Nova covert ops goes more like Sc:original for the lack of early game healer. But why does Superior Spec ops lack healer for infantries while Raynor’s gangs have combat medic since second mission?(In WoL)
From a design perspective, it makes them more distinctive. The lack of a convenient general healing option is one of her main weaknesses -- two of the healing abilities (Super Stimpack and vehicle regeneration) can only be on one unit type at a time, the third (Raven drone) is expensive and slow, and she doesn't get any repair bonuses.
I guess because Covert Ops wants to try and push the player to go harder on their micro than just their macro compositions like WoL was an introduction to terran macro for players and more about building up and moving out Covert Ops was very much "RUN HERE, NOW THERE, NOW HERE, NOW GO THERE, HURRRRRYYYYY" so no time to build up as much so less about healing or replacing and more keeping your shit from dying
I always give my BC's the special ordinance once I get thops. The ability to shred multiple targets at once with the absurd RoF of the BC's weapon is just akazing

Would have given battle cruisers the multi-target lasers

I never bothered with novas units you can solo most missions with nova and her tech
Most of these upgrades suck. Plus theres no medics or malestorm rounds for seige tanks. Not enough firepower.
