To install them on your katana mkii, the easiest way is to drag the downloaded files to your desktop.
Open up the tone studio with your katana connected and go to the top right corner and click the down arrow. Locate your file and it'll bring it into your library where you can drag them across to the katana :)

Would love to see you an in-depth JCM800 vs. DSL20HR comparison. By the way, the Victory sounds great. Tons of different tones, even just by tweaking the Presence knob alone.

Just got the Kraken preamp. This is insane, you can dial any high gain sound when coupled with a boost and an eq. This thing is like a dream. I'm already seriously thinking about upgrading to the true thing, not just only the preamp.
To me it’s an absolute monster. The gain 1 channel is a more refined and better sounding 800. Gain 2 is a super tight modern gain that sounds fantastic for loads of tones. Just a really versatile amp that hits like a truck
@@LambChopper678 My favorite channel is the first one, more defined and more sustain than a jcm 800, a pure gem. Your eq settings are very useful. I still have to find the sound of Petrucci on the first dream Theater albums, I have to experiment

I totally love your videos , keep going with the channel! Also an idea , maybe you like it.. To try out your followers presets of the katana, maybe you find some good things among the presets . And also giving your honest opinion on wether you like them or how to improve them :)
This is a great review by the way i have the vx100 super kraken its an invcredibly versatile amp and this sounds just as good i just hope they do a 100 watt version

anyone interested in the MK1 version of this amp, if you are metal its all you need, screw the clean channel its the only difference.....$999 on Sweetwater right now....thats a steal!
no presence control on mk 1 but an eq can bring the missing presence knob

It's not the only difference, there's a few differences that really make the mk2 worth buying over the original
And most metal still has clean parts thrown in the mix. Always a plus when a high gain amp actually has a great clean which this one def does

I have the vx100 super kraken and use it with the empress paraeq in the fx loop. I can find pretty much anything I need quickly and honestly there is no bad tone

Your setup sounds so good. I struggle with feedback when I try to get that kind of tone and I hate how a noise gate sounds when it cuts off the sound.

This is very nice indeed.i was just looking at some victory amps the other day . But went a Peavey invective head and matching can and it's very good indeed.but man I would love this too.any one recommend so good tones I could get using my new Peavey?I'm looking for that lamb if god tone at the min.great video as always

Interesting you put compression in the effects loop? Never tried that. I always put in the front of the chain before distortion pedals

I get the same channel 2 sound with my EVH 5150iii 6L6. I have some great pedals, one of them the kraken v4 preamp pedal. But after changing the v1 v2 and v5 preamps, I only use amp with EQ loop and EQ front on channel 2 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Sorry, they did send it to me. I didn’t ask for it, I just got a message saying it’s in the mail. There’s no strings attached. After playing it I can honestly say I’d buy it in a heartbeat

Hows this against the mesa mark for things like Log tones and against your actual marshalls (jcm800 specifically)? Keen to see what else you get out of the kraken. Love that its got a proper clean now too and presence.
Ive got a kraken mk 1 and love channel 1. Ive also always wanted the mesa boogie sound.
I actually have a mesa triple recto sitting here at home for a week (its a mates) and damn does it have some thump in comparison to my kraken. Havent played something that big for a while ao had forgotten what a big big tube amp telt like.
Definitely considering trading up my kraken to the mark 2 version though as it pretty much nails everything.
It’s an awesome amp man, I’ll be pushing it as far as I can. I think it’ll be in loads of videos
Sounds great. How are you feeding the side chain input on the Zuul?
The zuul+ has its own key in and through feature so you just connect your guitar and it sends out the signal to pedals for the front end
The master volume II looks like it’s all the off. Is that the volume for channel 2?
There’s a switch on the back that can make each master volume assigned to each channel or have 1 master vol for both.
They really did think of everything with this amp.

they seem like cool amps, very Marshally. The only thing i dislike is the power switch being on the back of the amp.

Im a marshall fanboi and i wanna get my first tube amp, but i love this when i saw it come out, 9w option and way more versatile than a studio marshall for example and imho very similar sound something between a jcm800 and a silver jub due to the v6s. which is exactly what i want

I want to play all type of genres, from clean stuff, to jazzblues to rock ( think greenday to slash) to more aggresive think drop c djenty drops. To me this amp really seem capapble of these, would u reccomend it over a marshall as an only amp ?
Oh man I hate these questions normally and I always answer with a butt at the end.
My JCM800 is the greatest amp I’ve ever had until this.
I’ve only had it a week but I’m confident to say it does everything you want and sounds punchy as hell. I’m going to be pushing it over the next while to see how far it goes. So far there hasn’t been a tone it can’t do and it responds to boosts and eq’s really well. It really is a cool amp man👌🏻
What other amp does puppets and slayer with no pedals..

Yeah thats something I saw with the marshalls (which is normal cuz thats what they are made to do) u can get clean for days , and the best overdrive in the world until a certain overdrive level. After that its either max volume it or not enough. All this at probably too much volume ( maybe? )
Thats when new more modern( i hate the word modern lol ) boutqiue amps *might* do better than vintagey(real or inspired) amps can.
Unless I can go to uk and try some this year, i maybeee bite the bullet myself and order something.
So cool that it goes that over the top without pedals, what more to ask ? I thought about Kreg Koch's amp with like 3 channels and stuff but thats like 100watts only...shit way too many ;D@@LambChopper678
How do you find it against the EVH 5150 you have there? I already had one but I want to try something different. Can the kraken mk II hang with the EVH?

I know they’re based upon separate styles of gain but which one feels tighter?
The Kraken is better, tighter and more punch
@@LambChopper678 it’s really that good? Trying to go for an exodus sound. I’d prefer no boost but I do have a Fortin 33 that’ll do the trick. Just want something that plugs straight in and sounds like Gary Holts modded Marshall.

So far it’s 1 amp that can do all my amps. I’ll be using it loads over the next while. To me it’s the amp I’ve been looking for since the DSL

I like the Kraken better than my 5150.
It hits harder and I prefer the tone. That’s just my opinion and tone is pretty subjective.
If you can you should take a drive to a guitar store and try one out first.

I’ve just looked and it will be around 2800 AUD so yeah… not cheap haha But I think it’ll be worth it though.
