  • Creating outstanding systems engineers is not a trivial problem. Moreover it is a problem which cannot be remedied by traditional postgraduate and continuing education courses.
20 years of research into systems engineering and education produced the EverCourse format. It is an innovative format that overcomes the deficiencies of the traditional postgraduate and continuing education courses including the flipped classroom and brings the experience element into the class. The course is flexible to fit the student’s schedule, allows time for dealing with real-world problems as well as the academic exercises and incorporates feedback to minimize miscommunications.
The prototype course has been running for more than a year and the talk discusses some of the results, and advantages and disadvantages of the format. The major advantage to the student and disadvantage to the instructor is that the course format will only work if the instructor understands the subject matter and is not teaching the book.
This talk follows up on the previous showing my efforts at creating successful outstanding systems engineers.
