I was told I was 74 days short on collecting SSDI and told to collect SSI.. the system is so messed up. 35 years paid into SSDI.. so where does it go now?

To those collecting SSDI, and they are going to call you lazy, while they take your money.

What is this stuff about in march, now, getting one time triple payment of all these, ssi, ssdi, va, va dis, video says march 4th and we are far past that.
Just wondering if it is a scam.

What happened to SSA? You pay into SSA by working. SSI, you do not have to work to receive it. Like people that are disabled and have never worked. This is the need-based SSI, you speak of.

SSI is not SS, although it is administered by SSA. It used to be state welfare

What about the other way around. VA disability benefits can be cut if u get Ssa disability benefits 2 federal pension?

However disabilities that are recognized by both WILL offset to the highest rate. In simple terms VA bad leg, SSDI bad leg, cant be claimed together.

VA and SSDI have nothing to do with each other. You can collect both.

I was previously on ssdi then when i turned 62 i was told i had to go in the office to apply for ssi then I was approved for P&T V.A Unemployability then went to apply for SSDI and the Social Security Administration office where i go denied me. Can you help me acquire ssdi

You won’t get ssi and va benefits. Your va benefits at the 100% rate disqualified you from ssi.

The local SS office stopped paying benefits to my son because he was earning “too much income.” However, due to his disabilities he only worked 3 months as he could not keep up with the demands of the job. For over a year he was not paid SSDI. The local office said if my son could get a job for $17.00/he ( in California) then he must not be disabled!!!!!

      As of 2024.
Even if you are on SSDI, you can still work making up to $1550 a month. Called Substantial gainful activity(SGA). Look it up!

You still can collect both if not equal to the country living standards. Say u work and all u payed in was only $360 u can collect. $925 is the country living standard then 360 subtract from 925 Ssa will give you $565 from need base state funds. But if u got 2 houses or 2 cars value over $2000. you could not get the $565. You can only have one house and one car. If u have a life insurance policy it gets worse
