    I'd be happy if it went core if I could set kingsmarch as my base, so annoying having to keep going to Kingsmarch to micro manage everything.

    I did start this league after taking a (justified) skip of last league, but now I decided to play SSF and I have never played a SSF character this far. Yes I don't even have the AH and this is my favorite league of all time and I have played almost all leagus since 2013 with just 5 skips.
    I hope Kingsmarch stays, and not just the AH. I hope at least shipments will stay, it feels so good logging in after work or in the morning with 3 loot screens waiting to be opened.

    Things that are almost certain to go core, unless something goes horribly wrong (90+%):
    - the currency exchange (it was made to solve part of the trade problem after all)
    - gold (to fuel the currency exchange in a non-tradeable way).
    Things that have a good chance (75%) of going core:
    - Faustus's black market gamba (as a way to dump excess gold and/or give gold some utility in SSF). As an aside, that might prompt a rework of Gwen's expedition shop, since the black market fulfills the same niche.
    Things that may or may not go core (50%):
    - recombinating device. If it goes core, expect it to require outrageous amounts of gold to use, plus some other currency (chaos/exalts/divines). Alternatively, GGG just reenables recombinators to drop and makes them rarer (since they're already much worse anyway, according to people using them in Standard).
    Things that probably won't go core (25%):
    - Kingsmarch itself. If it goes core, it probably replaces the current area as the end game player hub, since it has been a while since it was changed from Oriath anyway.
    Things that definitely won't go core (as much chance as Chris Wilson's hair growing back):
    - shipments, map devices, ores, disenchant, farms (lol of course no)
    - kalguuran rune enchantments (no way another craft bench is added to the game, even if they nerfed it into uselessness)

      I think you might be wrong about shipments. If you don't count the AH, shipments is what people love most this league. At least they'll have to think more how to keep those in the game,because there will be riots when they're gone.

    Harvest is really a bad example here GGG have kind of repeatedly said for years they the biggest mistake they ever made in the game was making Hsrvedt core

    The two main factors that I think tells us that GGG will make SOK go core is, that the mechanic is so different from all other content in the game and they love content diversity, and the fact that it's Kings March and not any other city name makes the perfect connection to PoE 2.

    I've been wanting to continue playing this league more than any other one in a long time. I love having my workers do things for me while I'm at work. My only real complaint is that I cant farm enough gold to really run everything like mappers at full capacity due to my time constraints which is ironic since afk running mappers was one of the things I was most looking forwards to this league. I'm hoping to see more interaction between mining ore and delving, like finding gold nodes or double ore nodes. Seems to make sense thematically and would make delve more fun.

      Use lower-tier workers? Particularly miners and smythes. From my observations, it's better (more gold-efficient) to keep lower-tier miners and smythes working 24/7, than to keep Tier 10s working only a few hours.

    This is my favourite league in a long, long time.
    I am sat with more divines and chaos than ever at this point in a league I have been able to do pinnacle bosses for the first time as i havnt gotten board of a character before getting it to a point where it could as building characters is more fun for me than pushing them to the high end.
    I may be biased as most of the rewards that i have gotten have been very good compaired to most of people have said that they have received. Like my mappers running tier one maps and dropping me a Soul Taker and 4 divines in one map.
    For me it feels like it's a evolution of the hideout. Only think it really needs is a map device and I won't be using mine nearly as much as it just feels better in my opinion.

    i'm a noob but why would they get rid of an expansion? hiest, mapping, sanctum where all expansions that had a bigger system than usual

    • @GoodGuyGaming3
      @GoodGuyGaming3  2 месяца назад

      So leagues are different from expansions in precise terms for POE. Expansions are typically a once a year major late game update, introducing new end game mapping systems and/or bosses. Sirius, guardians, Maven, Exarch, Eater, all that stuff has come via expansions. Leagues are large patches throughout the year that come with a temporary economy (3-4 months) and usually a good amount of content added to the game (heist, sanctum, kingsmarch, etc). Not every league goes core to the gameplay of path of exile. Sometimes leagues that are not deemed by the GGG team as being healthy, helpful, or good for the direction of the game are not included as regular content for future engagement by players (such as Necropolis League, Trial of the Ancients, Synthesis way back, etc). Sometimes a league "goes core" and is added to the game, and sometimes it does not. Hope that answers you mate!

