I don’t normally leave comments, but I’m going through a really tough season right now and I wanted you to know that I appreciate you and the positive content that you put out. I had an especially hard day today, and hanging out with you while you cleaned your kitchen made me feel less a lone. keep being your beautiful self, Becky.
Wow thanks for sharing this with me. It's a pleasure to make these videos and I am honored they can help you in any way. Thanks for being here and I pray your days get brighter and brighter - Becky
I agree. Becky videos make hard days a lot better. Sorry you’ve been having some hard days. Thanks for your videos Becky. You really are a breath of fresh air. “Thank you for being you!”
Hey, you have such a creative personality that sometimes getting and being messy just comes with the territory. It’s not a bad thing at all, it’s quite lovely to be so creative, it just means you’ll need to organize a litttle more often than other people . Being a minimalist, I don’t think, is within your personality. And if it’s not within you, it will make you feel like you’re failing more often than not. Keep being you my friend because you’re awesome ❤
Being a minimalist & great cook don’t go hand-in-hand you need all those lovely flavors😊 That’s what the pantry near the kitchen is for. Lining those walls with all the stuff so you can see them is a perfect place. Cover your window in there to protect the integrity of the herbs & spices.
Becky, you are such a breath of fresh air. I lost my husband Thanksgiving weekend and am busy downsizing so I can move into a small condo. You are my inspiration and everything you do is amazing. Your show gets me through the rough days. Thank you for being there for me!
Those wooden lids on your mason jars looked so pretty on your kitchen shelf. I'll miss seeing them. Also, don't apologize for keeping the things you want to keep, even if it's multiple sets of the same thing. I have dozens of those tiny spatulas; I use them for everything. Minimalism isn't for everyone, despite what YT would have us believe. You need what you need in the quantity you need it. Every kitchen is different. Finally, Dana K White has some great strategies for decluttering that really help with the 'overwhelm' of it all. The kitchen looks great! ~ Lisa
Girl, you left this 80 year old woman tired. But I felt so good after we finished cleaning and putting everything in it's place. Lord, have mercy 😂♥️🧓🏼😘
On the door of your spice cabinet, you should keep a list of all the spices you have stored in the cabinet, possibly even the amount, so that you can keep track of what you have without having to actually sort through the cabinet. I find this to be a way to deal with the overwhelming amount of spices in a confined space, especially where things tend to get buried behind each other.
Becky, I don’t know if you have ever read it but I just finished How To Keep a House While Drowning and it made me think of you and how you approach things. I have struggled with depression and chronic illness the past few years. I went from an active momma who baked her own bread, raised chickens/cows and sheep, gardens and everything to having times I couldn’t even get out of bed. I always loved and appreciated the way that you would speak to yourself while tackling big projects. While I always considered myself a pretty organized and clean person, I was always hard on myself whenever things fell to the wayside, and had never had an example of somebody who handled those things with such grace as you do. The book reminded me so much of of you and how thankful I am to have an example not only through the book but also of you on how to keep a home without being overwhelmed. Thank you!
Just want to let you know you are not alone on this world. I was also very active strong healthy independent mom of 5 and now I am no longer. I have ms. And it's aggressive. Everyday I have to work so incredibly hard and it's not even 1/5th of what I used to do. As long as we are doing the best we can, we should be proud of ourselves. I try to remind myself if my kidd will remember our cleam home or thst I was on the couch, yes, but I snuggled up to them. The latter is more important to me. Keep on keeping on! And give yourself love on those days you can't function. ❤
I haven't ever read that book but I will! Thanks for the recommendation and for sharing part of your story with me. I have struggled with anxiety and the struggle can be so real when dealing with mental health. I am honored my video can be an encouragement to you. thanks so much for being here and being a part of this. - Becky
Who's taking bets on how long it will be before Becky goes through those teeny little jars of onion and garlic powder for the first time? 😄 love a good reorganisation and I love how readily you iteratively improve your working space!
