I love that you showed how to do this without any complicated machinery! I’m over here just learning how to try to make grape juice and not trying to make it too complicated. Thank you!!!!
I'll drink this one to the next generation, It gives me great pleasure to see you and your daughter sharing such a sweet memory. I am so grateful for your shout out , but more importantly, I appreciate your respect for my Grandfather and the story of his grapevine. 🍇 Best Regards ~ john c
Ye! My pleasure! When I first saw your video I knew instantly what I needed to do, watch it again , and set about to doing it myself. I really connected to your story. It gave me tunnel vision , It inspired me. Thank you for that. That juice was so incredibly delicious! Now grape juice will never be the same for me, in such a good way! Cheers -Justin
Today I processed approximately 15 lb of grapes into this delicious juice. My first time! Thank you both so much. I enjoyed every bit of it from picking the grapes to drinking it and everything in between.delicious! Thanks again. 👍🏻
Hi there, again. I started one month ago making my own grape juice after watching your video. You can see my comments. This is an update. My recipe does not include cooking or extra sugar. Here, the burgundy grapes are sweet enough. I wash 2.2 pounds of grapes (1 kilo), then I put them in a blender with one cup of ice water. I blend for 2 minutes at high speed. Then I use a strainer and a spoon to filter and squeeze all the juice into a bowl. Then I funnel the juice into the bottles. Makes about 1.2 litres. Like you, I enjoy it cold and over ice. The entire process takes about 6 or 7 minutes. I get the benefit of the seed nutrition, the fiber from the grape skins that pass through the mesh strainer, and the most natural juice. So close to nature. But again, you have to be careful and not over-drink this. There's a lot of natural sugar in this juice. Sugar is still sugar. Too much is never good. Anyway, have a great day. Hope you and your family are doing well.
I have a large metal bowl, I pick it full of concord grapes in my back yard put it in the fridge. The next day I was the gapes and put them into my electric centrifugal juicer. It is the best juice I've ever drank in my entire life.
I just watched this video 30 minutes ago. Now I am going out to get some grapes. How's that for inspiration. You are also a great father, God bless you and her.
Very kind of you to say. Thank you. I hope you enjoy that grape juice. Since this video was made, I have been making the juice without sugar. It's great. Don't be afraid to experiment with the amount of sugar to find what is best for you. Please keep me posted on what you think of the juice.
@@ItsGoodintheWoods You are on point about the sugar, friend. My juice came out great. I added the water first, simmered 20, then added some sugar. Then I sieved it. I used 2.2 lbs of burgundy grapes which yielded one liter. It's so nice to know that I'm not drinking preservatives and chemicals. I have to be careful though. It's easy to over-drink this stuff. I would never eat 2.2 lbs of grapes in one sitting.
No problem!! Not sure if you’re really kosher or just eat super healthy/natural but if you are kosher/Jewish you should take a few extra grapes from the first harvest next time and put it on your alter (give to God in some way) so you can share some kiddish with him!! I found your video while making my own Kiddish so thank you for the help and beautifully made video 💕 Your vineyard is amazing 🤩
Dude - I have food forest envy! Homestead is looking great, and to be able to (literally) take the fruits of your labor and make something so awesome is super epic!
Food Forest envy........hahahahahaha made me laugh! It really is an incredible thing. My daughter and I planted those trees and grape vines 3 summers ago. It is beyond rewarding to see the fruit, let alone eat it! Super epic is a great way to put it! Thank you
I heard it through the grapevine that there is a new juice on the streets? Can we be the first to order a crate, great vid Justine all the best. The three toms.
Very cool 👍. It sure takes a lot of grapes to make a little juice. I had a grape vine and used to make my own wine from it. 5 gallons of grapes would get me about a gallon of wine.
You are not wrong...it takes a lot to make a little. ...I bet I could have a pretty good time with a gallon of wine!!!! And quite the hangover to go with it hahaha
It was my first time.....mind blown!!!! Incredible! I am already looking forward to trying it next year....maybe let the grapes go to a frost, and less sugar....
???????? I heard you mention the grape seeds......Can you waterbath can grapes with seeds in them??? Like real concord grapes. Ty! Blessings and Grace!
Man, at first i thought you had said grape wine, because i wasn't paying attention and i was like, yes! My dad made Wild muscadine wine, but it was (is) always too sweet. still have 3 bottles in the closet. I love grape juice, but if you come across a muscadine wine recipe that works, let us know my brother.
This was such a beautiful video until it got to the refined sugar part. ☹ There are so many natural sugars out there that will benefit our health. Coconut sugar, beet sugar, stevia, cane sugar, etc. But thanks for showing us step by step how it's all done. 🙏

Looks great! Can’t beat that. Thanks for showing us, take care.
This will be a hard experience to beat........no doubt. I think we can pull it off though! lol. Thank you for watching. Take care - Justin
This is so beautifully kosher, using the first harvest and everything 💕
Thank you!

