Not to be 'that guy' and give you the old 'well actually' bit, but I'm pretty sure Ariel is in E standard here. I love what he does in B standard, but I don't believe he used that tuning with the Bros. I recall hearing in an interview that he always played in standard while Joey was in open C for this lineup. Watching his fingers on a couple tunes I've picked up pieces of it seems that is the case here. So yeah, please don't take this as me being a jerk about it or anything, but in case the info is useful to someone I'm pretty sure that's what is going on here.
I've listened to a lot of music in my 56 years, and this is some of the best I've heard. The band just kills it, and Joey is such a great player and singer. I can't get enough.
49:21 Dave, an elite musician in his own right, looks on smiling as his brother, Joey, locks in with one of a few guitarist on the planet who can hold a candle to Joey. Ariel and Joey are clearly enjoying the moment. That is a special, special, musical moment right there. I hope they play together again sometime.
I’m late to the party but this is some of the best music I’ve listened to in years. Haven’t been able stop rotating Let it Lie since I downloaded it. One of the best collection of songs in my library.
Did anyone else notice the John Mayer ("I don't trust myself") reference at the beginning of Made Up Mind (at around 19:23)? 😁 Love that they did this!
Ha! I actually just went looking for that John Mayer song, because I was sure they'd copped it. That said, I've heard them do that riff before in this song, so I'm not sure if it's a brazen borrow or just a casual nod. All's fair in love, war, and music. 😉 Cheers!
@@Gutierrez_Felipe Fala brother, sonzera, sou fãzasso! É minha banda favorita, sensacional as canções. Os caras estão nos projetos solos, mas quando pintou este vídeo aí já corri pra conferir. Muito bom, abraço. Curta o som aí, top demais!
Get back soon. Back as The Bros, that is :-) And btw, you 2, 6 stringers, gets so much credit (and you deserve it) but also great respect to the bass bro and drum bro - they kill it...
We probably opened over 500 shows with that track. We've moved on just because we felt like we HAD to, but have yet to find a song that starts a show better than that one!
@@Thebroslandreth Understandable, sometimes you just have to switch things up to keep it interesting. I’m 16, I discovered your music through That Pedal Show and the Carter Vintage videos, and i’m amazed. You and Ariel changed the way I look at slide forever, and your music has found a special place in my heart. Thank you.
Joey coming out swinging vocally. Love it. Keeping emotion and feeling in your show with the tune where you break it down. You can people feel, make em cry, you got fans for life. You don't need sunglasses and slick hair. ✌️ When is the tour supporting Bonnie Raitt? Shoulda happened already.
I really....really wish you would re-upload this at a higher volume level IF you can. When I have this up loud enough to enjoy and a commercial comes on it nearly blows my speakers.
Just a fantastic band.....saw Ariel and Joey on the UK solo tours last couple of months. The skills they have a in my opinion unrivalled at the moment. Great songs, great guitar playing and great guys. Love to see the bros landreth in the UK at some point. Love Joey's reaction to his little miss placed notes at 1:01:29 Great stuff guys!
I was aware of Ariel before I'd heard of this band, and it's weird to see him sort of taking a backseat to Joey when I regard him as one of the greatest guitarists I've ever heard -- but shit! Joey is just as good!
Joey's voice reminds me steve wonder, doyle bramhall and jackson browne all together, really awesome, not to mention the guitar sound and the overall band sound its all amazing
Not quite sure how much TTB inspired them but as a HUGE TTB fan I've been pining for years that The Bros. Landreth would open for them. I'm pretty sure that TTB's following would eat them up and cry for more.
As much as I love both Joey’s and Ariel solo stuff (and I really do) it’s always a real treat to see Bros. stuff.
fully agree
I used to feel like that until I got Joey's Hindsight album. I think it's the best thing in their collective catalog.
@@mightysnoro Interesting. I may have to investigate and report!
@@Ozzy6 please do!
@@mightysnoro Agreed - it's an excellent album! Not better than Let it Lie - but very very good!
I love how the bass player comes out in the beginning, grabs his water bottle, and then immediately drops it so as to not miss the opening note!
'I think I'll drink some water while the guys are s... oh crap! *bummm*'
Love the John Mayer fakeout at 19:05
😂😂😂
XD
Very tasty
2 guitar blues giants of our days in one stage - how can it be better ?
They're all so happy together on stage. That's why they sound so good - they know how to complement each other in their playing
This was a fun one because we hadn't been on stage together for quite some time before this show.
Brilliant Paul McCartney/Wings cover, my mom passed one year ago and we used to listen to that song thank you so much ❤
Those are some grown-up tones and epic playing!!
Joey- Open C Ariel- Standard B David- BEAD on the bass. What a killer combo of unique voices.
U got some good ears

Not to pile on here, but with all respect that posted above invoked, the bass player is in E standard.

You should listen to “The Marcus King Band” as well then
@@markverster3827 I’ve listened to Marcus King too, great player and singer!
What a great drummer. Plays from his shoulders and his hips. Great to watch and keeps it nice and simple.
A Groovemeister no less!
Yep, hes right in the groove!
completely agree. drummers like this are rare
This is some 1st class music for our earholes. Thank You The Bros. Landreth
34:55 - really nice to know even the masters forget to move their capo sometimes :)
I've had exactly the same thought! Made me smile ahah
@@bennyv9897 I was like, ehh? ohh? done moving on.
Where in the hell, have I been the past several years…you guys are simply fantastic musicians, LOVE your work.
I just heard of Joey Landreth through TPS about 6 months ago. Just bought tickets today to see Brothers Landreth on Oct 27. : )
My god, every time I listen to this rendition of Greenhouse I'm in tears. It's just so gorgeous and painful.
Always a pleasure. Get to UK SOON please
Sounds like your wish has been granted... :-)
How often do you hear a band and love EVERY SONG THEY PLAY!

The best thing I have watched in a very, very long time
Phenomenal show. One of the best! Wish the audio was louder!!
Wonderful to enjoy your success.
35:02 Opps wrong key - no one noticed, move the capo and carry on ;)
Damn, Joey's voice was on fire that day.
Re upload at right volume, thanks :) See you in DK Joey