I was thinking the same thing. She will walk herself to death up and downstairs when she does one of those freezer meal dinner days LOL But I give her an A for effort she is the hardest working stay at home for sure
KEEP THOSE LITTLE JARS! But, I don’t think you’ll like how fast you go through your spices. You willl be refilling those little ones sooooo often, you will kick yourself. But….please save the little jars for something else. You will find a need later. Very costly and I love them.
I could see quickly! Those little ones s are cute but she should leave her quart jars underneath and not downstairs. I thought she went to the bigger quarts for that reason, to not run out! I love you though Becky!!
Becky try the vanilla powder added to your ground coffee before you turn the machine on once and see if it tastes good? Was my first thought. Also my mum has dementia and you are the only thing she is willing to watch on tv, so thank you for being YOU as you would say! Helps keep mum calm watching your videos as you are so calm natured and the videos are a pleasure to watch for all of us! ❤❤❤❤
Hi Becky! A random thought popped into my head the other day, I've been following you since 5K subscribers. I remember the first video I watched, you were chasing your dogs down the street at the old house. 😂 You were trying to get to work and they escaped. I decided then that I really liked you and have stuck around since. I don't comment too often, but I'm always around, lurking and watching. Thank you for working so hard to provide us with such awesome content. I truly, truly enjoy your channel. -Heather
That’s the EXACT video I was watching when I first discovered Becky; I just had a flashback when you described it! 😆. We been here a LONG TIME, haven’t we?!
I was in the 60K group of followers and I’ve never looked back. @acrehomestead BECKY, You taught me how to grow my first garden and now getting ready for year 3. You have taught me so many things over the past 3 1/2 years it’s really mind blowing when I think about it. My sister always say “ how do you know how to make all of these things? You need to teach me” My reply is Always From My Girl Becky. 😊 She is a fantastic baker so when I made her the Homemade Vanilla it blew her mind. So thank you sweet Becky for taking time out of Your Day to Spend with US 🙏🏼🙌🏽🔪👒🏡🥖🎃🥔🧑🏼🌾
Note: Do not bother to put things (like beef gelatin) into smaller containers. Always keep it in the size container that will take a full refill. That way you will both realize when you’re running low and reserve the space to house a full amount of it. Use one container up completely, clean it before refilling.
Take time to make a written inventory of your spices, print it out & tape to the inside of your cupboard door. Update as necessary. This helps me keep up with things. I keep an inventory for my chest freezer too.
I came to say the same thing. I have inventory sheets for everything. I now know how many of each thing is in my pantry or freezers. I can also access them more easily to see how low my stock is when I see an item that I use regularly is on sale.
Scroll, scroll, scroll through RUclips....OH, WAIT!!! It's my friend, Becky. Hanging out with her is so much fun. Thank you for making videos and keeping it real. You are entirely relatable and fun.
First off, I LOVE your channel! I’m one of your first subs! You totally amaze me with the amount of work you get done! One of the reasons you can be that way is because you’re speedy. Since you’re always in a hurry, or being efficient as you put it, it’s easy to not stick with your organization. Being quicker drives you and enables you to get so much done, wish I was more like you. I’m waaaay too methodical! Every time you organize, you talk about being more of a minimalist with your spices. If I may suggest, since your spinning cabinet messes with your mind, don’t keep your spices and herbs in there! Maybe keep empty storage items in there or small appliances. You found so many spices and herbs in there you thought you were out of, you just don’t get in there and use that space because you don’t like it. So don’t put food in it. Kombucha is the exception, great idea!!! I love you being you! You go, girl!
Hi Becky from the UK. I love how you're perfectly imperfect in as much as you're an incredible cook and you're also completely honest with the failures as well as the successes and that behind the doors of your lovely kitchen, are messy drawers and cupboards just like the rest of us. This is a great video. Thank you 😊
You are so warm and welcoming that I do think of you as a friend. I was watching Hollar Homestead yesterday and saw you at the pig butchering work shop and thought "oh there's my friend Becky." I appreciate all you hints and especially the freezer meals and prepping ideas you share.
