Open the lid on the grain bin for ventilation! Heat rises! When we were kids and had to shovel out the last of the grain in the bins, it helped a lot to open the lids on top.

Jason, one thing about your electric fence... you can't have it touching those metal pipes, it will just ground out the pulse... putting along the front and using the cattle guard for the opening is a great idea, you just can't have the electric fence touching any other fence/pipe/t-post/trees/shrubs/etc.

Regarding stumps: I remember my father-in-law told me he would drill holes into the stumps, pour lighter fluid into them and light it on fire. He said that it burned down into the roots. I've never tried it. But, thought I would share.

    • @Lollylobacres

@@sandychilese2893 I had a stump man come and grind some on our new property that someone else burned. It did not burn down to the roots, not sure if holes were drilled or not, but what it does do is ruin stump grinding teeth, fills them down. Really it is just best to grind them without any extra effort to destroy them first.

Nice job on the stain, Jason. I am glad that you got a box fan. If you can find some block ice somewhere, get a 50lb to 75lb block, put it in a wash tub, and have the fan blow the cooled air around you. 😊

Luckily, my spouse and I were able to pay off our mortgage early. We took the money we were spending to accelerate our mortgage repayment and invested it right away while we were both still working. We were able to retire early after accumulating what would have been our home payment for over 7 years and maxing out our 401K/403B plans. Thankfully, both of our parents taught in us the importance of living within our means.

Investors can have different investing results even with the best strategy and suitable assets. Understanding how experience plays a critical part in successful investing is key. Since I was aware of this, I consulted a market analyst for advice, which helped me build my account to about a million dollars. Having strategically cashed out just prior to the market correction, I'm now taking advantage of buying opportunities once more.

Hi Jason, yep I agree, 20 if not more degrees hotter in the bin. Great stain. That’s good stuff as I have used Cabot’s products before, still using it to retreat the BBQ table and chairs, our tropical sun is certainly destructive to a lot of timber treatments. Just for context, I am in Townsville, Queensland Australia.

Great job in those brutal conditions, I worked boiler breakdowns in my youth in large electric generation plants, so I appreciate your focus on personal safety, unless you’ve worked in a large steel oven before, and the bin is similar, most can only imagine how hot it gets, especially when you add in the dew point and humidity, safe to add 13-15 degrees to your thermometer reading in those ambient temperatures.

Jason, put the fan in the doorway so you blow air into the grain bin. try to ventilate the roof somehow and allow the heat to escape at the highest level. if you think it's hot now wait til you move up to the loft area. without letting the heat escape from the top, you will be cooked in the loft. i think you will not get the results that you are hoping for by burning the stumps. wet stumps will not burn very easy. most of the heat generated from the fire will rise and not dry out the stump and by burning the stump will repel insects that would normally feed on the raw wood fibers. charred stumps will be around for years to come if they are burnt but not completely burnt up. also look to seal the bottom of the grain bin on the outside to stop the water from getting under the metal wall in the first place. water that is allowed to sit just under the metal wall will tend to start to rot the wood, even pressure treated wood will rot in just a few years. wood now days is not treated as well as years ago. your place is looking AWESOME.....keep it going.....jim in central florida
