Dude, I am sure it has already been said but please just go buy a bandsaw or even a jigsaw. Will save you soooooo much time. That being said, you guys are awesome and thank you for sharing your journey with us all.
I do agree. after i seen the brand new planer i figured i could not consider the"thats all he had" excuse..he is doing it though. and all props. but its painful at times to see the unnecessary struggles
Jason you need a bandsaw that would help cut the curves and they do make them for tabletops so I'm not talking about the big band saw that you would use to run your woodshop. I do believe they make one that is portable and easy to hold with your hand.
Now that's what I'm talking about doing longer videos! Explaining ALL the steps, instead of sitting around just talking about things... don't get me wrong those videos have thier place too, but I just like the bulid videos the best!! Thanks for all the hard work behind the scenes,it is appreciated greatly!!
Jason, I give you props man. You're not afraid of a little hard work. I'm proud of you and Danielle, y'all are kick'n butts and taking names. Please pay attention to your bodies and stay hydrated? Thumbs up and love, from S. California.
I love the longer video- fascinating to watch you figure out all the details & everything works out the way you want them too. Get ready for the influx of boxes full of every saw they make, because I’m sure all of the “exports” will want you to have the right saws!! 😜 💜👋🏻
I have such respect for you both. I really enjoyed this so I really liked it. I will miss you but you have to do what is best for you. Eat and definately hydrate. Great job for both of you. Increditable video
OMG! I thought, for sure, Jason was gonna lose a finger or two in this one! I can't even fathom the amount of hours that go into what you are trying to build let alone the extra hours to film it. You are an inspiration to us all! Keep up the great work and even if it's a video a month, I'm here for it and can't wait to see your progress!
I appreciate all the details on your build, you emphasize your not professional, but you have so much built in talent and skill, I appreciate your willingness to explain how you got the angles on the floor, it just shows how very complicated it is as apposed to a traditional s we are frame. I love you both and this new home so much. God bless you and your animals. I have always loved all your videos and have watched forever . Huge fan, can’t wait to meet you both in person one day ❤❤
You guys are awsome. My husband and I built a large, fully insulated sewing studio down our garden and a work shop, like yourselves we are not professionals so I understand all your frustrations and appreciate all the hours its takes to do what you are doing. But as others have said the right tools make life so much easier. Stick with it you are doing great especially in that heat.
Bless ur hearts. You have worked your asses off. Remember what's behind the wall doesn't have to be pretty. But after 50 years I would have used a bandsaw or my favorite a chainsaw with a 12in bar..love you guys.SEMPER FI
I wish I lived closer I would have loaned you, my bandsaw. It is what it is and whether it was the correct way or not you were able to keep moving forward. Keep chugging along. Love the videos.
Jason -if you can open roof cap on top of bin,put a high velocity fan in it blowing out ,it will be so much cooler in bin-hope this helps-love this build, giving be ideas
Make you plate out of 3/4 plywood and stack to pieces on top of each other much easier to cut and use you jig saw. I have framed hundreds of arced walls and we always used 3/4 ply
I knew you would figure it out. I don’t know how you could even think in that heat, but you did and in my opinion it was Epic. You figured it out and made it work not having some of the tools you need to make the cuts and kudos to you Jason . I think you did a wonderful job and I’m so glad that Danielle was there to keep an eye on you in that heat. Please both of you be careful in the heat. It’s brutal outside right now. Great video guys. God Bless, Much Love❤️❤️
Holy struggle bus. Across the board. A simpler compass to mark the boards traysing the wall. Crazy to plane the boards crazy using the router the way you was. A simple ply wood template you would find the router table worked better less stick out on tool ya get less tool deflection and router would last way longer.
The thickness of the template doesn't matter. It literally just rolls on it. It's the amount you have to cut... and we need 2x4s. So if the template is plywood or 30inches thick.... that will never matter
Use a band saw for the remainder of the footer boards. There are so many you have to cut your life will be tons easier. Buy another box fan and have both running inside the bin. Get that air moving. You have the gumption to do this!
It’s just so amazing to see how you figure things out and explain to us. Kudos to you both for continuing to work inside the grain bin at 100 degrees. Looks great!
A pencil compass for tracing along the walls of the bin would be a lot faster. For the inside line, you just need two marks--one on each side of the cut--and something flexible to bend between the two marks. 1/2' PVC works well. I used it to mark my arches on plywood for my hallway. Fun video.
Such an awesome video. Love the fact that you were telling us what you were doing. Watching you workout how to fix a problem is far more entertaining than straight building. Well done! this project is going to take quite a bit of time but should be well worth it.👏🏼👏🏼
I'm going to pretend like I didn't hear wall rafters...Good job guys. When you choose to do something so advanced it's going to take a beginner a lot longer. I was in construction for about 15 years and there is no way I would try to frame a grain bin. Cudos 😊