OHMIGOSH! I'm glad I'm not the only one who calls her that, and that I was right when I saw her on their vlog! I always tell my significant other that "my friend Becky" does this or that, etc! She is so inspiring!
Becky, you were so right about shredded cheese! “Cooking with Pam” posted that powdered cellulose is wood chips and Natamyacin is a prescription eye drug! Stay away from pre-shredded cheeses everyone! Be safe! String, slices and blocks are fine.
This is a DIY Oven Cleaner that I love. Works great on the racks too. DIY Oven Cleaner ¼ cup of dish soap ½ cup of lemon juice 1 cup of vinegar 1 ¼ cup of water Combine ingredients in a large spray bottle and shake gently to mix. Spray the solution in your stove (including on the inside of the door), then let it sit for a little while. Use a damp cloth to wipe off the solution, and your stove will look like a million bucks.
That was a good call to streamline your spices! My suggestion would be to add a frosted contact paper to the front of your bottom glass cupboards. Then you could use this for storing your muffin liners, sifter, bag holders etc, without it looking messy from the outside. That was a very productive day!
I am torn between exhaustion and inspiration watching you! I am a slob compared to most folks, but even more compared to you. Lately, I will give myself a pep talk to get me started on a project: “Be like Becky!”
Becky may I make a suggestion? You have an incredible wall of shelves in your walk in pantry. I would put all the spices that you don’t use often there so you can see what you have. ❤❤❤
becky maybe instead of storing all your overflow herbs down stairs you could utilize the wall shelving space in your upstairs pantry-- since they are mainly in jars it would be easier for you to just grab what you ran out of--just a thought🙃
@@christinatm I also find that larger items such as mixing bowls, colanders, and a salad spinner fill up the corner cabinet well and are easier to grab than the smaller items.
You should consider getting those dissolvable labels. If your jars and lids stay dry, the labels stay on for a long time, but easily rinse off when you're ready to use it for something else
Becky - the drawer under the oven is eventualy not a foodwarmer I think it is a dishwarmer for plates to warm up before you put on the food ( used on party or big dinners)🥰❤ greetings from germany
Maybe those metal measuring cups could be used in your garden area. I use my old ones for getting potting soil out of the bag and into my flower pots. I have another inside the cat food container. Just have to think outside the box. Thanks for inspiring us to “Be like Becky” and get organized. ❤
I store all my herbs and spices in smaller jars in racks on the inside of my pantry door. I keep the extra in a cabinet in the long term storage and just refill the smaller jars as I use them up. I arrange everything alphabetically and it makes it so easy to find what I'm looking for. It's like free space!
I would A: stick to your mason jars, they are bigger and you are a cook that goes through your herbs and spices. B: Put all your spices from that bottom corner cabinet lined up and in plain sight in your small walk in pantry and use that little corner cabinet only for like your reusable grocery bags…trash bags…cleaning supplies..because those corner cabinets are always a cluster and things get lost. Less really is more at times because too much you can’t find it to use it anyways. Good luck on your organization!
we have a worming drawer and we love it. its great for when you are having a big meal and you need the first thing done to stay warm till it is time to sit, or you want to have salad first.
Hi Becky, I’ve been thinking about how fun it’s been to watch your growth as a cook, a vlogger and recipe developer. I’ve been following you for about two years. One improvement on your channel is related to your new home, the light in your kitchen is really lovely and the videos look great. You also have so much space, which you are able to organize very well. But I see your development as a cook where you seem to be able to pivot if you don’t have an ingredient or if something doesn’t go according to plan. I also enjoy all the new recipes you try! You have always been skilled and inspiring. The channel is terrific, thank you!
Hi Becky love watching. I’m from Australia and we use golden syrup to make Anzac biscuit or Anzac slice. Anzac biscuits are an Aussie tradition around Anzac Day.
I LOVE ANZAC cookies! I make them as well and although the original recipe called for golden syrup, I sometimes substitute honey and they turn out equally delicious. Few people in the US know anything about ANZAC but I have a friends from New Zealand and I began making them when he told me how great they are.
