If you want some more Croatian dishes and drinks try : peka (meat and potato dish made on an exterior hearth) buzara (sea dish made out of shrimp and oysters) zagrebački odrezak (steak filled with cheese) pašticada (sweet tasting beef) šurlice (type of pasta, my favorite type of pasta that is very popular in Kvarner) fritule (dessert dough balls topped with powdered sugar, had them today, best eaten hot) teran (Istrian black wine) prošek (Dalmatian dessert wine, not to be confused with the Italian prosecco) medica (honey rakia)
MMm thx for the idea, gonna get some čevapčiče rigth now... Anyway, it's cute how you keep saying čevapčiči! Hehe sound so funny in english. Cool video as always, keep them coming!
Ajvar is made from eggplant and red horn paprika. When you add tomato and onion than you get pinđur.

I see others commented already, but as a Croat I feel the need to do the same... Please for God's sake, never ever again eat cevapi like a sandwitch, or with a fork and knife. You eat it with your fingers, take a bite of the meat, then bread, and you dip each piece in either ajvar or kajmak, or both if you like 😄 it has a totaly different taste when you eat like that 😉
First dish is not really traditional Croatian food, it's more of an eastern influence. Turkey&mlinci would be a good one to try in Zagreb/continental Cro. Enjoy ZG!
Your pronunciation is pretty good well done.
please eat ćevapi with your hands as everybody :)
samo svinje jedu s rukama
We LOVED the food in Zagreb!
Me too! 😆

Hi there!
Please ask people in Croatia to show you how to properly eat. I am not happy when I see foreigners not enjoying food properly.
brgds
I later discovered that you go all in with the hands to eat this. I love it 😍

There's no tomatoes in ajvar, ingredients are: red peppers, eggplants and garlic.
We eat cevapi with hands. It's not inappropriate.
just please stay at home. eating cevapi with fork???
