    I LOOOOOOVVVEEEE this driver, so good. so easy to handle, no surprises, very well balanced through out the swing. Weight is also quite centered in the driver. Also i can bomb drives up to 230-240m with ease using these.

    Price must be an import thing. XXIO are really popular and common here in New Zealand. Pretty sure the original retail price for this Driver here was about $1000 NZ, which is about 480 pounds, and way cheaper than the equivalent Callaway, Titleist, Taylormade etc. Golf Warehouse currently has it (being a couple of years old now), for $599. I picked up the same model 3 Hybrid for $199 NZ (down from $430ish) the other day.

      Same in Australia - and Matt, don’t forget the target market. It’s not competing with Stealth, Rogue and their successors. It’s designed for us old farts with a more moderate swing speed. I love mine and am just about to upgrade to the 13 X. I also have the woods and hybrids.

    XXIO is always super expensive and usually lacks in performance of the other mainstream clubs. Lots of women at the private club I worked at loved their drivers, but they never really tried anything else. I'll probably never own one of these clubs, even if I can afford it. Cobra all the way in the driver game 💪 love the honest review as always!

    performance can also mean a tighter dispersion depending on what you are looking to get out of the driver. so in my opinion the driver performed well.

    It maybe more expensive in the UK compared to Japan because of the import charges when it arrives in the UK. From your testing, the driver seems to be a good fairway finder which is never a bad thing and at the end of the day all of these tests depend on the pilot using it.

  • @tezzlacoilz
    @tezzlacoilz 2 года назад

    Xxio has always positioned themselves as more premium. But also the thing to note is that they are specifically designed for slower swing speed or "average" players. So testing with someone with a decent ss isnt a great test in my opinion. They generally are designed to have more spin to get the ball up in the air for longer which is what older players generally struggle with.

    Don't know where the hate is on the price. TourSpec tried to sell me a Stealth with an Accura shaft that was 1000$. Not to mention the fitter asked if I wanted to hit the Autoflex and that combination was 1300$. Decided to go second-hand.

    Funny that it is mainly for the Japanese market ,, but it is 1/2 longer, makes you think as the Japanese are not as tall in stature as us , all ping drivers with there own shafts are 1/2 longer and the cobras come in longer with the across grip , ping are known for the best drivers for the ordinary club golfer

    I like the review and it looks like a premium quality driver but I don't think it's fair to expect more yardage because you pay more. Obviously a human can only hit the ball so far unless you've trained as a long drive hitter. Personally I would never pay this amount for any club. But for the rich, I guess it's a nice addition to the bag. You must admit, you were hitting it awfully well AND straight !

    Way to overpriced if my ball flight was bullet straight and I was gaining an extra 20 yards of carry then maybe it might be worth considering a fitting, but I am so happy with my SIM2 . Another great video Matt I always enjoy your coaching tips especially short game stuff 👍

    • @Mizman76
      @Mizman76 2 года назад

      😆you say that is overpriced when you have a SIM2?!?! You are fooled. A 5yr old driver performs EXACTLY the same as this XXIO and also your SIM2. It's a certain lofted face with exactly the same COR numbers. Shaft may be better but the clubheads have been maxed out for well over a decade. Sorry to burst your bubble but it's the truth. Your Sim is no better than a 2016-17 M2 that you could get for a third of what your Sim2 cost. Don't fall for the marketing ploys they feed you.