Hi Becky, my mother, two younger sisters and my only girl cousin were and are still well organized, 'tidy types'. A place for everything and everything in its place. They can Spring clean any room in their houses in about 20 minutes.....where was I when God passed out those genes!? :) This video has inspired me, given me fresh ideas for my own kitchen (and other spaces) and lifted my spirits with new hope in myself. I can do it! Love your channel and always waiting for new content. Have a fabulous 2024! Hugs!
I beat you to it on this one, Becky! I've been systematically going through my kitchen cleaning out, throwing out, donating and reorganizing. I still have my baking supplies cabinet to do. Decided to wait on it until baking season was over so I could do some restocking as well. Oh, I made the most delicious white chicken lasagna this past weekend! Found the recipe on Natasha's YT site. Happy to share the link if anyone interested!
For some reason the link I posted isn't working. Go to Natasha's Kitchen and look for chicken recipes. It's in there. Let me know if you try it and what you and Josh think. FYI, I'm not a huge spinach fan so I chopped it up pretty small so I wouldn't taste it! 😂😂
Oh, and I saved time because I can now use the chopped onions and minced garlic I keep in the freezer and the noodles came out great because I put them in cold water after they were cooked. All thanks to you, Becky!
Becky, you are an absolute PRO at getting yourself back on track. Good for you! It's so hard for me, my monkey-mind goes 50 steps ahead of where I truly am, making almost every task seem harder than it is. Stopping yourself and reminding yourself to FOCUS is simple, but brilliant. 👏🏼 🙌🏼 👏🏼
I love to keep things in mason jars so I can clearly see what's in them, but I HAVE to label them...even if it's just good old masking tape and a black marker. I would definitely make a list of what I had and keep that list handy somewhere so you don't end up buying things you already have, and don't it doesn't go out of date. Cleaning out always feels soooo good!
You shouldn’t feel bad at all. So many of us can relate. I’ve started both of my pantries and spices and I was right where you are now about a month ago! I’m making myself do it more than just once a year. Somehow things end up at the back of all the shelves and I keep bringing more of the same in!
Oh my gosh! I’m working on my kitchen organizational skills too! I’ve been watching your channel & now I’m cleaning/organizing my kitchen as well! Thank you Becky. I’ve learned so much from you! My husband is happier too! 🤣♥️
You are such an inspirational and motivated person.I love the realness of you, your expressions, and your reactions to things that happen in real time. You have a lifetime subscriber here!❤❤❤
The spice reduction is real. I used to have almost every spice you could possibly have. I put everything in boxes and ask I used them, they made their way to the actual nice spice jars in the kitchen. After just 6 months, I just threw the rest away. So much better
😮 well now, that makes too much sense, lol. That’s what I do with my clothes (hangers backwards at beginning of year), anything not worn by the next January is gone.
Becky, Something my mother did that I carried on in my own house: ALL food items go in upper cupboards. Containers, pans and everything else go in lower cupboards. I would suggest you put all of your clean, unused canning jars in the lazy Suzan cupboard. And then you will not lose the items.
I just organized my kitchen this past weekend.i feel less stressed in there now. I also just organized my canning room as well. I also just placed a huge order for food and medicinal seeds. You have become such a big influence in my life. Thank you for being you.😊
Becky, I am right there with you on not giving yourself overwhelming amounts of things to manage. Life does that to us enough without adding more. Something I give myself as a gift every year is a week of spring cleaning my whole house. (my B-day is in the early spring so I take that week off.) I spend 8 hours each day of that week just like a job. I go room by room and literally empty every closet, every drawer and every shelf in that room clean those things and then go through the process of putting it back. I question everything before I put it back though. 1. Have I see it or used it in the last year? 2. Mark it so I have to see it or use it in the next year! 3. Items I do not use or display within the year that were marked MUST GO! For clothes, I hang items in the closets backwards, those still hanging backwards next year have to go. Clothing in drawers and such get a clothes pin through the tag. Those not unpinned with the year MUST GO! When this is all done, my house is clean for the next year and I have given myself and my family the gift of room to grow, breath and less to worry about. Also I know exactly what is in my house, including the storage spaces! It is a great big job every year, but having done it for a decade I will tell you it is a Great Big relief also.