Jason get a jig saw and remember that router only cuts in ONE direction half the time you were going in the wrong direction hence the bucking and bad cutting it goes counter clock wise and it will work fine.
Sometimes kicking back in the recliner and smoking a blunt while watching a mentally challenged guy do stuff is fun.Hell I throughly enjoyed this video LMFAO
Jason you guy's are working in the heat killing yourselves. Be careful. Lol sorry loving Nanny and Granddaddy here. Just worried about your health. Different saw needed sonshine. God bless you both. XOXO 👍 😘 🤗. Loving the determination 💪 👏 ❤️ 🙌 💕
Loved absolutely loved the video. I’m glad you made it. It totally does explain the time it takes to do a job. If you want the job done correctly. Continue doing videos like this as far as I’m concerned with the explanations, it was awesome.
I would use a Band Saw myself (honestly the Wen 9” would do it in no time - FYI), but good on you for persevering through it. Came out fantastic and was a good idea for the curved walls. Now it’ll definitely be much easier. But for the rest, get a band saw and a couple of standard blades.
Howdy 🤠 Mr.&Mrs.Crocker and all the animals 🐂🐄🐄🐖🐖🐐🐐🐐🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🦃🐓🐓🐓🐓 prayers going to Stubs And you all for having a sick Stubs and prayers that everything will go smooth as possible for building the grain bin I see what you ment about the curves in the wood you what everything to be tight as possible and your making amazing progress absolutely enjoying this episode amazing work love you all
❤Good Day Danielle and Jason 🤩🌞🌻 Very interesting 🤔 Excellent 👌 info and great information to see how this is done 👍✅ Love watching your videos and look forward to More 👍🤩🇺🇸🙏🙌🇺🇸⭐🌅✌️🤞👌🌠💫🌟✨🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Yes I love the longer videos even if once a week to show us how it’s coming along. I love your videos. Especially this channel. Blessings to both of you. Hard working people.
I love this video. I only wish you had a tabletop bandsaw or at least a jigsaw to remove most of the material so that the router would not have had such a hard time getting through the material and your frustration would not rise so quickly. Pressure treated wood, hardwood, or even pinewood would have a hard time cutting through material that thick and deeper than than the thickness of the blade.
Get a dang Contour Gauge and jigsaw! The gauge will get your curves exact and you just trace it onto your lumber! You'll be using it for years to come. With that and the correct saw, it would have taken half the time and effort.
A bench bandsaw would hvae been great for that task. The router idea is good...for trimming and smoothing afterward. But, we use what we got, you did better than I thought ya might doing it that way. But if theres ever a next time, get a bench bandsaw.. Okay, using the router table is good. More stable , too. Yes, Im still watching the vid commenting as I go.
Thank you so much! this was such a great video !!! I love this longer videos and I have really learned and understood it all so well, and I would definitely go watch this on, if I had to go build a grain bin my self so a huge thank you 🙏 greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰
I think a few clamps would help you out but I admire your determination. A scroll saw and/or jig saw is next on the shopping list, a magnet too. I can't wait to see them all down and walls going up. 👍
They make a tool that copies curves so you can trace them on your boards. Also, the comment about getting a bandsaw or jigsaw is very true, there will make your life a hundred times easier.
jason you do great work. go ahead and cut in the front door do an install and wrap it for for protection and a later reveal and im just suggesting possibly buying a good used package unit of adequate btu would make it so much more bearable in there, just saying.
I've suggested things that may seem i suggested for you to end a dream, nope... I respect the fact you even outside the box and trying it... Hopefully you don't burn out...
I enjoyed that long video very very good, you guys are really hard workers someday it will be all finished and you can enjoy it. Be careful in that heat.❤
Anyone reading this, and seeing how Jason used the table saw….please, please, please do not use a table saw like he did (at 7:30)! That is an EXTREMELY dangerous way to use a table saw! He’s very fortunate nothing kicked back at him…and that height, it would’ve shot it right into his head. Table saws are one of the most dangerous tools in carpentry…”safety third” is not a good idea when using them. Stay safe Jason!
Best rule of thumb when routing is to not have more than half the bit the wood and only go the one direction. Tedious but it paid off. Keep up the hard work!
I enjoyed watching this one too. You're working hard, but it is now on the way. I thought about a band saw, but they sometimes tend to wander. You worked it out. Nice job!
Buy a jig saw will make your life a lot easier to do those boards
Buy a jig saw for intelligent people!!!!!!!
Thanks for writing this I was just about too write same thing
A Mexican would have that done in one day they got talent bro😂
A jig saw is the solution. It would save you a bunch of time. ❤❤
Sorry, but I agree 👍
Dude, I am sure it has already been said but please just go buy a bandsaw or even a jigsaw. Will save you soooooo much time. That being said, you guys are awesome and thank you for sharing your journey with us all.
I was thinking a band saw would rip right through those in a second.
Ditto!!
Grizzly band saw is only $100
I do agree. after i seen the brand new planer i figured i could not consider the"thats all he had" excuse..he is doing it though. and all props. but its painful at times to see the unnecessary struggles
Safety glasses: All in favor say “Eye!” 🤓