That looks really good! Nothing can match homemade things like you did here. Thanks Justin for sharing this with us! Cheers 👍
This was the most incredible glass of grape juice I have ever had!!!!
That looked so good and it sure wasn't very hard to make. Your daughter is the greatest your little side kick
She is the best side kick ever! This juice is delicious! Very easy, but it takes a bit of time. Worth it!!!!
I purchased Concord grapes from the grocery store came home and juiced in my Nama j2 juicer and it was so good.
Fresh made juice is the best!
Oh man, that looks so good.
Pretty fantastic! Absolutely delicious!

That looks delicious! Nothing like fresh off the vine, my great-grandparents grew grapes so we always had plenty growing up.
Thank you! I had never had it before.....it's so good!!
You are lucky to have had that growing up
Well done- I’m inspired!
Thank you. It's real good
Thenks men now I'm ready to make the finest wine in the universe
much love ❤️❤️❤️
Yeah buddy!!!
Yea buddy!! Looks good!! That'll keep ya regular...😂🍺
Yes sir!!! Delicious!

Protip... Use filtered water for longer life in the fridge. Tap water has minerals that will spoil it sooner.
Interesting. We have well water. It is fantastic. But the juice doesn't last long enough to go bad around here lol
Awesome
Thank you
Awesome!!! Looks fantastic! Well done brother!
Thank you my friend! So good!!!
There is nothing like homemade grape juice man. I always had it growing up.
It was my first time.....mind blown!!!! Incredible! I am already looking forward to trying it next year....maybe let the grapes go to a frost, and less sugar....
Oh man looks delicious... the next best thing if you don't have grapes on a vine is... Newman's grape 🍇 juice... lol
We always add a 1/4 cup of sugar to each quart.
Nice!
Lol...do you have to rub it in my face? Now I'll have to make it for myself since you have given me the grape juice fever.
🤣 You will absolutely love it!
Grape juice is one of my favorites!
Same here!
I Love it!!!
???????? I heard you mention the grape seeds......Can you waterbath can grapes with seeds in them??? Like real concord grapes. Ty! Blessings and Grace!
Thanks!
No problem! I don't use sugar in the juice anymore.
That’s awesome!! I love grape juice. Next process is Homemade Wine 😃😃
Me to man! Grape juice is amazing! Always been one of my favorites! Wine is next....!
Thank you for the sugar ratio. I think it needs sugar!
The sugar helps. Some like it, some don't. It is quite tasty without sugar too. But it isn't the same
Excellent! Does boiling stop the fermentation or will the juice ferment in the fridge? I’m new to this and your video really helps. Thanks!
Boiling just helps break down the grape to extract juice and flavor.
NOOOO SUGAR!! lol I gotta find a no sugar recipe that just killed all the health benefits of the grapes, stay safe&happy!!(=
It's a treat,,,,I don't mind the sugar. Damn good dude !
Justin, man do I like grape juice, perhaps in a year or two you can start making wine, cheers.
Grape juice has been a long standing favorite of mine. We plan on making wine when we get more grapes, you are spot on!
Damn that looks good
Was it ever !!!!! Delicious!!!!
Vino next? I'm sure your daughter will love purple feet for a few days!😁👍🌿
When we have enough grapes to do so! She would love purple feet!!! I can see it now......!
How long does it last expired? After made? 3 week?
A great question. Unfortunately I don't have the answer. I always drink it all long before it expires

Why add sugar? Why cook it?....i makr fresh pressed grape juice almost every morning, raw....its heavenly..its healing.
I am going to try pressing it this season if we get a good grape harvest
@Nina Galluzo - I'm gonna try your ideas today also. No cook, no sugar, just pressed.
@@ItsGoodintheWoodsI dig a hundred or so pounds of ramps each year.do you go ramp digging?I'm in WV
what do you used to press them?
Can you freeze the juice?
You can

I don't use sugar for my juice anymore.
Please give me one glass fresh grape juice please 😁
I would love to.....
Why cook it?
I cooked it because that was the method I saw that inspired me. This was my first time making grape juice. Gotta start somewhere
Do u have to add all that suguar.
no. I have since stopped adding sugar
Throw me off with the sugar 🤨
Yeah, not for everyone
