On a side note, this gentleman's voice is incredibly relaxing.
almost makes you feel like healing is possible
you guys are incredible. thank you. I would love more stuff on how to rid myself of this forever. its taken 2 years and 3 physios before I found this vid .i couldn't be more grateful and would love to find the right progressions going forward.
THIS is maybe the single most important video for improving an athletes gait and performance! It is so basic but so effective!
Thank you..My feet are getting stronger from these exercises. Daily progress!
Amazing content 👌 ❤🙏. Second one is perfect for me.
thank you! your podcast: Gait Guys rocks!
I hope this exercise gets another video with better camera quality so that one can see everything a bit better
You guys are great
Thank you -- this is great - though I am also interested in what is taking place in the kinetic chain through the hip musculature during these as asked by M. Martino.
Re: that shortness and tightnesses in related muscles and tissues are resolved and proper muscle recruitment patterns are begun first. HOW DO YOU DO THIS?
How often can you do these exercises? My son is 16 years old and plays a lot of basketball. Is this a daily or every other day exercise?
multiple times per day is the only way
Thank you for this video. Passive stretch is indeed stupid if the foot doesn't work properly has it reinforce the arch collapse mechanism.
I guess I won't win as much ROM as I need to be really athletic, but at least it won't be bullshit progress like with passive stretch.
BTW what do you think of mobilisation à la Mulligan with an elastic band? The ones who use it talk about impingement reduction.... but doesn't the backward pull goes againts the ankle rocker mechanism?
No, you are actively resisting the band, thus generating force to actively dorsiflex.
How soon after one can do this after bimalleolar & fixed broken fib op, given exercises passive stretch resist & pump?
I'm curious. Could there be another reason for not having the flexability in this joint? maybe skeletal? Thanks.
Am I able to do this while wearing my corrective orthotics or is this something to be done bare foot or with a therapist? Ten years late to the comment section.
If the foot collapse, check that the glutes are enganged (check if you're not in hyper lordosis).
What should be happening at the hip here? which muscles should be stablilizing us there during this?
