@@Starrs_mods yup, turn out you need to redownload all the game😂search for online game ROM base on your emulator, ex : I want to dw legend of Zelda minish cap on GBA, so just search that game name with ROM added at the back, then simply DW it, after that use and card reader or other alternative then drag the game file to the GBA file name under ROM file, this part is important as if GBA game were place on wrong emulator file then it will not work(same applied as other emulator other than GBA), also some game will come in zip file such as metal slug X and in that case don't unzip the file simply copy and paste it on the right ROMs file, other emulator like MAME, neo Geo also need special file to be downloaded to operate properly

Why does my sd card only have about 255mb left in the end. I can’t transfer any games over. And now only 3 files copy over none other folders including the roms. I’m confused.
So on a current mac, you can do most these steps in the included disc utility, up until resizing the partitions, for some reason only GUID can be resized and after flashing with belena etcher it reverts to MBR. The partitions default to even halves, but the resizing options are grayed out. From there you can power it up on your device, play with the os and default content, but there's basically no room to add your own roms :( unless someone could please enlighten me a workaround!
I know I'm a bit late to the party with this video, however it was really helpful and works great! Just one question, does this new firmware require you to go into some settings and boot the system off like the previous one? Just using the powerswitch seems a bit rough to do? Thank you for any help!
The firmware after this one (I am on 1.3.4 I think? It has been awhile) allowed me to use the power button instead of the menu system button. It still said "error" when booting but the error screen lasts a second and puts you into the system menu like normal!
ZeePeezy Yea I did that for a while, the system confused me for a bit but after I figured it out I found that you can use a power off function by pressing the L or R shoulder buttons to navigate the menus. So I am using that now, It is usually more secure and less risk of corrupting your files! :D

Neither with the new nor the card that came with the device. Do you happen to know anything about the issue? Thank You
I'd suggest starting over and doing a full format with the SD Card Formatter.
Can I organize the roms in a-z folders for one system? I just ordered a v90 and preparing my 32GB SD card right now, have full romsets for all systems.
let me tell you, my pocketgo seems a lot more useful with the new firmware, I find it quite cute and I'm using it a little more than my RG350 now, overclocking seems to work now, and my husband's Q90 overclocks even more, he's happy playing megaman X without crashes now
Yeah I’ve been extremely pleased with the latest firmware. I would like to test it on more devices, but glad to hear it’s working out for you. Cheers!
Hello! Where is the overclock menu? I have this firmware on my Q90...
@@paoloa.9193 Did you ever find out?
help, i accidently formatted the :H file drive and now its stuck on the miyoo loading screen
@@riptechnobladelmaoo nah I just forgot abt it

Hey I've done everything in the tutorial but no matter what I do the system wont boot. I tried multiple times of flashing with the cfw, but it never boots when I put it in the device. Maybe its the micro sd but not sure. Im using a 8gb one at the moment maybe thats why its not working.
have you found a fix? im using a family pocket gp-40 and for some reason didnt come with sd just built in games and took it apart and could find another sd for the os and when i put the sd in after doing this i get the exact same thing before i seen the video i just put the roms on the card and it would bring up a menu with gbc and other emulators but no games show up
@@Starrs_mods it turned out the card I was using was too small
Dont know if id get it solved in time but during the Win32 disk imager part i got "Error 5: access is denied". is there any way i can fix this?
Ok i fixed that part, now it just won't boot, it has the menu on the v90, but it isnt booting :(
how did you fix that? im having that issue right now
I did all that you told and my console is running on new firmware, thanks!
But I have a problem, my computer sees only "boot" partition, not "main", so I can add roms. Any ideas?
I had the same issue, try a different computer if possible. I have no idea why, but it worked for me and another viewer. Sorry it's not a great answer, but I tried and tried to find that partition on my main computer to no avail.
@@zeepeezy Yep, it worked on another computer, thanks!
@@zeepeezy I've found solution (if you are using Windows 7 32-bit like me). All is here: forum.xda-developers.com/t/how-to-mount-multiple-sdcard-removable-disk-partitions-in-windows.1585572/ :)
@@zeepeezy FYI for me changing usb port was sufficient
@@RomiWadaKatsu Good to know! These things are so finnicky.
Go ahead and go ahead with the go ahead that you should go ahead with.
Can someone help me how to use Chromebook to install the miyoo custom firm ware powkiddy v90
wow this is great , but idk how to return my sd card to its former layout. any ideas?
I can't seem to extend the main partition all the way; I get Error Code 3, but I flash it just fine. I'm using the SD card that came with it, btw. Is it a bad SD card?
How much better does PS1 run on this compared to the pocket go cfw? I seriously just want Castlevania SOTN & FF7 to run closest to full speed as possible
@@zeepeezy excellent, I’ve always wondered what it’d be like to play FF8 on a GBA...even if it is a clone lol
@@zeepeezy sadly I can’t get the FF8 PBP file to load, did you use the .bin file instead?
@@zeepeezy I figured out if you want most games to play full speed, I’ve tested FF7,FF8, Parasite Eve 1 & 2, all Resident Evils...put the PSOne SLUS bios file in the Emulators/PSOne bios folder then select it options tab in game
I hadn’t tested FF on the original firmware, but I was able to get FF8 working great on the new firmware.
I used the .bin format! (Sorry had to repost comment, being buggy!)
How to install custom firmware for Powkiddy X39?
I did everything as the guide says maxing out the main partition. But it's saying I only have 111 mb free when I try to make Roms to the rim folder. Is there something wrong with my card?
mine still corrupt OS no matter what sd card i used, i think 2.0 miyoo cfw should fix my problem about unclean shutdowns but its still on beta
dou you use the ad card that comes with it or do you need to use a different one?
Thank you so much, it really works
Enjoy :)
Does anyone know what I do if I have deleted all of my ROMS, have I ruined everything
Insert what sd card into the computer? The one that comes with the device? A new one to use with the device?
Heeeyyy
So my Powkiddy V90 arrived and thanks to you I installed cfw 1.3.3 and everything was nice and dandy until...I.... accidentally deleted the whole emulator section....is there any way to do a "factory reset" on this thing?
bro tnx a lot 4 the info
I am incredibly late but I recently got a v90. Great video, however when I insert the sd card back into the device, it boots up and shows the MIYOO loading screen but nothing else, like its not loading. Any idea why?
same problem
Can you do this on a chromebook
