    Remember kids: use a torque wrench, use PB Blaster, If you reuse bolts use a small amount of thread locker (too much will ruin the torque), and don’t torque/tighten anything relating to your bushings until your vehicle is ON THE GROUND. Not on a jack, on the ground with the wheels on it.

    • @gousaaa5602
      @gousaaa5602 2 года назад +2

      Then how would you tighten it on the ground 😂

    Lol “they’re not horrible but some things I wouldn’t buy, like clutch systems” man I learned the hard way. Had 2 clutch masters on my dc5 cause the first one went bad after a few days of driving

    95 foot pounds for the 3 bolts, 43 foot pounds for the single bolts for torque specs!

    I just picked this part up and getting ready to install it once it arrives. I'm curious to see how it holds up.

      So far it has been reliable. The track event was successful! I think it was worth the shot I'm sure it will work for you as well.

    Looking forward to your long term review, feel any different with it being lighter? I am also thinking to change my rear LCA with the Hardrace spherical ball variant.

    • @DC5RParts
      @DC5RParts  4 года назад +1

      They are still holding up really well. No signs of wear on the bushings. I wouldn't recommend spherical ball variant for street use.

  • @TheKasli
    @TheKasli 3 года назад

    YIKES! 14:24 Do not tighten bushing bolts down when the suspension is unloaded. This will cause premature wear and ultimately result in torn bushings.

    You need subframe brace and tie bar to finish it off back there.

    • @DC5RParts
      @DC5RParts  5 лет назад +2

      The 05/06 Type S has a lower tie bar from factory. I replaced it with our aluminum bar, not shown in this video. And I personally don't like subframe braces. It looks exactly how I wanted it to look. Thanks for your recommendations.

    Hey man loved the vid! Thinking of making future vids of the car I buy! I’m being sold a 2006 Rsx type s for 5k with 130k miles worth it?

    • @DC5RParts
      @DC5RParts  5 лет назад

      Thank you for watching! For a 2006 that's low miles averaging 10k per year. That's not bad
      It all depends on the conditions of it, color as well.
      check engine compression first, there you'll determine if it's worth your time.
      If it's good condition, go for it! $5k is a great start up price!

    • @idrcookiez620
      @idrcookiez620 5 лет назад

      Yes it’s amazing condition no rust anywhere! It’s a black one. It’s been garaged it’s whole life! Just the front hood has some chips do to rocks hitting it down the road. I know the guy selling it very well. Basically family. I even remember when he first bought it, and I wanted it so bad. So from what I know it’s been well taken care of as he never put any mods except a SRI everything else is bone stock!

    • @DC5RParts
      @DC5RParts  5 лет назад

      Seems like a great pick! I would definitely go with that one. Just go through the basics such as compression test etc.

    /gg new LCA you have to drop the car first before you tight it cause u gonna mess up the new LCA

    • @DC5RParts
      @DC5RParts  4 года назад

      Thanks for the tip. Having the jack compress the entire assembly will minimize that effect once fully lowered. It's been 2 years and plenty of track time. They haven't failed. Your theory could be right but it hasn't happened and I doubt it will happen. I appreciate you watching and your criticism! 💯👌🏻

    I'm not "sponsored by K-tuned by any means.." ,but I just want to let you know that these parts are not always made i the same factory or state.. whether they are made in USA, Japan, or even China.. they all have a chance in failing.. Companies like these don't really test each and EVERY! one of their products off the line just for reliability purposes. Sad, but true. "Visual" inspection is at best.
