That's music, If mainstream radios were to play this these days??? Imagine. Let's hope we'll keep good music alive otherwise...

Gavin is a drum god and Steven the supreme universal musical being. If you know the later albums maybe check out some of the earlier stuff like ‘Lightbulb Sun’ or ‘Up the Down Stair’, it’s a bit more space prog than the heavier later stuff but always interesting and packed with musical quality, still loads more to go at with PT. If you fancy going really deep check out one of my personal favourites from the earlier work ‘Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape’ from the staircase infinities companion disc to the up the downstair album (there is a YT version all be it without a video)

What can one say about PT. I discovered c. 2018 and have now bought most their albums + DVDs... yes, start with their early stuff (rather Pink Floyd influenced) and go thru the discography. You won't be disappointed!
And also, there is another band, sort of similar to PT. The Pineapple Thief (TPT)... turn down metal 1/2 notch, turn up ballads 1/2.... and, their drummer is the awesome Gavin Harrison. Decent pre-Gavin album "All the Wars", then with Gavin: "Your Wilderness". These are excellent albums. A sample? Track 1 from All the Wars, "Burning Pieces" - will not let you down - Excellent! :) Have fun!

I reckon if you loved this one - you would love Ancestral from Steven Wilsons LIVE DVD Home Invasion from 2018 Live at the Royal Albert Hall. If you want to be truly mind-blown by composition and musicianship!
And if you want to hear Steven go ballistic on his guitar again - try Song of I from the same Live show.

Seconded! Stevens solo work is more than worthy of exploration and also Live is best as he always puts together the most amazing backing bands and singers.

A great performance, like mikeal from opeth, steven really undersells himself as a guitarist.
Lines in my hand or the river by opeth would be a great listen.

Given you wearing an opeth t shirt I presume you familiar with dream theatre either metropolis or octavarium , with regards to porcupine tree arriving somewhere but not here , anaesthize, trains , fear of a blank planet .Older stuff echoes by pink Floyd, suppers ready by Genesis , starless by King Crimson

@@gerryrafferty7500 Thank you, those are some great requests for sure. I've actually not really heard Dream Theater except for a few songs, Another Day and Pull Me Under. Porcupine Tree is so good but I do have a lot left to listen to, and it's gonna be really fun!
Echoes have been on my list too for quite some time. I have to get to that one too eventually.
