Mastodon Leviathan album absolutely changed the game for me when it came out. I always felt Mastodon and High on Fire in the early 2000s brought so much originality to the game !

I'm on an endless search for the perfect set for my les paul studio! I love the jb in my sg.. not so much in my paul! Thrash factor also doesent work in that guitar! And pafs are too low output for me.. do you think that the hellbender set would be a option if i like jb's in general but not in this guitar? Cheers
I’m fussy as well with pickups, they really need to match the guitar. I find the thrash factors a little abrasive in the top end but clean up really well rolling the tone off a little. They become a jb. As for the hellbenders, they’re really cool with super high output. I think the easiest way to describe them is blend a jb with a distortion and add a few more winds. You can tell there’s the warmth of alnico and the aggression of ceramic. That’s my take anyways
Lambchop, can you please re-amp something so we can hear both channels of the Kraken together? I believe that’s how Bea uses them (has two, one for each channel).
Do you buy all your amps and gear yourself or are you sent some by the manufactures to feature on your channel? No negative judgement just curious. Love your videos
A lot of pedals I get are sent to me to make videos about if I like them. Some items I get a little cheaper like my jcm800. I’ve never made a video with gear I wouldn’t buy myself though. If it isn’t good then I let the company know and I send it forward or send it back. This kraken was sent out with no obligations. I’m not sure if I keep it or send it on when I’m done but it’s definitely the coolest piece of gear I’ve received.

I just bought a MT15 paired with a EVH 2x12 st a few weeks ago. Before this one dropped.. That little amp is a beast and it is half the price but man the crunch channel on this one is really nice.
