flavour, wonderful!
Just got turned onto to this band during lockdown and I can't stop listening to them. Need a "LIVE" fix soon please.......Screamin out the window, wishin you coulda fixed me......epic.
When you find a new band you can't get enough of and then have a family member say you're related to them...
Jesse Landreth - Nooooo!!!!
Fo real???
These guys are top shelf!
boss!
Say hi to your Dad, Sonny :-)

WOW! What is that? Country, Jazz or simply very, very good music?
Goosebumps.
Never heard of them.
Great band!
Can’t wait to see these guys live next month 👍👍
still gives me goosebumps. OUTSTANDING BAND
Ariel Posen!!!!!! ...... no words ... whole band is on it.... hittin the note.... wow!
I love this. Reminds me of the first few John Mayer albums before he started leaning into his blues phase. Gives me “why Georgia” vibes.
Such an excellent band!
Great material, playing and vocals
Top notch...
Pete Woodroffe Music UK
I keep coming back to this video. Definitely going to see these guys when they hit Pittsburgh again.
This is just so good, masters of their craft. Beautifully composed.
Awesome Band! Definitely looking up more of their 🎶
One of the best bands ever!
I love 'em!!!
This is really great, that 1st tune is like a more soulful , slightly more "out there" John Mayer -"I don't trust myself with loving you"
This fresh discovered band changed my afternoon. 😎🤘🏾
Soulful to the max!
bonnie raitt just released her own version off her upcoming new album. thats some kind of killer endorsement!!!!
Such a great performance, smart and powerful grooves and sounds ...!!! Thank you and keep on rollin' ... Love and peace ...
ah Wonderful ampersand Amazing combo !!!! hope to hear you ALL here in Cincy OH ✌️ soon 👍
Saw these guys live at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville. John Oates from Hall & Oates offered to be their opening act. Pretty spectacular night.Bought the “Let it be” LP and I still listen to it often. Smooth grooves great harmonies solid guitar and bass work.
One of my favourite albums of recent years “Let it Lie” and now “‘87”
I lived in Winnipeg from Feb 2014 to Feb 2016 and didn't even know these guys existed. I'm so sad that I'm just discovering them now. I'm now at peak obsession. So damn good. Joey is playing in Ottawa next weekend at the NAC and I'm totally in.
Thanks guys... just wow man

Can't wait to see them again. It has been too long.

This is top class!
Joey's vocals sounds like Jackson Browne to me,great stuff !
I thought the same thing. Jackson Browne with a touch of Daryl Hall.
Im hearin' Lowell George...
Absolutely unbelievable.
It's been nearly 30 years since I was in Winnipeg. Cool downtown mall with skyways and a good dim sum place nearby.
Outstanding band!
When you find the third corner of a triangle, starting with Eagles and Tedeschi Trucks.
Wonderful!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Wow. So good. Can't wait for them to tour again. Come to the DC area boys!
next fan! can‘t wait for a concert in europe!!

That deusenberg on the 3rd track is epic.
Ariel Posen just like “you say when and where.”

Awesome Stuff! So glad @coryjwong brought @arielposen and you guys on my radar... I'm a fan
Who’s the pedal steel player, please? And what model of Duisenberg is Joey playing?
that Weather Report nod at 26:10 🔥
Remind me of steely dan.Honest!!
💯🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💪🍀👍👋👋👋👋👋💯
Joey can sing his fucking ass off. It's rediculous to be that great on guitar, AND be a KILLIN singer too.
Hmmmm .. new fan here 😎
😊👍🦃🙏🙏🙏
That conversation about food after the first song was so adorably awkward
the weed is strong @ the studio :D

Weather Report quote. :)
Reminds me of John Mayer....
so they're all brothers ?
NC barbecue is the best. Got to use cole slaw.
What are those guitars?
both fender stratocaster... not sure about the main singer's, because it doesn't say fender on the headstock, but it's a strat shape anyway... with unorthodox pickups indeed, no clue what they are... then he switches to a duesenberg, as the other guitarist uses a lap steel guitar (also a duesenberg i believe) and then a gibson ES335 at the end.. as for the bass, it looks like a fender precision bass =)
actually the pickups on the strats look like lollar gold foils, or maybe teisco, like the ones ry cooder uses, they look alike anyway
Joey use a DIY
Joey owns a suhr stratocaster, might be something along that line?
great music and sound, awkward host

Aka ‘I don’t trust myself’
Have you seen the clip where Ariel plays that actual riff in the intro as sort of a tribute? They know :p
@@Umuliuz where is that?
.even.the.Strats.are.related.?.
Did John Mayer give you permission for this?

+RadioSkipsHD The ULTIMATE in crap comment. GROW UP!
RadioSkipsHD seriously..... what a serious crappy comment. Is it so difficult to enjoy and respect an amazing band and amazing musicians. I highly like and respect JM, but who should give him permission?
this music and voice is better, but there is straight up
jminfluence here no doubt
The whole band is so good, but Ariel Posen rips.
I like vinegar based BBQ sauce 😁 These guy's are good but a little to tame and white bread for my taste The musicality is there no doubt though Good stuff
Ok I like the first song but if I was John Mayer I’d be like 🤔
Canada is better than us at music.
Joel Middaugh I think the climate makes you spend more time inside...
@@prsfan01 - thank you, maybe not better, just overlooked, Big Wreck / Ian Thornley just such an example
They aré amazing, the interviewer not so much....
This host is so annoyingly agreeable
