Appreciate that😎 I wish you luck, enjoy it while it lasts. BMT and Tech School is the one of the funnest experiences you’ll never want to experience again🤣
Question: can security forces attend airborne school, or any other school for that matter? I am very interested in joining the ANG or reserve. I was hoping you could give some clarification. Thanks
Damnit my life is just not in the clear pass for me is it I wanna be in the military AfSF army 31b police I can be I think and if that don’t work I wanna police sheriff or state trooper or fbi
Twelve -hour tours for the same pay as everyone else working 8 hrs. You'll work weekends, holidays, midnights, and miss events while everybody else is sleeping in their warm beds. The USAF is big on volunteer work. This helps to get good evaluations which decide who gets promoted or can reenlist. Imagine volunteering at a church after a midnight tour knowing you have to return hours later for another midnight. Other squadrons have BBQ's on Friday afternoons. My daughter leaves early to get her hair cut, use the gym, or attend school while assigned the base supply. You'll do those extras on your own time. You'll need to stay in shape for physical tests. Good luck getting to the gym after the extra hours and night shifts. I did all outside work in freezing weather and didn't get paid a dime extra. But you can write fellow airmen cheesy tickets and wonder why you're hated. You're as much of a cop as a school crossing guard.
I agree with all of his statements. I worked Law Enforcement and missile security for 4 years. Including a tour in Viet Nam. Only when you get to be upper rank will you ever have a weekend off. 12 hour shifts most of the time. Then they call ORI's and what little time you have off was gone with the wind!@@thomasryan2679
Hold on please. How about some specifics instead of generalizations? I spent four years in Security Guard Forces. Got K9 right after tech school. I guarded parked airplanes, ammo bunkers, missiles which never once moved, and checked the same ID cards at gates for years. Bases are virtually crime free anyway. I've never seen an arrest (you call apprehension-that's a dumb word), and everyone thinks they're a cop. You're not even called military "police". Security is the title. I walked perimeter fences on the midnights in arctic-cold weather thinking we were cops. Upon discharge I qualified for being a condominium-gate guard for minimum wage. It's never helped me become a city police officer. I would've done better in any other AFSC. Becoming a cook has the same Asvab requirement. What does that suggest? Now I get overtime. One guy worked 3000 hrs in a year. I worked 997. We get cleaning/ clothing allowance, longevity pay, holiday pay, re-call pay, and travel pay. We can call in sick 28 days yearly and nobody checks on us or needs a doctor's note. Night differential is 12% of base pay. Have you applied for a search or arrest warrant, participated in a Grand Jury investigation, had conferences with prosecutors and defense attorneys, attended BCI (Bureau of Criminal Investigation) school? @@SOCyak

Big mistake. You got persuaded into the worst job in the Air Force.
💥🔥🔥🔥

How long do u have to wait until u can get ur own spot after basic training?
Usually it’s when you put on senior airman, then you can live off base
Im security forces, I got orders to Wright Patterson It will be my second base... what's it like Job wise, and what's housing like over there?
Heavy emphasis on law enforcement over here! And several base housing locations to choose from outside of the actual base
Do you live on base
Can you go K9 in SF? Is it easy to get K9? I heard army is rare to get K9.
Yea you can definitely go K9 in SF
would you say this job is okay if you have a wife and kid?
Is there specialities on security forces? I’m more interested in investigations and forensics
Yea you can switch to those within security forces
Then Security Guard is not for you. Look at OSI or CID.
Could. I join if I’m red green color blind but I can still tell the colors apart like I can see vivid ones and all that
Probably not as my friend has the same but you can always try!

Im goin AF Security Forces, I leave for basic on Dec 12
same
I’m in the AF security forces, I leave on Dec 5th
It's the worst job in the USAF. Painfully boring.
@@thomasryan2679 I found that out the hard way
@@Muth18damn, I ship on 27th February 2024 for SecFo. Is it too late to change? 🤣😅
How many days a week do you usually work?

Damn they switched ya out for another color 🤦🏽♂️
US Air Force Security Guard Forces.
If you think SF is the equivalent to a security guard you have a lot to learn 😂

Was it worth it, I just read all that, I’m trying to figure out if it’s a positive note or a really bad pointing out you make minimum wage
@@9lilsam he’s a 4 year noner don’t listen to him
@@thomasryan2679 you're under every SF related video saying the exact same thing.
