Hey Eddbud & community, what's a good road run X office shoe ? I'm thinking Pegasus or Adizero SL. Cause they're cost effective to replace since the foam will likely die quicker.
Edd, Just a small, random note from a subscriber. Your channel is appreciated. I love the creativity and humor in your videos. I've been a subscriber since early 2020. Congrats 50K subs!
My go to speed shoes are the Adios Pro 3, I absolutely love em! I'm a bit concerned about the severe cutback of continental grip on the Pro 4's!! What's the score, Adidas?!
I am looking forward to the Streakfly 2, I loved my Streakflys. The Adidas Adizero Pro 3 has not been great for me so far but perhaps I need to get some more kms in on it. The Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro 2 has been a disaster for me so far, it seems so fast at first but both times I have run in them my legs have completely fallen to pieces ending up struggling to walk let a lone run. I am now scared to run in them as I might not be able to get back home next time, might need to take a taxi. I am hoping it wasn't the shoes and it was me overdoing things.
I wore the Streakflys this morning in Park Run, did a PB by 16 seconds, 19:15, shoes felt amazing. Can I go faster in the ASICS Metaspeed Sky Paris I have coming? Trying to work out the best shoe for 5km.
Besides being curious about the latest versions, I'm excited for the new ones so that I can grab previous versions at a discount. 😂 Congrats on your 50K subs mark! 🎉
All my current PBs are in the Adidas Adizero Pro 2 (this is genuinely the best shoe I've ever run or raced in...so far). Pro 3 is great but more of a comfy cruiser. Prime X strung was my everyday shoe till I recently had to retire it 😢😢(after 1500 miles tbf). Last 200 miles just felt a bit 'meh' in it, only realised the difference when I dug out my OG Prime Xs with only 300 miles on the clock and realised how much fun they still had in bags
Will have try out the Pro 4's as I have had multiple PB's in the Pro 3's. However, since recently getting the Meta Sky Paris (thanks to you for helping me in that decision) and actually breaking my Pro 3's PB's I'm torn but still need to at least try them out - that forefoot area looks extremely steep - even more so than the Pro3's. Just can't tell the wife as I just picked another pair of pro 3's on discount the other week and still want to get the AF 3's. Maybe she won't look as they'll hopefully blend in with my other adidas shoes lying around the house. 😂
@@EDDBUDdo you know how long the sky's are supposed to last in miles? I believe I'm already nearing the 75mile mark on those. The Pro 3's have been very durable for me and I'm thinking the Superblast have been too (have over 400 miles on them) but I know the Superblast and Sky Paris are two very different shoes.
My Mizuno rebellion flash 2s are the best training shoes I’ve ever had and I’m sad they’ve not had more attention in the UK. I’m definitely interested in picking up the Vistas.
In Japan, the Mizuno Neo Vista is only 22000 yen which is AUD$215. Of course, when it gets released in Australia I expect it will be a little more. I definitely want to buy it. Seems like a good high stack training option akin to the Asics Superblast. The Adidas Pro 4 looks good but I am keen to find out the weight to see if it is competitive with Asics and Nike. And Nike Streakfly 2 looks enticing as well. I have to save my pennies! Edd, I am very much looking forward to the future!
Already own 2 pairs of streakfkys that I use as trainers and was missing Streakfky 2 with carbon plate for racing, Nike hurry and get these released and take my 💲before Puma beats you releasing some crazy looking 5k racer😂
I like the fact that Lightstrike Pro is way more resistant to breakdown vs Nike's ZoomX and whatever super-critical foam Hoka uses that goes flat immediately. My Takumi Sens have 115mi of mostly road threshold & track intervals and they only started to plush'n up over the past 30 miles. The midsole heel area hasn't even started creasing yet! If the uppers last, I honestly think 250 mi of solid performance is possible w/ another 100mi of random Z2-Z3 garbage miles afterwards.
Pro 3 was just a good training shoe for me, not a racer. I'll be keen to pick up the 4 though. The AF 3 needs company in my closet!!! That Mizuno is a must!!!!!
Those 3 shoes could be an interesting shoe rotation option. Daily and Long runs - Mizuno Neo Vista Speed workouts - Streakfly 2 Race Day - Adios Pro 4 Congrats Edd on 50k subs. 👍
Been racing tonight and could have done with a touch of Suede. If I had to compare the evening to a Only Fools episode it wouldn't quite be Jolly Boys maybe more like Dates. I'll give you a bell (or email) in the next few days ☎
I'll be interested to see the changes in the Pro 4, the Evo C was also leaked so the comparison between the two will be interesting. Skeptical on the lack of continental on the Pro 4 but Adidas has been on a roll lately so who knows
It appears the Adios Pro Evo has taken the former adizero Pro spot as testing ground model. That Adios Pro 4 is amazing so far. I wonder whether or not they’ll keep all Adios models. It’s nice to have one that carries on the traditional ethos with modern materials for 5-10k, Adios Pro for half-full marathon, and Pro Evo for Elite level (legal) exploration. adizero has been back for a few years now. The running team is dominating at various distances. Podiums are standard once more. ✌🏽💙👟
@@EDDBUD there was something special about the SL and Takumi Sen Olympics releases, but that wasn’t a sustainable business model. I did read that photo might of been a fake shoe for the adidas pro 4. Looks like a mash up of prime x and a pro 3. Id of hoped for a whole new approach for the pro 4. Full carbon plate replacing the rods plus a strung esk upper. Also that mid foot cut out is old weight saving techniques where the latest best shoes have a one piece midsole and wider midfoot. Pro 4 really needs to be similar to the evo if they want to compete for the sales.

I hope they dialed in the midsole shape..I really like everything about the new direction of Mizuno except the shape of the 2 halves of the midsole..the outside 1/2 is higher than the inside 1/2 so it tries to kick your knees inward..doesn't take long until the outside of my calves are screaming to stop..maybe it's my foot strike cos after I beat up the pro1 it was barely noticeable..but the flash I had to send back cos there was no doubt I would end up injured from that uneven midsole..I once had an injury from the Saucony endorphin pro2 by trying to make it work..anyone that's suffered thru a IT band injury knows just long it takes to heel..if I remember, the adios pro2 they changed the shape so you could land and roll into your stride without a sharp inward kick...good video Edd and super congrats on getting to 50,000 subs..🎉🎉

What is your take on slow runners (around 2 hr half marathoner) using super shoe. Does it make any difference in terms of speed and comfort? Thank you
The foam helps more than plates. They are there for stability. The super shoes help everyone regardless of speed