Hi Becky, I’m a baker and just have an idea for your Vanilla Pods. You can mix them as you did an put it back to the Vanilla Sugar. So the Vanilla Sugar tastes moe intense. Thx for always bringing so much joy 😊
I want you to know how much I respect you and your talents. It has been a great relief to me to know that not everything in your house is spotless and perfect. It makes me feel like there is hope for me. I'm very glad you shared this with us. You do not know how important it is to motivate some of us.
Hi Becky, everything looks really good. I really liked the mason jars for your spices but i understand why you wanted the smaller jars. Good job on everything. Thanks for sharing
For both jars and lids use alcohol based markers like sharpies. You can write in any color to color code your jars and wipe off the writing with rubbing alcohol. It's especially useful when you're transferring stuff from larger to smaller jars
I really enjoy watching your videos. Often it motivates me to accomplish my organize or cook or preserve or garden goals! I watch on the side while I work sometimes if I have menial tasks to accomplish. And I watch while I eat or chill. Thank you for sharing the good and bad of keeping a house a home!
You'll love the corer for strawberries too. Thanks for another great video... appreciate how much effort it must take to put out lengthy videos every other day. ❤
I looove that you don't do a lot of speed ups and cuts to fast forward, but we actually see what you do in real time and it gives me a better sense of how much I time things need and how it actually would be like if I do it and that encourages me so so so much to do the same! I love your videos, I learn a ton and it feels more like being actually with you and spending time with you in the kitchen.
I just threw away a basil plant that I had in my kitchen. It became infested with those pesky fungus gnats. I love how you arranged your deep drawers to store baking supplies in your baking area. I also have deep drawers and am definitely going to get new storage containers that fit in my drawers. Thanks for the idea!
With the way things are in today's economy I would suggest keeping all your spices until it's actually time to throw them away because they have actually expired. Keeping all your seasonings will help allow you to do more specialty videos as a type of food challenge, spice blend videos and how to use them. This is my fifth experience with an economic collapse and things will be real tough the next three years. It's time to squirrel away some things since a lot of spices are imported.
It was definitely time.😳😉 I never, never, never put a jar in a cupboard nor my fridge without a lid because in my experience, that’s just a disaster waiting to happen. 🙄 Glad you got the chance to clean up & sort/clear out/consolidate your spice cupboards & kitchen drawers. Big improvement, I’m sure!
Love it when I see you sorting ,it makes me move. I also love it when all even unseen things are sorted. Yes we all hold to much so charity shop will have a big drop off. 😊😊
I started following you a couple of months ago and I’m obsessed with your channel (not in the crazy way) lol. When I’m in the kitchen I’m like what would Becky do as far as using what I have in my fridge so it won’t go bad. The one thing I would like you to ask is for you to make a heart healthy meal without cheese. I take care of my dad and he can’t have salt or butters r cheese unless fat free. You are an amazing person and love your personality. I’m just wish I had your energy.
You have been blessed with a beautiful pantry....suggestion: you store your bulk spices in your pantry. They are delicate and would probably store better in your pantry as opposed to the basement. Next suggestion: Try using your cupboard in the corner with the turntable shelves for Items like pots or utensils that you don't use real frequently.
Hey Becky! Just a tip with your gochugaru (red pepper flakes). I've seen a lot of horror stories (ok, maybe not horror lol) of them going bad in the bags even if stored in a dry, cool place such as a pantry. A lot of people recommend freezing them to avoid that from happening. It may be something worth researching further since you have a large bag.
I can't stop watching your videos, even though large scale prep is not possible in my tiny kitchen and apartment. But what is that view from your kitchen window? It's beautiful. The distant mountains, meadows and pine trees! I could stare at it all day.
