    If you place the Sun in front of you, being "you" the videographer you will get reflections of the dome disc and also flares... do not do that without first checking for these.
    Polycarbonate domes tend to scratch very easily and it ruins a lot of footage.
    The Sun shall always be in the line behind the vertical plane of the base of the dome. The subject, however, should be lit from front or sideways :)

    #6 put a layer of shower gel or something so you don't get those drops of water on the top view. (Thanks Chris Rogers)

      Joe Oceanside to be honest, I like everything related to diving, but content that has anything to do with scuba diving is my favourite.

      No I need to try something, Rain X maybe?? I saw on a Peter McKinnon video Chris Hau used ear wax.... gross.

    Many of the reviews I read said the integrated housing was too large and they had issues pressing the top button. Did you experience any of that?

    • @JoeOceanside
      @JoeOceanside  4 года назад +2

      I had issues hitting the record button while using the handle and trigger mechanism that came with the dome housing. I removed the trigger mechanism because it obstructed the screen as well. Without the trigger mechanism it still requires a firm press but it was reliable. I did not try it any deeper than 15 feet, so it may have problems at depth I am not aware of. Thanks for watching!

  • @basildubose
    @basildubose 2 года назад

    could you mount that to a diving/lighting stablizer tray if you don't connect the trigger handle? such as the hand grip two handle tray you show in your other video

    Great works bro. I have 1 question. If we put red filter inside the dome. It suitable or not ? Or better didn't put. Tq.

    • @JoeOceanside
      @JoeOceanside  4 года назад +1

      I only use the dome port for the surface level over/under shots which is too shallow to use a redfilter anyway. If you were using it for scuba, then a red filter could help you but I do not think you can fit it in this housing anyway. For red filters I would just use the regular Gopro super suit. ruclips.net/video/SY3hts96Xsg/видео.html

    • @JoeOceanside

      The dome itself will be the only additional layer of glass/polycarbonate added to the view of the lens.

      This Telesin dome has it's own waterproof case built onto it. So you would not need another case for it. Thanks for watching!

    • @JoeOceanside

      Hi thanks for watching! No, in this footage I did not use any filter. Just try to keep the dome port clean. Red filter would only be used when deep underwater where the red light cannot penetrate. Hope this answer helps

    I'd rather have my gopro go towards the surface than sink to the bottom if I happen to let go.

      Yeah, its not so bad to go up instead of down. Thanks for watching

    • @SethSetiadha
      @SethSetiadha 4 года назад

      the point is, is not where it's supposed to sink or go towards the surface when you lost your grip. but when you're using it either when you do scubadive or duck dive while snorkeling, it won't pull you up too much. photo/videographer always trying to keep their camera buoyancy neutral.

      Which part of the editing process do you find challenging?

    • @nes.torfernandez
      @nes.torfernandez 4 года назад

      Joe Oceanside color grading is one! I tried to shoot in a flat profile I don’t do macro or anything like that more like the style of example footage you use on this video kinda cinematic. Also Is very harder to use the wrap stabilization it just crop in any direction giving me most of the time about 20% of the frame. Buoyancy control will help also maybe put the camera on the ocean ground but 🤷🏻‍♂️