He likes doing things the hard way LOL
@@VictoriaLovePhotographyyour a photographer, bet you like doing things the hard way.
@@tinagriffith500 is this a sexual connotation
They make a small table to attach a hand held band saw.

Use a band saw. Stack several boards up using double sided tape between them
I learned a lot. You always explain how you do things so it's very educational I love the way you just slap things together. Great video 🔨
Band saw is what you need. Boom done!
I was thinking the very same thing. If he only had one.
Jason, I give you props man. You're not afraid of a little hard work. I'm proud of you and Danielle, y'all are kick'n butts and taking names. Please pay attention to your bodies and stay hydrated? Thumbs up and love, from S. California.
46:23 look at Danielle watching her man build their home...supporting JASON in one of many ways❤....GO TEAM CROCKER🎉🎉🎉🎉
I love the longer video- fascinating to watch you figure out all the details & everything works out the way you want them too. Get ready for the influx of boxes full of every saw they make, because I’m sure all of the “exports” will want you to have the right saws!! 😜 💜👋🏻
When cutting anything like that you have to think of it as if you are making furniture. The best way to make those kind of cuts is a band saw.
I have such respect for you both. I really enjoyed this so I really liked it. I will miss you but you have to do what is best for you. Eat and definately hydrate. Great job for both of you. Increditable video

As the king of YT 😂 It may have been a long one, but it wasn’t boring. I didn’t feel the need at all to fast forward. 😁 Have a great weekend!!