Great video Becky! So many of us are working towards minimalism and it's different for everyone. We're all in a different season of life and there is no one size fits all. I definitely need to review my spice and herbs cupboard soon too. In the meantime thanks for keeping me company while doing some food prep and dishes ❤ see ya soon
Well your kitchen has been a busy place so now is a great time to do a reset. I love the Minimal Mom too! I watch you and her all the time! You motivate me to cook and she motavates me to organize.
I am glad you used your jars and didn’t donate them as jars are crazy expensive - though seeing all of your dehydrated spices being thrown out broke my heart - I’m sure there was a soup kitchen that feeds the homeless or less fortunate that could have used them! I know you are great at gifting and giving back. Food for thought! ❤
Soup kitchens still have to follow food safety guidelines so any opened containers, expired food, or things that didn’t come with manufacturer labels would have to get tossed by them anyways. A lot of volunteer hours are spent having to sort out things that can’t be used or that shouldn’t have been donated in the first place.
@@littleredbenderthank you so much fir saying this. I saw a ton of people commenting they could’ve been donating and I’m sitting here shaking my head saying, no, no they could not because they are opened and used! I would never give anyone something that has been opened and used from house. Not sure why so many people think that would be okay .
Minimalism has been my theory for the past 8 years and every year I find more. It is a much more efficient economical and mind settling approach to a busy life. Keep up the great thoughts amazing cooking and blessed friendships. You are such a pleasure to watch and share time with Becky. Wish you and your sweet lil family the best always

I agree. Becky videos make hard days a lot better. Sorry you’ve been having some hard days. Thanks for your videos Becky. You really are a breath of fresh air. “Thank you for being you!”
Things can get pretty rough sometimes. I hope your heart feels lighter soon. Sending Loving compassion. Hang in there.
Me too! I’ve been watching for years
Wish I had the energy that you do. I’m 71 years old (that’s the first time I said that) but I decided that I want to be like you when I grow up. 😂 ❤
Me too!
Me 3, I wish I was younger with now a days kitchen appliances, I would be in heaven! Just made 4 king cakes for Mardi Gras💃

I'm not sure that I have really seen her being all that creative. I also don't think that she can be a minimalist.
@@lisapop5219 you could be encouraging her that she can do it
@@lisapop5219 you obviously not a true subscriber and watch all her videos she is such an inspiration to many of us
I think and i believe she is trying her best to be committed to being a minimalist person, it needs something in you to be minimalist person--trying.

We keep list on inside of cabinets of what food, spices, and equipment was moved to where in the house.
I do the same. The list is so helpful in tracking the spice inventory.
I was going to just the same thing, as that is what I would do if I had them in a cupboard like that.
That’s an awesome idea... instead of making a list - I’m going to make a pouch shelf 🤣
And label everything!!
Love the look of the LARGE jars on the shelf around the countertop. My vote is for you to keep them there. 💚😊💚
I liked them better too.
I liked the large jars better too. She’s going to miss them as she sees how often she needs to refill them.

You could also vacuum seal the jars that are going downstairs to stay fresher longer as well.
oh that is a good idea! Thanks for watching :)
I was wondering if you could use the vanilla powder for homemade icecream.
@@mousemeat1352 that's a great idea....I need to get vanilla pods from now on and make my own extract and ice cream!
We use vanilla powdered in tea here in Germany!🇩🇪
I now live in Germany, I moved from the area she lives in.. brings back memories!! She is so sweet!
So thank you sweet Becky for taking time out of Your Day to Spend with US 🙏🏼🙌🏽🔪👒🏡🥖🎃🥔🧑🏼🌾
OMG Yes! I remember that one HAHA
@@shesatitagain234 Yes we have! I'm so proud for her! She's worked very hard on her channel.
Switch spices to small jars. Keep fresher. Move larger jars to bulk storage. Extra spices donate to soup kitchen
Exactly - I use spices which are 5 years old ...
Dried food, food in salt/pickled foodstuff & food in sugar/honey cannot go off ...