  • @jbcox101
    @jbcox101 2 месяца назад +1

    I know this will not happen, as GGG has never done anything remotely close to it but my hope with it going core is to combine it with heist and expedition, to make it all one unified process that can run all in tandum alongside of running maps. make it so you have to heist to get bars out of small chests, run expedition to get crops, and the shipping and disenchanting happen in Kingsmarch. Interact with everyone in Kingsmarch, and upgrade the town as a whole to tier x, instead of each individually since it wont be the main league (I wish this was the case with heist as well instead of each person and each person only had line one item slot, that is the single worst thing about heist for me, not doors. It takes forever for it to feel like it comes online). since the characters are already part of the town, it would be super easy to make it make sense lore wise too.
    Again, I know this is a pipe dream and won't happen but I think it would all work really well together.

  • @Raycheetah
    @Raycheetah Месяц назад +1

    For those of us who aren't end-game power brokers, Kingsmarch lends some much needed opportunities to make some scratch. We plebes will get some satisfaction from out petty scrabblings in the dirt. Add to that the satisfaction of building up the town, and watching our workers grinding out commodities *for* us, and this is the formula for long-term engagement. Curiously, gold drops have made me unconsciously expect *other* currencies to autoloot, and a strange feeling of dissatisfaction when they don't. I wonder if GGG is training us to expect that? =^[.]^=

  • @raikaria3090
    @raikaria3090 2 месяца назад +2

    GGG have said the currency exchange exists as a test to see if it can be done permamently. they have even laid the groundwork for it being permament with Faustus in hideout. All they need is to keep gold dropping [perhaps less often without the sinks in Kingsmarch]
    As for Kingsmarch itself going core; some things would have to be tweaked. Worker management will be a lot less of a thing if resources are only popping up 1/x maps. I doubt Kingsmarch is the sort of thing that could really get atlas support or scarabs. If the resources are not spawning every map; you're going to need to increase the yield per resource.
    Rebalances aside; I see no real issue with it going core; as a source of Tattoos especially.

  • @johnnyp6202
    @johnnyp6202 2 месяца назад +1

    Talkative Tri is convinced that basically none of it is going core, but I cannot imagine basically it all going core. Ships and map runners increase retention. The currency exchange completely changes the dynamics of getting currency. And gold feels so natural in POE from the first time something dropped gold. It is really more of an expansion but they might risk killing the game if it does not go core it is so compelling.

    A day or two ago Ghazzy did a little complaint about how you could use gold for the exchange or gold for your town, but not both. He saw that as a negative. I see it as a positive. You have a choice. You can run your town or you can play the stock market in your hideout. It's giving the player choice. If you are doing your town and you want to switch, you just let it run out or sideline all of your workers for a while. I think the game is better by giving us easy choices like that rather than giving us everything all at once.

    While I like the currency exchange it feels better to sell something to get chaos than use chaos to buy something price wise with gold mainly.
    Another thing feeling is that during the acts I was like yeah I am getting enough gold to keep my town going but mainly from the moment I hit half way maps I feel like I cant keep up with my gold to keep the town running. I scrambled my gold around from a few play sessions and got to nearly 200k gold and I know if I just let it in the town I get like 1,5 to 2 days worth out it and it is gone while it took a lot longer than that to get it which makes me feel a bit bombed out by.

    Honestly, the majority of the league content is mid as far as content, its very underwhelming for rewards. Map runners and shipping are basically bubble gum machine vendors. Have an occasional valdo puzzle box, divine, or memory. I have a full set of tier 10 map runners and im running 8 mod maps, and the rewards are underwhelming. There is only one good thing of the league, and thats the currency market. The city building and hiring the settlers is engaging. But when u complete your city, the rewards arent worth the effort. I even had 3 sets of map runners, and the rewards never scaled up. I think the happy reactions feels like Metamorph league. Everyone rated it as a good league, but it wasnt the league mechanic that made everyone happy. It was the expansion of the conquerors. I think when people will look back at this league, the currency market is the only relevant thing introduced, the only thing that made this league highly popular. Agreed. Especially how workers can be lost. It should be something you can invest resources in where you steadily make progress, like gearing a character, not something that requires reinvesting in. It's like if they put durability on gear and you had to ensure you had enough resources to fix your gear, otherwise you'd brick your character. It's stressful and not fun. They should make Kingsmarch more expensive but without upkeep other than feeding maps/sending shipments. Both of those things require enough involvement. Building Kingsmarch could instead be more expensive/require currency investment up front. It could also scale by gearing your map runners.
