I work in a shop and I've only worked on one Porsche but seeing how they actually make sure everything is in tip top shape is just awesome. I hope I get to become an engineer one day and do this!!!
Everybody's talking how it didn't change in looks, well yeah it's a 911 they obviously will keep the same classic design, just modernise the small details now and then. What do you expect? A pickup truck?
yep remember when they changed the headlamp design? Well i think they learned from that, I really love the new Carrera, it stands flush like the old(2017) Carrera GTS, they obviously started their new Carrera from there
@@Noname-lk2ol The classic and iconic look of the 911 is such a big factor in the appeal of Porsches, imo. At least with a Porsche you know it will always look good and you won't have to worry about them creating a monstrosity like Toyota did with the new Supra (In terms of appearance at least).
How did I just watch every second of this for the second time this week. The human mind is a wonderland full of untapped beauty. This is not just a car, this is art.
Absolutely unreal. All those hours of skilled work and talent coming together. And to make an amazing fine machine in the end. I guess I never knew how much went into this kind of thing! I sat through the whole 37 minutes and was so into it the whole time. WHAT A SWEET CAR THAT IS
They keep repeating the same product with only the most subtle of changes every year, over and over again. That is why they are experienced in such work. This design is conservative, and I like it, but it is not as if they are designing a completely new car each try.
This car isn’t being made it’s a prototype. Most car manufacturers do this. It saves money building it from clay and allows them to shape it and edit it easily
I knew design departments use a lot of clay, but until today I never really even considered that interiors were developed the same way. This was my dream job as a kid.
I have obligations and other things to attend to but can't stop watching this very informative and captivating video. Thank you Porsche, for such timeless creativity helping me to escape my worldly affairs.
If nothing else I would buy this car for the interior design alone. It's so beautiful and modern while paying homage to the original air cooled 911 interior. It looks like it was done by restomod companies like Singer or the Ring Bros.
These guys did it all on this car. Imagined it, Drew it, carved it, wrapped it, colored it, rims, interior design, exterior design, 3D print, build it (real parts) Aerodynamic test it, drive it, sell it 🔥
That black 911 is an absolute dream!! Absolutely wonderful car. I say my favorite test/part was the streamline. That was really cool to see in action. It's crazy how down pat they got these pieces of art.
The precision is almost creepy Also, I’m loving that there isn’t any music, so that we can truly experience what it must be like working on a high end sports car.

They chased all the interns and students who normally do all the work out for filming purposes. Then made up an old car they knew how to design from memory. A child could do what they do. But they wont let you know that.
Great video , A new kind of respect for Porsche and it's development - You could almost say 99% of any accidents in this Porsche would be due to driver error and not the car.
I like to imagine that there's at least one guy there who is just so fed up with cars and building cars, and wants to go back to work on his family's farm, but he is just so talented on car aesthetics and not on farming so he's stuck there cursing his fate having to work for Porsche! xD
Porsche intended to cancel the model 911 in the 80s and replace it by model 928. But this Car was not very successful. Therefore they kept the 911 in there product range. Without the 911 Porsche would be insolvent. Of course the design of the 911 is unique and timeless (a flat VW Beetle), but on the other hand it does not speak for the Porsche designers that they are able to create a new model with a similar successful design.