Been saying this from the jump. I’m pretty sure there’s another door up towards the top too 😂
Make you plate out of 3/4 plywood and stack to pieces on top of each other much easier to cut and use you jig saw. I have framed hundreds of arced walls and we always used 3/4 ply
We do it the same way on framing jobs here as well, no jig saws or band saws needed.
Just a circular saw
Your such a smarty pants. I really enjoy watching and learning .I appreciate all you do. Hugs
I knew you would figure it out. I don’t know how you could even think in that heat, but you did and in my opinion it was Epic. Wow! I will be praying for you all! Tough job, but I know you can do it!! Take care of yourselves....❤😊✌️
This is like watching someone try to push a rope. Please read the posts below, bandsaw or jigsaw either one. Much love.
love this channel guys..all my comments arent meant to be critical.. i admire your work ethic and positive attitude

Hey Jason and Danielle- you 2 are killing it. Lots of fantastic information here and examples to follow. You are my kind of family 👍
I like the longer format even if you only do once a week. I am also in favor of a jig saw or bandsaw.
It's looking great, and in the end, it will look amazing.

Great job figuring out the framing impressed how you always come up with a solution can’t wait to see the finished product keep up the good work
Jason, a vertical band saw would make that job easier, faster and safer. Good Luck.

maybe a bandsaw for cutting the curved pieces a jigsaw wont be square best video in a while it showed what was happening
Great job you 2. Keep up the great work on your project. Love your process of completing your project.
Still one of the most creative brains!
I love how you try and try to find a way that suits you. There is always an alternative.

I think the way you do it that makes you happy is the way to do this. Great job!!
You make it look easy but I know it’s a lot of work. Just keep up with it!! You’re doing an awesome job!!!
Definitely longer videos. Looking good, yall. Thanks as always for sharing, and God bless ❤️🙏🫠
You are doing well, it's amazing, thanks for your time 😊 From Mary Iceland 🇮🇸
I enjoyed the video and explaining what you are doing!
I love today’s video! Doing the less edited stuff once in awhile is fabulous! I’m learning from your process ❤

LOVE longer videos.💕
Get a jig saw, make a larger template, possibly use pieces of osb/plywood or even some heavy cardboard.
Some do not always agree how you go about it, but we can be sure, you will get it done, whatever the job.
Get a dang Contour Gauge and jigsaw! The gauge will get your curves exact and you just trace it onto your lumber! You'll be using it for years to come. With that and the correct saw, it would have taken half the time and effort.
Bandsaw!! They are so handy
Hell, descent bandsaw, cut 2 at a time
You can buy a portable roll around AC to put in the grain bin and cool things off while you work inside
Jason, your mind is always working to solve the problem. Fascinating!!! The two of you are an awesome pair.❤❤❤
Thank you so much! this was such a great video !!! I love this longer videos and I have really learned and understood it all so well, and I would definitely go watch this on, if I had to go build a grain bin my self so a huge thank you 🙏 greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰
I remember back in the day we used one of those jig saw or band saw.
Great job Jason and Danielle

Great video and I love how you got it figured out. That is the best way. You need to purchase a ban saw to cut the curves, I think it would work.
Spend some money and buy a jigsaw or a bench top bandsaw, these two tools will make your life much easier/simpler
Learned a lot! Thank y’all so much!!😊❤❤
Jig saw is the tool you need
I've suggested things that may seem i suggested for you to end a dream, nope... I respect the fact you even outside the box and trying it...
Hopefully you don't burn out...
I enjoyed that long video very very good, you guys are really hard workers someday it will be all finished and you can enjoy it. Be careful in that heat.❤
I love to watch all the stuff y'all. Keep up the good work.
Bless you 🤧..Way to go.Think you may have gotten it right.. Stay Blessed 😇🙏🙏🙏.
Try renting A bandsaw to make those curve cuts. It will make your life so much easier!
Jason keep up the good work. You have inspired me to work on my home. Thank you ❤
Yes!!! Do long videos! Thanks for your time!
Jigsaws are the best for this application sir. Keep up the great work!
You Do You Jason. like so many others I'm going to say get that bandsaw it will make your life so much better for the way you want to frame.

Jigsaw would have been easier to cut the curves I think.
Thank god for Tractor Supply. I ran in to a problem with a part and they helped me as will.
Ty for video I learned some stuff I didn't know already God bless you guy's I haven't hammered 50 nails since 70s lol
Best rule of thumb when routing is to not have more than half the bit the wood and only go the one direction. Tedious but it paid off. Keep up the hard work!