Exactly! I got so upset when I saw her waste all those herbs. All I kept thinking was someone could have used those. 😢
Note: Do not bother to put things (like beef gelatin) into smaller containers. Always keep it in the size container that will take a full refill. That way you will both realize when you’re running low and reserve the space to house a full amount of it. Use one container up completely, clean it before refilling.
Yes! I was thinking of this while watching.
Take time to make a written inventory of your spices, print it out & tape to the inside of your cupboard door. Update as necessary. This helps me keep up with things. I keep an inventory for my chest freezer too.
Dry erase pads would be perfect for this!
I came to say the same thing. I have inventory sheets for everything. I now know how many of each thing is in my pantry or freezers. I can also access them more easily to see how low my stock is when I see an item that I use regularly is on sale.
Becky if you have a jar lid attachment for your vacuum sealer you can vacuum seal your extra spices and they will stay fresh.
Scroll, scroll, scroll through RUclips....OH, WAIT!!! It's my friend, Becky. Hanging out with her is so much fun.
Thank you for making videos and keeping it real. You are entirely relatable and fun.
Oh please keep the mason jars with the wooden lids! They look so cool! I like them so much better than the Fido jars!
Oh! Keep your empty canning jars in there.
Your white plastic spatula came with your Bosch mixer. It’s actually a very nice one to use with it, since it fits the curves of the bowl.
Oh yes you are right! Good thing the bag is still in the back of my car!
Hi Becky from the UK. I love how you're perfectly imperfect in as much as you're an incredible cook and you're also completely honest with the failures as well as the successes and that behind the doors of your lovely kitchen, are messy drawers and cupboards just like the rest of us. This is a great video. Thank you 😊
I’m watching with my 2 year old and I told him “look it’s Becky!!” And now he keeps saying “hi beppy!!” And I think it’s just the cutest!!!
Look at me watching Becky clean and reorganize her kitchen while mine is in desperate need of help. Sigh. So much more fun to watch her do it.
This is a DIY Oven Cleaner that I love. Works great on the racks too.
DIY Oven Cleaner
¼ cup of dish soap
½ cup of lemon juice
1 cup of vinegar
1 ¼ cup of water
Combine ingredients in a large spray bottle and shake gently to mix.
Love those drawers!!!
I am torn between exhaustion and inspiration watching you! I am a slob compared to most folks, but even more compared to you. Lately, I will give myself a pep talk to get me started on a project: “Be like Becky!”
I was gifted several hundred "desolving" canning labels. I reuse my lids as most of us do for stuff, but the labels make it so easy.
I had a giant roll of them and finally got through them last year. Now they’re so expensive.
Becky may I make a suggestion? You have an incredible wall of shelves in your walk in pantry. I would put all the spices that you don’t use often there so you can see what you have. ❤❤❤
Hey Becky, you should have turned those vanilla pods into vanilla paste! So yummy and easy to do
The smaller loaf pans are nice to keep for making loafs of sweet and regular bread as gifts during the holidays and birthdays, etc.
it would be so cute to put out all your spices on the tiny shelf with the others
becky maybe instead of storing all your overflow herbs down stairs you could utilize the wall shelving space in your upstairs pantry-- since they are mainly in jars it would be easier for you to just grab what you ran out of--just a thought🙃
My thoughts exactly
I was thinking the same. And use the lazy Susan for bowls, strainers, etc. that’s what I do. I would never remember food things in there
@@christinatm I also find that larger items such as mixing bowls, colanders, and a salad spinner fill up the corner cabinet well and are easier to grab than the smaller items.
Becky I love that little shelf and the jars it so convenient for cooking.
Having things organized is just energizing. It makes being in the kitchen more enjoyable. Things look fantastic
You should consider getting those dissolvable labels. If your jars and lids stay dry, the labels stay on for a long time, but easily rinse off when you're ready to use it for something else
I love those dissolveable labels
Becky - the drawer under the oven is eventualy not a foodwarmer I think it is a dishwarmer for plates to warm up before you put on the food ( used on party or big dinners)🥰❤ greetings from germany
I need this distraction so badly today...yall have no idea. THANKS FOR THE CONSISTENCY ❤
I love your videos and the minimal mom. I’m not a minimalist but she gave me courage to donate stuff not being used.
