    Who Drives a Cadillac .... One , Someone that can afford one , two Someone over 50 , Three someone that enjoys luxury and my CT6 plug in has a lot of power with the Turbo. The transition from Electric to Gas and back is smooth and quiet . The price of REGULAR is now at 2.48 a gallon , this car burns Hi-Test ( 91 octane or higher ) . After owning the car 3 months , I stopped and put all of 6 gallons into it , which I had to force into the cap-less tank at $3.15 a gallon . ... at this rate it will pay for itself at the pump. Current mileage showing 132.5 mpg ... total miles 2175 ( electric 1739 miles ) Getting up on the highway is lightening fast . My only complaint ... Sits to low and Tire Stops and Curbs SCARE ME but the front camera comes on and tells me when and where all objects are out front. Love the birds eye view surround that lets me know whats around the car when backing and the self parking program is a breeze . Perhaps my favorite toy is the Cruise Control where the car will maintain a distance from the vehicle in front of me and as they slow down I slow down ... no more kicking the cruise off because traffic is slowing .

      @@AliciaNPrice --- I'm sure you could find one by searching Cargurus For the Cadillac CT6 Hybrid plug-in.
      I just came home on April 29th ( Last Monday ) with a 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury 3. If you are looking to buy a car ALWAYS deal close to the end of the month. They have a monthly quota and wheel and deal.

    I really my CT6 Plug-in but its sits so darn low and I have trouble clearing speed bumps . SLOW AND EASY over railroad tracts and pot holes scare the hell out of me .... Its great that the front camera comes on when guiding into a parking space or judging parking in the garage. I am thrilled with the plug-in fuel savings and after 4 months of ownership just put a 1/4 tank of premium fuel 91 octane or higher . Next car will be a plug in SUV with all the toys .....

      I bought a 2018 CT6 2.0E plug-in in March 2020 with 575 miles. It now has 30,000 miles and I usually see 2,000 miles per tank or over 100 mpg!

      I use 245mm Michelin Alpin snow tires in CLE area snow. With all the weight over the rear wheels because of 400 lbs battery behind the back it seat it does have a Porsche like rear bias.

    My 2017 CT6 Plug-in delivered just 2.5 months ago started out with 31 EV miles and now that the weather has dropped in temperature to the 30's , parked in the garage and charged up on a 240 charger the dash is only registering 28 miles available on a full charge . ...... Can someone tell me why ?

    • @RichardJoashTan
      @RichardJoashTan 7 лет назад

      It depends on the temperature. I suggest that you have to manage the battery efficiently. Maybe it has something to do with the weather conditions in your country.

    • @sinclabs
      @sinclabs 6 лет назад +2

      A few reasons:
      1. Electric car batteries do not like the cold. They operate best at around 74 degrees. 70-80 degrees would provide maximum range.
      2. In the cold you use your heated seats, heated steering wheel and climate controls. All zap the electric range of the vehicle.
      3. Note that the range is an estimate based on recent travel. It may be 60 degrees in the garage, but the last time you took out the car it was 30 degrees and that is the reference point it is using when estimating your range.

    • @normt430
      @normt430 2 года назад

      The Voltec actually averages the guess-o-meter so the more efficient you the higher the average. Mine shows 36-38 miles in the wintertime and 43-45 miles from spring through fall. I usually average just under 40 mpg.

    so where you put the gas, on top.

    • @normt430
      @normt430 2 года назад

      Gas filler stays on right side and the charging plug is easy access on the left side. This makes sense as you will be opening the charging flap more than the gas one.

    Wait so is it made in China? Why not just buy an American made TESLA for the same price?

    • @RichardJoashTan
      @RichardJoashTan 7 лет назад +3

      It is because of the tax incentives. Plus, I personally prefer the Cadillac CT6 Plug-In Hybrid over the Tesla because not only I am influenced by the Father if the Chevrolet Volt, my another reason is that I am a Honda fan.

      I think they expect to sell the vast majority of this trim in China. As such, setting up two production lines or shipping most of the cars from a small market location doesn't make good business sense. I get that it's not the emotional choice, but I get why they did it.

    Pretty useless in my opinion. What is the point of a hybrid that gets the same MPG as the non-hybrid version? You can go up to 31 miles on an overnight electric charge ($2.16)? You get a lot of tax credits and can drive in the HOV lane? I really can't think of a good reason to get this over the luxury CT6 since the benefits are trivial at the expense of cargo capacity, weight, and a more complex drive-train.

    • @christianhill7156
      @christianhill7156 7 лет назад +3

      Kevin Smith it gets 62 mpg which is not the same a non hybrid

    • @KevinSmith-qi5yn
      @KevinSmith-qi5yn 7 лет назад +1

      It's a plug-in hybrid so the mpg numbers tend to be inflated using the EPAs metric. After running through the initial electric charge, the hybrid system consumes as much fuel as a non-hybrid type vehicle. Here is the disclaimer on the CT6 Hybrid from Cadillac:
      EPA estimated 31 mile range based on 62 MPGe combined city/highway (electric). 430-mile extended range based on 25 mpg combined city/highway (gas).
      For this vehicle, you pay more for it. Have to plug it in overnight where fully charging the battery costs around $2.16, and the MPG statistic on the vehicle is hurt by the all the weight added by the system.

    • @christianhill7156
      @christianhill7156 7 лет назад +2

      Kevin Smith yeah but for me I’m not gonna drive it more than 20 miles a day....to the train and back. It will pretty much always stay in ev mode unless I go outa town. I’m gonna drive to the train station and commute to work. But I might just get the corvette or xts

    • @KevinSmith-qi5yn
      @KevinSmith-qi5yn 7 лет назад

      I don't understand the point in getting an EV if you are only driving it short distances unless it has a much smaller battery to reduce the weight. It costs more in general and produces more greenhouse gases over it's lifetime with the cost of producing the battery.

    • @christianhill7156
      @christianhill7156 7 лет назад +2

      Kevin Smith not if 90% of the driving you do is battery, 60% of that is commuting and i live in a densely populated area which means the area is greener

      @Naughtysauce hello idiot . The name of the game is go stop pollution. I don't care how much faster you can fill up that damn car with gasoline. The environment needs relief. Gas electric cars are oil companies fighting to continue selling barrels of crude.

      I love the Volvo interior as it is segment best. But the small battery range is not as good as my 2018 CT6 2.0E plug-in at 43-45 miles. Nor does the T8 see almost 40 mpg highway. I currently see over 100 mpg and about 2,000 miles per tank of gasoline.
      Plus I got it with only 575 miles for $38,000 in March 2020.