Maybe those metal measuring cups could be used in your garden area. I use my old ones for getting potting soil out of the bag and into my flower pots. I have another inside the cat food container. Just have to think outside the box. Thanks for inspiring us to “Be like Becky” and get organized. ❤
Great work on all the organizing of your drawers in the kitchen. Josh was a great help fixing the broken drawer. You are a good team.
I was going to say the same thing.
we have a worming drawer and we love it. its great for when you are having a big meal and you need the first thing done to stay warm till it is time to sit, or you want to have salad first.
Warming drawer. 😊 sorry made me chuckle 😊
Agreed. Well said. ~ Lisa
Hi Becky love watching. I’m from Australia and we use golden syrup to make Anzac biscuit or Anzac slice. Anzac biscuits are an Aussie tradition around Anzac Day.
These sound delicious. Will have to try to make. Thanks for sharing.
Hugs!
Becky, you have inspired me to start my Spring cleaning now, why wait, I can get it all done while we are snowed in!!!
Watching you work so hard sure is fun. 😅
I would love this recipe!
Me too!
Oh wow I need to try that! I can google it! :) Thanks so much for the inspiration
Love the realness of this video. You’ve pulled back the curtain that so many creators keep hidden.
Hi Becky! The tomato corers are the best tool to de-seed an devein jalapeño halves for pepper poppers. I use mine to core strawberries as well.
Oh my gosh! I’m working on my kitchen organizational skills too! I’ve been watching your channel & now I’m cleaning/organizing my kitchen as well! Thank you Becky. I’ve learned so much from you! My husband is happier too! 🤣♥️
My mum would love this video. When she couldn't be outside in her garden or cutting grass, she would clean drawers and cupboards.
You are such an inspirational and motivated person.I love the realness of you, your expressions, and your reactions to things that happen in real time. You have a lifetime subscriber here!❤❤❤
This was a nice break from watching the news and watching something positive and productive. You inspire getting life clean and organized!
The spice reduction is real. I used to have almost every spice you could possibly have. I put everything in boxes and ask I used them, they made their way to the actual nice spice jars in the kitchen. After just 6 months, I just threw the rest away. So much better
😮 well now, that makes too much sense, lol. That’s what I do with my clothes (hangers backwards at beginning of year), anything not worn by the next January is gone.
smart! I heard of that a long time ago and just never did it. I WILL do it soon. :) @@firequeen2194
I can't wait to spend time with you Becky. I love your encouraging, smiling face. Love your kitchen!
Hi Becky, I love the new streamlined cupboards and drawers. Looks very nice.
Hope you are good and safe with the ice storm ♥️ Keep up the wonderful work!!!
For both jars and lids use alcohol based markers like sharpies. You can write in any color to color code your jars and wipe off the writing with rubbing alcohol. It's especially useful when you're transferring stuff from larger to smaller jars
U give me so much energy. I cant wait to clean kirchen cabinets too!!
It always feels better when you decorated and organize and can start fresh. Love today's video
Enjoyed the video. Thank you. Blessings
I LOVE Dawn/Minimal Mom! She's such an inspiration.
Thank uBecky for being real and human. Love watching and learning from u.❤️🙏
Awesome becky you are an inspirstion! Thank you.
I am overwhelmed and so kudos to you for tackling this .
Clean as you go! That’s what I do- save from messes and if you are diligent on it then it won’t take you long at all on days you are in the kitchen 😊
Next suggestion: Try using your cupboard in the corner with the turntable shelves for
Items like pots or utensils that you don't use real frequently.
I love❤that you post so often! You are so so helpful!
Thank you for being so transparent with what you show us.
I am so impressed that you can remember all those spices once in the jar without labels.. awesome!
I have been doing the same in my kitchen and it does feel like a weight is lifted. Watching you helps to keep me motivated. Thank you for being there😊
Becky, I love listening to the Minimal Mom. She has a lot of great tips and principles for minimizing and decluttering.
